Well guys I went down Wed 14th with my R34 GT-T project complete and I was devastated when it crapped out on the first run ... Not sure what the go is yet until I get it back on the dyno but basically it coughed as if starving of fuel and I felt as if I lost about 100hp through the mid range but ... here's the twist ... At about 6,500rpm it all comes back and spins the wheels like nothing is wrong I'm confident there are no air leaks, checked out most of the fuel system but left scratching heads. Runs fine just cruising around and even hits full boost according to the gauge when I boot it but it just runs like a stock skyline instead of a 342rwhp cammed RB25 haha Oh well my pb still remains a 13.5sec but once I get the drama sorted I'll be back down with the now R888 tyres so hopefully they will make a big diff compared to my el' cheapo corsa tyres I had before. By the way Richard, I am highly impresses with your car and thanks for that post! ;-) You must be a very happy man. Absolute awesome ride mate. I wasn't going to get cocky too soon but ... I do have an RB25/30 conversion under way at Hyperdrive MS. So hopefully have that fairly early next year ;-) Anyway, hope all is well guys and keep in touch Thanks, Brendan

Yeah tuning days are perfect just for getting out for a good thrash off the streets and I like the fact that there is no pressure so (as Paul said) it's up to the driver and plenty of track time to improve.

G'day The old man and I are taking the skylines to another tuning day this Saturday 3 September. There is also a hill climb at jacks hill the same day. Does anyone have there CAMS license and WASCC membership and want to bring their cars out? Anyone who doesn't but want to come out for a look anyway are most welcome. There's no spectator entry fees and there is a lunch canteen. 9am - 4pm Would be a great opportunity to meet and greet. Cheers, Brendan

Yeah you're probably right. Didn't get to face any VE's or anything. Beat a few VS-VZ SS commy's. I don't think they were too seriously modded but had the basics - intake, exhaust and all that so I assume they would be pushin something like high 200 or low 300hp atw. The highlight for me was beating my mates Ford BF Boss 260kw automatic with my manual 34GT-T Couple of black VE HSV GTS's doin 11's - they were pretty awesome. Not sure about both of them, but I know one of them was supercharged and pretty bloody serious hp (not sure exactly how much). Someone in the sauwa club was there the first time I went down. He had a midnight purple (I think) 33 GT-R doin low 12 sec runs that I saw. Sounded f**king awesome, had 4 wheels spinning with the launches and looked mint. If you let me know in advance when you're keen to go down, I'll head down again and meet you if you want. I work 8 on 6 off FIFO for a mine site up North so I'm only available every second Wednesday night.

Hey guys I raced on the 20th but, unfortunately nobody else showed up. 13.9sec @ 179km/hr, ate a few v8's so I was happy haha If anyone is interested in planning another night, let me know and maybe we could organise to meet up. I don't think I'll try organise another skyline drag night atleast for a while due to the lack of interest and responses I received. This forum has been very helpful. Does anyone know if the 320km/hr speedo or dash set-up depends on whether the 33 GT-R is a V-spec or not? If not, which particular models do have the 320 speedo? Thinking of buying a 33 GT-R and trying to learn a bit more about them.
