haha I like : "make yourself useful get me a beer" Not as catchy or rude as the ones I posted, but good nontheless How much were the shirts Nick? I am thinking the shipping will make the price ridiculously expensive on those American shirts, but haven't had time to contact the website to see yet. Who likes/understands the shirt below? Think hard about it and post your thoughts below. -
Errr Brendan - you do realise it is a GTR with around 450rwkw and has run low 10's? You would have kept within sight range for around 30 seconds, and would have been it You had better believe it mate .... BLOCK only. Definitely nothing else included. The crank that Munro is using was a cool $5k on top, then pistons and all the crazy gear incl. 1,600cc injectors - yes you read right. This is how he has spent $180,000 on the car. And yes, he has receipts. Ring Keir Wilson right now and ask him - he has bought around 5 of the OS blocks all up due to blowing motors etc .... his wallet knows EXACTLY how much they cost .... I am not sure what exchange rate they were purchased at, but I am sure it was better than it is now too .... only recently he pointed out to me one sitting under his work bench at Willalls looking all lonely - I told him I would happily give it a home .... but as it isn't quite in my price range there it stayed
-
Yeah mate that's the car - and Munro's engine is the identical specs to Keirs old one, and is making about the same power too. Very scary, but a lot of fun. Sorry Brendan - I didn't see your post until I got home. But you wouldn't have been able to keep up, in all seriousness .... we were going *cough* a bit fast - to give you an idea we did the 50km from Delamere to Victor Harbor down Range Road (favourite road in Australia) in under 15 minutes .... maybe next time yeah me neither - and Munro has 2 of them - one in his 3lt streeter, and one in his race GTR (which is nearly finished and will be running over 500rwkw again on E85).
-
hehe yeah mate - it is a hard slog - but some of us have to do it. However, if you were following earlier a couple of pages ago, I finished typing my valuation reports from yesterdays jobs at just after 5am this morning. Yes, that means I did nearly 10 hours of property inspections during the day, then typed up reports for about 6+ hours more last night. I think I was entitled to take today off Mmmmm lunch and a beer at The Crown was bloody awesome today too
-
Well, sorry to the folks who went to work today, but we and I took the 3Litre Streeter for a belt down to Victor Harbor. WOW what a ride! By far the fastest car I have ever been in (and not surprisingly, given his OS Giken block alone is worth more than my car - they are $30k fyi). Some pics are below. Enjoy. edit: decided to remove the movie.

No worries fellas - I can no longer accept deposits, so yes, just rock up to the meet point, cruise down with us, and you can pay the whole amount on the day. We can pretty much fit an unlimited amount of people - so far it looks like we will have around 15, which seems like a great number. Please can everyone who has paid me a deposit already bring exact change - a combination of $10, $5 note, then $20 more for each refill of 100 balls that you want.
-
hehehe .... even I hate me too sometimes .... we were going to ask Keir to bring down the R35GTR for a burn as well, but he has to work You would hate me more if we were bringing the R35 methinks fyi I have decided to stay up .... watching the sunrise at the moment. Bizarrely I have nearly run out of work things to do - I never thought it would happen! Of course I have phone calls to make - but I don't think everyone would share our zest for this early morning if I rang them now. Are you getting up for work, or returning home from work Dave?
-
oooooh it is so quiet in here in the middle of the night .... Well, now I have a quandry. I have just finished typing up yesterdays mammoth days worth of valuation reports and need to decide whether I should bother going to bed or not. I have to be up at 8am, as Munro is coming to pick me up in the 'OS Giken 3 Litre Streeter' for a burn/cruise down to Victor Harbour for lunch and some cruising/photos. Plus, there is every chance my 1 year old will wake up at 6am and come wake me up then anyhow. So, would I feel better later today if I had 1) a quick 1.25 hour nap, 2) a 3.25 hour kip, or 3) just stay up and do more work (I have plenty more work I can do). Hmmmmm decisions, decisions .... anyone else up at this crazy hour to give me advice?
-
Also, as a reminder : Meet-up at Bunnings Mile End at 8:15am would be the go, and we leave at 8:30am SHARP!

