  1. Yeah was a great night out. Shame most people went elsewhere and didn't bowl, but it worked out well in the end having 5 per lane. Who is the bowling king? 201 ftw
  2. which car wash?
  3. came across this article in my travels (click)
  4. From memory they need the wheel off the car for a day. Definitely can't do it on the car - it involves hand sewing - would not be possible to do while on a vehicle. I think all Nissan steering wheels fit other Nissans, so you could put any old wheel to put on your car for a day, while your wheel was being done. I could be wrong though - has anyone tried a different wheel on their R33/R34? I would LOVE to get my hands on a Momo factory R34 steering wheel, but they are as rare as hen's teeth.
  5. ok, just got a response back from Willshires. The best they can do is $240. I was hoping for cheaper, but "As for a special price, due to the (hand stitched) nature of this work, larger volumes of wheels are of no extra advantage. However what we can offer is an exclusive price to you $240 inc gst per wheel." RRP is $264 inc gst apparently, so not a big saving, but some nonetheless. Let me know who is keen.
  6. Yeah I think you buggered up the conversion there .... Oh, and if that is what u r after, Jap Import Spares has had an R34GTR engine sitting there for sale for aaaaages for $8,5000 complete with turbos, plenum, ECU etc etc Also there currently is a R34GTR Nur engine on Aus Ebay for $9,500 atm
  7. Ok, so I am sort of hijacking this group buy with Adz blessing. I have emailed my mate and he will be in contact with Peter (owner of Willshires) shortly. I will let you know what price we can get done for what sort of volume. Yes, there are a variety of colours, yes you can get 2 tone, and yes these cover your oem steering wheel. Keep registering your interest in this thread guys so I can gauge what sort of numbers we are talking.
  8. I had Willshire do a 2 tone light grey and dark grey one in my S15 - looked very hot. I want a grey/black one for my R34, but don't want to pay $260. Since a good friend of mine is a very good friend of the owner of Willshire, I might ask him to negotiate a good deal for us.
  9. bah, you young'uns .... the Adelaide car scene had pretty much already peaked and died before you even joined SAU 2002 join date ftw
  10. bah - I didn't come down this arvo Martin, as you were supposedly 'crook' .... I had Munro in-tow too
  11. wow that parts list is impressive Mark - can't wait to see what it makes tuned! I am guessing around 350rwkw?
  12. Whiplash just SMSd me to say he now can't make it. His internet is down and his SMS message reads "I can't post on SAU since I am having a disagreement with my ISP - they think I shouldn't have a connection"
  13. So .... what sort of figure did you get Martin? Around 350rwkw I hope. Care to post a dyno sheet? If the car/you/Keir are about tomorrow afternoon I might have to come down and go for a spin - work is looking a bit slow so I might have the time
  14. Well I spend ALL DAY on the road and almost always have my cruise set on 66/67km/h .... like I said this is the first time I have been flashed in over 10 years. I was once told by a cop that they generally give up to 10km/h over the speed limit on cameras, as 10% is the legal allowable error on your cars speedo, and then they have a little bit more headroom for the cameras not being perfect.
  15. I got my first speeding fine in 10 years today .... only 70 in a 60, but still $203 .... I saw the mobile camera flash go off - it was facing the other way and was in a bad spot where a few lanes converge and I was gunning a little bit to merge around a parked car on Newton Road I assume that if I was doing 69 it wouldn't have gone off, since I hear the up to 10km/h amnesty is still in affect.
  16. bah you guys need more hobbies, or a harder job .... I am still typing valuation reports .... and trawling the forums ....
  17. ZOMG - Miss Cheeky - actually posting on SAU Like I have said to John on a number of occasions it is a whole $5k to do a show quality paint job on a brand new car. And rather than detract from resale value, I think it would actually enhance value to have a Bayside Blue one! As I keep saying to John dddddddddddddddddddooooooooooooooooooooooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
  18. I heard all R34GTR drivers are bit up themselves actually .... j/k .... and to think I made a special effort to go to Luke and Flick's to catch up with you and have a beer on Sat night Pete and you didn't even bother to show Haha it's all good mate. And yes, Michael is a top bloke
  19. I can 1,000,000% assure you it is not a personal import (number one fact it is a 2008 build, number 2 fact you have to own the car in Jp for over a year {or is it 2 years now?}). The import has been approved by RCVS and there are only 1 or 2 workshops in Aus that can bring in 25 each. All of the plates have already been allocated as far as I know, but for some reason this plate was issued quicker than the others, as bureaucratic red tape is holding issue of plates up. There are probably cars sitting in workshops with all the compliance work already done, just waiting for the green plate. RVCS approval (click) Under the RCVS approval you HAVE to buy the car direct from Nissan Jp (so anyone who brought one in prior to the ruling cannot comply it) and the car has to be brand spanking new (under 20 kilometres). International Motor Group had the compliance done by GT Compliance on this one, and they are well known for getting things done first. You can buy one from these guys (click) There is someone hocking complied ones on Car Sales, but the price is too cheap - so not sure what that is all about. R35GTRs for sale edit regarding this comment : Mate, have some common sense - anyone who is anyone knows the R35GTR was released December 6 2007 .... whether they were 'launched' at the motor show or not.
  20. yeah Pete, as Luke said the owner's name is Michael. FYI it is Paul Rogers' old car (ex-Adelaide 36s basketballer) and has full on red leather interior. Car was standard mechanically when Michael bought it, but I think he has been tinkering with it. Looks and sounds pure porn!
  21. Nice photo there Martin. But in response to Craig's comment - it doesn't look ANYWHERE near as big on its own. When in the lineup it does look bloated, but let me assure you that the proportions are spot on, and when you see the car on its own it doesn't look that big.
  22. here is a pic I took last week of the road registered R35GTR in Adelaide oh, and another one of me in the driver's seat
  23. errrr I think it slipped out of gear for a sec and then snapped back in or something .... it's those evil Jim Beams I tell you - only takes a couple to get me going
  24. Just got back from Luke's place .... all I have to say is good crowd, few bourbons and mmmm Flick's cocktails. What were you doing posting just now Flick? - I thought u guys were inside watching 2 girls, 1 cup
