Hi, I don't see a 'site sponsor/trader' tag next to your name .... how is your form coming on here and plugging your business without sponsorship? I understand you are not a formal trading business, but the rules still apply. Please respond with your sponsorship status/intentions else your threads/posts willl be deleted. If you have already applied to become a trader/sponsor please disregard Cheers.

yeah nice looking "R32" there .... and it's non-turbo ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
-
Thanks mate .... yeah the Brembo look-alike was not actually what I was after, but you are right. Maybe I should do the "Nissan" red for shits and giggles. The paint is VHT SP-736 Gold (I think they only have one gold colour). I have gold Gram Lights 57C rims, so the whole lot having a gold hue is kinda cool.

Ok this thread has been brought to my attention, and I think many of your sexist remarks are unfair to Cara, and the masochistic keyboard-warriorism displayed by some SAU members is not appropriate. Some of you are complete tools. Thread closed.

Labor/Liberal makes no difference here. Real 'bikies' are people who openly affiliate with clubs like the Finks, Hells Angels, whose only purpose of existing is to 'organise things'. These things are crime, for the uninitiated. These are not lads like Ruby or Pete who just ride a motorbike, and know other guys who ride bikes. This is not even close to the definition of a bikie. As I said, you need to prove yourself to get into the clubs, and the methods by which you prove loyalty are not things normal members of society would ever do. If you have met a real bikie (who these laws are aimed at), then you will know. Yes I do know some, and they are not pillars of society let me tell you. These people have gotten away with way too much, for way too long. Something has to be done. If you chose to join one of these 'clubs' then you are rescinding certain liberties in my opinion, and should not be treated with the same fairness that law-abiding citizens are afforded.
-
^^^ how would you stop these crimials that run the majority of the drugs/extortion/blackmail rackets in Adelaide Ruby? I think the new laws are awesome. By definition to join thse 'clubs' you have to prove yourself (through performing crime), so by definition they are ALL criminals. Was an article in the advetiser a little while back (reputable source I know, but still) that claimed Adelaide bikies have an average of 10 criminal convictions each - with some having over 100. Cleary these are not good people, and should not be tolerated in our society - let alone be walking the streets.

Cool vid, crazy guy and no doubt a very talented driver. But go back and watch the video again - he does not actually drift ONCE! He powerslides. I see no handbrake, no massive angle early entry. Any idiot can powerslide a powerful car around a corner .... and he calls himself a drifter. Dave - you just put [vide0]the url[/vide0] to imbed a vid (obviously replace the 0 with o - I had to do that so the text would work)

Yeah mate I was, but the pads were down to metal n metal when I braked hard on the front passenger side, so since I had a bit of free time today thought I'd put in the QFM HPX front pads I had sitting around. Then I thought - well if I am going to have the calipers off, then I might as well chuck on the rotors. Then I busted the hard barke line between the rotor and the brake line, so I thought I might as well put the set of braided lines on I had sitting around. Then I thought I might as well do the rears as well. So 9.5 hours and many grazed knuckes later, here I am. So, today I did: - Fitted front RDA slotted/passivated rotors (couldn't get rear rotors off - was 11pm by the time I got to them and didn't want to make the noise) - Fitted front QFM HPX pads - Fitted front and rear ADR compliant braided brake lines - Flushed entire brake system with Motul Dot5 and refilled/bled - Painted all calipers gold Result is below
-
Well I have just finished putting it all back together. In the end I gave up on the getting the rear rotors off - making the necessary noise at 11pm seems like a bad idea in my neighbourhood. So, today I did: - Fitted front RDA slotted/passivated rotors - Fitted front QFM HPX pads - Fitted front and rear ADR compliant braided brake lines - Flushed entire brake system with Motul Dot5 and refilled/bled - Painted all calipers gold Phew - 9.5 hours all up. The result is below

Spotted Madaz saving my life this arvo by picking up and delivering to me up a vital brake line component that I snapped, rendering my car undrivable. Thanks a million mate!!!!!! Luke - no need to be sorry bud - it's all good!
-
Yeah I released the handbrake. So there are definitely no other nuts/bolts to remove once the brake caliper is off? Just bash the bit of the disk you can see? Trouble is with the shield around it there is not much room to swing or hit. Damn - might jack it up as high as it will go and get some leverage on the mallet. Thanks! It doesn't seem to have much movement at all - I take it it will gradually loosen up and come off?
-
Hi, is there anyone online who can tell me in the next 5 minutes how the hell to get the rear rotors off an R34GTT? Otherwise I am taking to it with a slegehammer. I assume the handbrake assembly is inside the top hat and I somehow have to undo that? Please help ASAP. I have the car in 1,000,000 pieces right now and want to get it back together.
-
^^^ Krishy explain? What can take all that time?
-
Rest assured we ALL want secure parking facilities ... methinks it will be first in, best dressed when we get there

I have a gazebo shade I can bring Cara. It is not waterproof, but is some form of shade at least.

I am struggling to get the leave pass as it is, so a morning departure is out for me. 1:30pm is probably doable though. But if all else fails I will drive on my own. It is only around 1.5 hours from my place

^^^ The RB25DET NEO is a vastly superior motor to the R33 RBD25ET including enhanced valve timing, cam timimng and various other tweaks. I am surprised your results were so close Son - often there is 10-20% difference between NEO and non-NEO motors with the same mods.

I know Phu talked a lot of smack too But he may have had a massive turbo .... great if you own a dyno queen, but forget mega lag for the street. I remember MattR's white ex-JMS R32GTR that made over 500rwkw, but with the T51R made very little power until around 4,500rpm - when it would make 100rwkw per 1,000rm and the power hit like a hammer. Was quite insane. Awesome for the drag strip and dynos, bloody horrible for the street. Hence why Munro has gotten rid of his and downgraded to a pair of 25/40s for his RB30DETT streeter - significantly improved streetability for a relatively small sacrifice in power. Puts a MASSIVE smile on your face too :P
-
Yep, what Vu said. Note that bigger injectors and cams will not help the stock turbo necessarily make more power, as at over 200rwkw it is well out of its efficiency range. Also note that unless you are lucky, a stock turbo will not last massively long at 12psi. If I were were you I would skip the stocker, as a HKS 25/30 like mine can be had for around $1,500, and the Garrett version even cheaper (makes slightly less power though). Also, yes you would need bigger cams and injectors (my injectors run at up to 96% making 230rwkw) to make 300rwkw unless you went for a stupidly big (read = laggy and unstreetable) turbo. Not sure how long your top end would last with 300rwkw, but seems to be a fair few people doing it around Aus.
-
engine reliably 300rwkw with stock turbo (and supporting mods) reliably 200rwkw

Sure Luke. Sorry, I thought it was my copy. What time are you home tomorrow?