who is this 'Andy' person? It is Andrew Thanks to Jugz for his deposit, and I assume Nos Man is the mysterious $20 deposit I have reference: AGENT DEPOSIT 1988. Is that right Nos Man? Everyone please find below a scan of the official info. Paintball_instructions.pdf

Yeah I am not going to tolerate any of this teenage school yard bitch fighting any more .... everyone is welcome at SAU events - no-one owns them, and failing people being banned for illegal activities or dangerous driving (which will not be tolerated), no-one will be unwelcome. I don't care what personal beefs you have with each other - sort it out by PM or just don't speak to each other. I don't care who said or did what, and to whom in the past. It is going to stop now. If I catch people making other people feel unwelcome again, then I will be the one getting out the permanent ban stick. No-one is immune to my wrath.

^^ babow - I (and a mechanic) have already tried to fit an R33 one, and the stud pattern is slightly different. It definitely would not go.

I am after an R34 clutch fan in as new condition

sweet .... looks like a plan is coming together .... I saw Ash (Oosh32) and Julie on Sunday but forgot to ask if they are coming. I assume they are, as will Guy, I am sure. So, ideas for shirts? I kinda like the SAU shirt idea, but seems a bit too cliche to wear a 'club' shirt to such an event - plus you really want a cheap(ish) wear-once shirt that you know you are going to spill beer, cider, bratwurst, pig hock, sauerkraut and ultimately vomit on. I might look around online and see what I can source. I did see 'Vandelay Industries' t-shirts being advertised out of the USA - they seemed pretty funny - had a pic of George with a globe of the world on his shoulders .... in fact, here (click) it is -

yeah I know where you're coming from Ruby - German beer, yummy German food, half naked drunk chicks running around, shooting some targets, sitting around all day talking shit with the boys .... a simply horrible way to spend a Saturday afternoon once a year -
Well SAU community it is time to start booking time off for the annual SAU Schutzenfest event. As per previous years I will get there early and line up to get the best position available and save a ton of chairs that we will spend the day protecting, stealing back, and ultimately fighting people off for So, I need a few souls to make sure they get there early to help me set up and protect our spot. Date: Sat 12th January Time: 12pm onwards (I will line up from 11:30am to ensure a great spot) I think we should organise a theme shirt for SAU people for the day like last year - it seemed to be a hit. Ideas people? So, who is in?
-
Spotted this in the flesh today .... nearly made me cry
-
The terms 'good' and 'cheap' are contradictions, and should never be put together. As others have said, tyres is the one thing you definitely should not EVER skimp on. If they save your life once, then they are more than worth spending a little extra money on. How much is your life worth?
-
bah, what Xmas function can you possibly have at 9am on a Sunday Nick? You could be out of there by 12pm too - so lunch isn't even an excuse. Cmon mate harden up - I am busting to shoot you Yeah, lucky Rec is in Paris atm .... have you been following his blog and pics? Very interesting reading! Check it out here (click) if you are interested.

haha I took that photo after spending around 5 hours last night cleaning up my office. I had even spray and wiped the desk for the 2nd time in 6 years Already sine that photo I have piles of papers (jobs) piling up all over the place and the usual bevy of empty coffee cups and drink glasses ....

thanks guys ... yeah I like the setup - it is what I have been wanting to do for a while now. The price of the 2433BW has recently fallen, plus they have a $50 cash back deal, so now was the time. Can't describe how much I am loving the Samsung - such a crisp, clear picture .... makes the AOC (it is an entry level monitor) look pretty ordinary. Glad someone noticed/appreciated my CS guys Kietz - I think they are awesome. Of course, they are from 1.5 days with various costumes and camo gear. Hey the laptop kicks ass too - thanks mate! And oh yeah, how did you get such a slamming gf?
-
I bought a new toy today - 24" Samsung Syncmaster 2433BW LCD Monitor. The old AOC 22" LCD gets relegated to my spare movie screen while I am working I am very happy with the setup! What do you guys think?

Just keep them coming mate. If people put down a deposit, then they are MUCH less likely to pull out closer to the event or be too lazy to show up. The more deposits, the better. Plus it gives me an idea of how much bbq stuff to buy to cook for lunch.
