  1. I wish .... my line comes off a RIM, so ADSL1+ is the best it is capable of - and I only get 3Mb out of the theoretical maximum of 8Mb
  2. ^^^ That is a silly question Also, I wish the telcos would concentrate on upgrading current obselete hardware that stops people like me living a whole 7km from the city getting ADSL2+, rather than spending mega-bucks doing tech that people don't really need.
  3. The Ebay fairy brought me some more nice gifts today
  4. The new vegemite is shite inho - Damo is exactly right - they have dumbed the flavour right down to sell o/s. It doesn't even taste like Vegemite anymorew - where is the harsh bite/tang we all know and love? Oh and Damo, sorry to tell you mate, but the cover I bought directly fits like 6 different models of car, and can be slightly modified to fit another 10 or so So, what is your guess?
  5. Some of my favourite cars, mixed with one of my favourite songs - Clubbed to Death Wikkid
  6. Thought you might likeeeeeeeeeeeee Also picking up some suspension for it while we are in Melbourne (all organised). And still deciding on exhaust (and how far to go with it - or not), and wheels.
  7. Some pics of new acquisitions for my new toy. Plus a CF intake tube yet to arrive. Plus LEDs for all internal lights, parkers and number plate lights. Plus lots and lots of little bits and pieces.
  8. ^^^^ gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah I just sold 2 sets - one fibreglass and the other real carbon fibre .... they were posted ot their new owners today ....
  9. The more I look at the CE28Ns, the more I like them ....
  10. haha true Pete .... I will be taking a couple of items with me on the plane to fit for the drive back Dave I will post some photos of bits shortly. So guys, I have done a VERY dodgy photochop of the chrome/black CE28Ns onto my car .... forgive the aspect of the wheels - I don't have a photo of them laying perfectly flat, so they look a bit phucked in my photochop - but it gives you the idea. I specifically like them since the car has a fair bit of chrome on it (and I will be taking off the black window guards so it will look even more chrome) - so they tie in nicely with the black/polished combo imho. Also, the car will be dropped just over 1" all round, so will fill the guards a bit better. I am leaving this picture up for 2 minutes - so those who see it, enjoy and please keep the secret until I get my car. Those who don't - you snooze, you lose I will be taking the pic down in 2 minutes. Anyone found not keeping the secret will be dealt with by me accordingly.
  11. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what to do .... what to do .... and I don't even officially own the car for another 10 days But the Ebay fairy has been bringing nice carbon fibre and other bits for her .... I am pretty excited with some of the gear I have already acquired
  12. yeah I am not a fan of chromies either Ben, but as Dave has said previously .... I am buying a black VIP style car, so dished chrome rims are the shizz .... especially in a super mexican offset like those VKSFs .... I might just give in to his inane rantings yet
  13. yeah Dave those wheels would nearly go on my car - the fronts are perfect, but the rears would stick out 45mm wider than stock and sit 31mm closer to my struts, which may foul. Maybe we can head down to JIS with a jack and try them on when I get it? Might fit - and I can roll the rear guards with Luke's mate's roller if need be. not sure if they will let me try them on though. Pity I am in love with CE28Ns .... and yes bronze ones would look hot on my car Talbo .... but I am kinda thinking the chrome/black ones as they are a bit different. Still undecided.
  14. Stupid finance companies/banks. This attitude was (almost) reasonable when grey imports weren't in the Red Book and difficult to get comprehensive insurance on .... but now they ARE in the red book (even the V35!), and are easy as to get full comp on, I can't see their issue ....
  15. Glad you guys approve of my new wheels ..... I have been doing a shit-ton of research on what will and won't fit .... I am still going to borrow some of the same offset wheels of someone to try on the new beast before I sink my hard earned into the set pictured .... there is not too much information floating around on my new car .... few in the country and almost no-one modifying my specific model yet .... Sorry Abe - hadn't really caught the goss about your turbo (*I only read bits and pieces of the Wasteland as time allows). Looks good mate - but I fear the 0.8+ rear will be quite laggy .... if you are ok that with that, then go for it. If I was you I'd go have a long read about different turbo setups people have used in the forced induction section (which you may have already done). For a daily driver it may be a bit big methinks - unless you are going to whack it on a big ass top mount manifold, and always run a ton of boost through it. Trouble is you just can't drive a car with that much power on the street anyhow unless it is 4wd and/or has traction control - that thin glooks like it was built ro run over 300rwkw every day of the week. But hey, each to their own. If you are happy, then that is all that matters. For me, I am more than happy to have the awesome boost reponse my GT25/30 has, at the expense of 50rwkw that a bigger turbo would bring.
  16. That is a pretty looking turbo there Dave So, what do you guys think of the wheels for my new bus? All you need to know is that she will be black, and a bit lowered The wheels are the best offset I can go - unfortunately the offset of the standard wheels on the car are shameful, and even these wheels are a lot less dish than I want, but I cannot have wheels hanging out of my guards for a daily driver that deals with poholes and storm drains all day every day. I also don't want the cop attention. As it is they will be 34mm closer to the guards than the stock wheels, which will sit them nice and flush. (I have blacked out the centre caps, as I will be fitting them without them and I think they detract from the look of the wheel). CE28N 18x8.5 +30 are the magic numbers .... and will be (slightly) stretching some 225/45 18s over them. What do you all think?
  17. Only the Tomei heavy duty valve springs (these are BRAND NEW and retail for $600 guys - I am only asking $350), 5mm wheel spacers, steering lock spacers and missile switch left people. Offers?
  18. Has anyone else noticed that nearly all of the road deaths this year have been country/highway? So how are all the 50km/h speed limits, speed cameras and defect blitz's helping slow the road toll? Perhaps Mike Joke Rann and his cronies should address the actual problems here ....
  19. For the 4 door lovers out there thinking about buying a Skyline, buy mine! It goes as well as it looks! Easy transport to anywhere in Australia! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Bl...Tu-t275363.html /end shameless plug
  20. To clarify, the 'front lip' is for the front of the bonnet (not the bumper bar) - it makes the standard R34 front bar/bonnet junction look a bit more like it has an R34GTR grille. Pics of all the parts attached - the bonnet lip and fibreglass eyelids are trial fitted (they are rattle-can matte black now, not white).
