my black 4 door R34 is available .... did Premo's wedding a few weeks back with Sled's R34GTR and Evil34's R34GTT
-
I saw pics of this many months ago, so can't be too recent .... apparently was a test drive idiot, as usual
-
Far out Jared. If I was you I would put a Club Lock AND wheel clamps on any car you park there from now on. That Sucks!
-
zomg that looks totally crap - the Wachowski brothers should hang their heads in shame.
-
Yat I was spotted for once! Sorry I don't think I saw you Dohmar.

yeah I made my donation many years ago - old man that I am FYI Paypal is the ONLY payment method going to be available on Ebay as of June. That means NO MORE direct deposits. I thought this is a little bizarre, but has come from Ebay itself. The kicker is that Ebay owns Paypal, and for any business or high volume sellers they make you become a premium member, in which case all money that comes to you gets 3% taken out as their fee. Imagine how much money Ebay/Paypal is making a day out of the 3% from nearly everybody! It is super convenient though!

That is quite unbelievable. And I bet even if it is those that were caught, they will be let off with little more than a slap on the wrist and do it again. Seriously, it is going to get to the stage of vigilanteism sooner or later. It does not bode well for the future, anyhow.

I really do hope your info is good Nick - but not holding my breath

That is not what I heard Nick. Apparently work is currently underway to resurface the REST of the track, but NOT the drag strip. For drifting activities I would assume. Since BJ won't play ball with ANDRA, we will NEVER see top fuel or any other kind of dragsters there again - so why would he spend several hundred grand to resurface the strip and redo timing gear, when it will never make much income. The big boys and big comps are where the $$$ are, and since ANDRA are not interested in AIR, it will never happen. He doesn't really care about our street drags - and never has.

not bad at all. See, this double makes me wonder how people want up to $20 for the DR30s.
-
I would definitely get him to rego it over there. 1). imagine you got it here and they an issue with compliance papers and needed more evidence or something = MAJOR headache. 2). they WILL make you put it over the pits at Regency if it has never been registered before and you just don't know if it has minor chassis dents from being moved with a forklift in Japan, minor hidden rust that they demand to be cut out, worn steering components that they demand are replaced, worn bushes, too loud exhaust, minor oil leaks, etc etc. The FURTHER it stays away from Regency the better!

Best Place To Get An Alarm System Installed
Nightcrawler replied to Spangers's topic in South Australia
David bought the MFD off Yahoo Japan through Slidewise (importer/middle-man) for around $1,100 landed here. This is a great price, and the cheapest he had seen for a while. I believe they go for around $1,500 normally. Then you have the cost of getting a fibreglass shroud made up (if you don't want to do this you can hack into your dash and try to just mount the MFD in its enclosure). Then you have to wire the thing up. Not an impossible job, but a LOT of stuffing around and soldering - we are up to about 25 wires that need to be spliced into from the main ECU and Atessa ecu, then vaccum sealed onto connectors which go into the back of the MFD. Like I said, not an impossible task, but a pretty big job. If you are fairly fluent in soldering and basic auto electrical things, you should be able to do it yourself (we will do Davids between us). Given how sweet these things are, and how we have figured out how to trigger the Aux Video in so he can watch DVDs or use his car PC (including PowerFC readouts/monitoring) on it also, it is a very cool thing and well worth the effort. It is even more tempting for me, as I have a bolt-in place to put one in my R34 -

