Nice work Ben - it will be great to get some more faces coming along ... what is the rest of people's excuses? Oh, and the needle is not that bad - you just look away and stare into the pretty nurses eyes, and you won't even notice it. By far the worse part is the glucose test in the interview .... but don't worry about that - just make sure you ask them to get you in the side of the finger, not the pad. Last time the guy did it in the side and I barely felt a thing! The needle is a piece of cake. And it gets even easier the more times you go. Both Shaun (Evil34) and I were a bit pasty and needed an extra 5 minutes sitting down and a couple of Powerades the first time, but by the 2nd time giving we had no problems whatsoever. Plus, as others have said, the free cheese/biccies/iced coffees/sandwiches makes it all go down a lot easier Remember everyone too, to have AT LEAST 2 litres of water in the morning before you go. Trust me, you will feel a lot better afterwards if you have lots of water in you! Cmon guys - one day you will more than likely get someone pregnant and she has a baby. Believe it or not, many women have to have blood after giving birth - and sometimes the platelets are used for the babies too. Or imagine someone you loves gets into an accident and needs blood? Imagine had some lazy/nonchalant/apathetic people actually gone out and given blood (rather than rely on everyone else to do it) it could have saved yours or a loved ones life. It is SUPER easy to give blood, and you really could save someone's life! People with legitimate excuses I have absolutely no problem with, of course

absolutely unbelievable .... I had a proposed friends Xmas get together, that was planned for 29 Nov, changed to Sun 7th Dec because of the now cancelled SAU Xmas party. Now I have to miss out on this SAU Xmas party, as it now clashes with the friends Xmas get-together What are the odds?!

+1 to what Heslo said .... even my Mum is tech-savvy enough to use internet banking .... Don't worry mate, if you are 100% in, and I can take your word on that, then you can pay on the day. But, if you say you are coming, and I rely on that, and then you don't rock up, then we are going to have issues. You may be a man of your word, but like I already stated, it is VERY frustrating for organisers of events to have a ton of people say on the forums yes, yes, yes, but then when it is time for the actual event have everyone pull out like a little bitch with every excuse under the sun. This event is already a good example - where in Eddy's original post there were well over 20 replies of 'yes I am in'- yet currently I have a whole 4 deposits (excluding my bunch of mates) .... Cmon we need more people too - it is only $25 ffs - that is a $10 discount off the normal price, and you get to go on a 2 way Skyline cruise half way to Victor Harbor as well! I will be cooking up a barbie for lunch also ....

yeah just transfer me the $10 already .... it is not that hard EVERY SAU event has a thousand people say they are coming, but then on the day every excuse under the sun comes up when they don't turn up. By paying a deposit you are 1. giving me a guarantee that we will have minimum numbers, and 2. that you actually turn up.

If what d!ckhead Elmer Fudd (K Rudd) and his posse are proposing goes through, not only will the internet get massively slower (like it isn't slow enough in Aus already) due to the onerous filtering each ISP has to do, but so much content will be unavailable to us indefinitely. It is a pathetic knee-jerk reaction to counter parents who can't supervise their kids properly, or are too cheap/lazy to download free NetNanny style software to protect their own children. spotted this very sexy beast on MacIntyre Road around lunch time today *drool*

WOW, I saw this car with 4 cop cars chasing him around 2km from the Montague Road intersection as I was travelling the other way on Bridge Road yesterday. Saw the commo coming the other way and thought "damn he is going fast" - no way was he only doing 120km/h - the commo sounded pretty worked and was revving off its tits as it blasted the opposite direction past me. So .... he collected other cars when he got to the Montague Road intersection - I knew by the speed he was doing he was going to get himself and others in trouble. Not something you see every day ....