^^^ haha so you saw my brother-in-law's R33 in there in past couple of days Luke? We have had the R34GTR MFD on his test bench playing with it for a few weeks and figuring things out and how to best wire it up to work 100% on his R33. It is an interesting project. The wiring is going to be a NIGHTMARE but we have got most of it figured out (with some help from a Singaporean guy who has already done it to his R33GTR). He has also bought a fully fledged Car PC and 7" VGA touch screen monitor and we have been playing with an awesome piece of software called 'Centrafuse', which is all-in-one car entertainment management software - including MP3 library functionality, DVD player, Bluetooth for mobile phone integration, Sat Nav etc etc. He also has awesome PowerFC software that lets him play real time with his PowerFC tune and mapping, and does virtual gauge readout through the Car PC and touchscreen monitor. When it is all finished I will get him to come on a cruise to show it off. Truly amazing stuff. FYI his name is David, and his username is 'Red Back' on here. I have his old HKS 2530 from his written off R33 on my car now His Series 3 R33GTR is pretty lusty hey?! Puts out a bit of power too Oh and Spangers - I definitely would not be mentioning the specific model of alarm on the forums - unfortunately they browse forums, and if you tell the exact model of your alarm it makes it easier for them to do their homework. Oh, and John from Marvey Tech is awesome - he knows his sh!t. -

^^ fixed. There you go grammar Nazi I didn't notice that one, but you'd be surprised how many spelling and grammar mistakes I make in thread titles. -
^^^ hahaha true - you looked like you had seen a ghost I did the same my first time. But it gets MUCH easier and I didn't have any side-effects whatsoever last night
-
yeah was a bit of a poor turnout, but we will make it bigger next time, won't we people! Nice to meet you scandy - nice Aristo j/k Sat 9th September with lunch afterwards at either 'Simply Thai' or 'Saffron Indian Restaurant' Donate or BAN!
-
That sucks mate - did they actually break in to either of your Lines? Yep I am keen for one of these weekends in coming times - much more likely later spring/early summer would suit me best. Did you actually manage to get any lines/nets in and catch anything?
-
wtf no haters - just advice. It is a stupid idea and will cost you 5 -10x more than you think (since you were quoting $1,500). sounds like you are the only hater here .... WTF?????? Lay off the crack pipe mate. This is one of the stupidest things I have ever read on the internet .... Of course you won't make your money back, but buying a car for 'X' then spending 'Y' on it, when you could buy a complete car (like a GTst) for 'X+Z', which is MUCH less than 'X+Y' is plain stupidity I think you will find we were all trying to help You asked our advice and you got it. It is a stupid idea. Now you know.

I'll be getting there around 5/5:30pm. It is at Pelican Plaza - where the Hungry Jacks is corner of North East Rd and Golden Grove Rd.

zomg how can a DR30 be worth as much as an R32GTR, nicely modded R33 or R34GTT? I just don't get it - they are old cars with little going for them other than they are getting a bit old. Not classic old though - just old. The interiors are spew-worthy, and everything would be wearing out on them due to age. I just can't imagine anyone paying even half what that guy is asking. Each to their own though, and yours is a tidy example Glenn. I just don't understand the value, that's all.\ Put the street cred, mind-blowing performance & handling, modern(ish) styling and all over WOW factor of a $20k R32GTR next to a $20k DR30 and you don't even have a competition, in my opinion. Not even in the same league. That said, I absolutely can't believe the morons paying up to $750k for original GTHOs and Monaros - it boggles the ming how someone would buy one for that price instead of a Lambo, Ferrari, etc plus heaps of change. Classic is classic, but WTF?
-
^^^ yeah that list was just a minimum - even the prices on that list are light on. Every single time I have done anything to my car, and have budgeted a certain amount, rest assured every time is comes up to around double my original estimate. And yes, you would also have to consider a brake upgrade to comply with Regency, and probably other countless things too.
-
haha you beat me to it Steve - as per normal SAU events, just over half will actually turn up. The rest will come up with pathetic excuses like 'I completely forgot about it and went out and got smashed', 'I slept in', 'I couldn't get away from work' etc etc

I have a set off my 4 door. Pretty sure they are the same. Don't want to sell, but will hire out. Depending on the strut tops his coilovers have, he may be able to use his existing strut tops on my shock/springs, as I don't have spare ones of these (the oem ones are on my car with the Bilsteins/King Springs).
