Door Lock Jimmied, Now Buggered
Nightcrawler replied to Lemonnuff31's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I am under the impression that they actually just clip on from the outside in 2 seconds. Keep in mind too that the link I posted is the our passenger side (G35 drivers side) - you would need the other one. -
We desperately need more numbers for this, else I am going to pull the pin. Anyone else interested?

Door Lock Jimmied, Now Buggered
Nightcrawler replied to Lemonnuff31's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Assuming your remote still unlocks the doors, I would forget about replacing the lock and put one of these on. Problem solved! http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-INFINITI-G35-COUPE-DRIVER-SIDE-DOOR-KEY-LOCK-DELETE-/181222545895?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a31b499e7&vxp=mtr -
V35 Accelerator "touchy" At Highway Speed

I couldn't live without cruise control in my V35 - it is awesome and worth every cent imho. -
True mate. I have been married 10 years already! Found these great pics from a cruise in 2002 too. Wonder who owned one of those maroon R32s?

Lol, yes there are a few of us oldies still around Greg .... I joined in mid 2002 - 11 years ago - hard to believe. Came across these the other day when looking at some old pics :D

F S : V35 Coupe Urethane Nismo Style Front Bumper Bars If you have ever dabbled with aftermarket bars for the V35 you will come to realise (as I did) that our cars are VERY low, and fibreglass bars break quite easily and are an endless source of frustration. I finally bit the bullet and ordered one of these awesome copy Nismo urethane bars out of the USA. Then when I got a postage quote of $1,250 I nearly died. So I bought a few to make the postage cost effective, and subsequently have spares for sale. They are imho superior to the factory Nismo items, as these are made of urethane (in fact they almost feel like rubber), whereas the genuine bars are fibreglass and break with a decent crunch. The fit is near enough to perfect, and indicators fit near enough to perfect also (unlike the other fg bar I have had, the fit of which was AWFUL). They are located in Adelaide, but I can ship if required. I would imagine shipping would be around $100-$150 within Aus depending on destination. Weight is around 10kg, but obviously cubic weight is much higher. $900 each ono (which if you have ever imported one yourself you will realise is a great deal - and saves you the headaches importing them and the issues and costs with customs I won't go into!). Grab one before I put them on Ebay for $1k each! These are THE bars for V35s in my opinion, and given they are urethane and almost unbreakable, may be the last bar you ever buy for your V35.
-
Yeah but look at it as an investment - if you went out and bought a fibreglass bar for say $350 and had it painted $250-$300, you would break it in around a year and need a new one (like I did). Instead, buy one of these for $900, have it painted $250-$300 and it should last you for the life of the car ... plus the finish on them isn't bad - you could easily run around with it fitted and unpainted until you could afford to get it painted

For anyone that hasn't seen my thread on the V35 front page (I know I almost never check it) - anyone after a Urethane Nismo copy front bumper? I remember a while back when I discussed bringing some in a few people wanted them. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/432230-f-s-v35-coupe-urethane-nismo-style-front-bumper-bars/

So, seriously, 135 views and 3 confirmed attendees? Cmon people - I am amazed people are so selfish. What if it was your Mum that needed blood and she died because there was none? Or your girlfriend, or best mate? They are so low on blood, this seriously could happen.
-
Hi SAUers, SAU at a National level have decided to have a 'give blood' drive. This will be a chance for you to give something back - 1 in 3 people need blood in their lives, and I think we have a responsibility to give blood as (generally) young, healthy individuals, who care about others Obviously there are some limitations with people who have had tattoos within the last 6 months, have lived for more than 6 months in the UK, and various other things which can make one ineligible, but even if you can't give, come along say hi, and support the cause. So, the format is, we all rock up at Regent Arcade in the the city at 9:30am Sat 26th Oct and do it as a group. I have booked us in as a group under the banner of Skylines Australia, and this will be a bit of a National competition to see which state is the best and can get the most donors on board. If you haven't given blood before, don't panic - it really is easy and mostly painless except for a tiny pinch. The upside is that you get free food and drinks at the Blood Bank (there is always a wide variety of things there like professionally made sandwiches, chocolate bars, biscuits, iced coffee, soft drinks etc etc). Also, if you park in the Hungry Jacks carpark, you get your ticket stamped by the blood bank and your parking is FREE! So, who is in? Get behind this guys, and give something back to the community. You just never know whose life you may save. SAU Qld have already started giving last year: http://www.donateblood.com.au/who-can-give/club-red/view-group-tally?group_id=6148 The SAU:SA Club will also be heavily promoting this among our paid members, so hopefully between the Club and the public forums we can get some great numbers! Confirmed attendees Nightcrawler Tony's bro Panzer

^^^ looks like a Synergy Imports marketing shot - am I right? The sedan looks pimp wearing coupe wheels!

+1 check for grammar. Sheesh, is it really that hard to use a little punctuation so we can tell what the hell you are rambling about?

Buying A 2008 Skyline Vkc36 370
Nightcrawler replied to WASP's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Just go to the carsales/whatever ad, select and right click all the text in the address bar at the top of your screen (the www....... bit), then in the reply window of SAU hit the 'link' button just above where you are typing (it looks like the link of a chain) and press 'control+v' keys to paste the address, hit 'ok', then hit 'Post' -
V36 370Gt Sp Model - $29900
Nightcrawler replied to foibles's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
No worries - no of course it's not against SAU policy - you can ask whatever the heck you want. I just thought it was a typo tbh. I was kinda hoping you were getting more eager to sell (average time to sell these things is around a year+ from what I have seen on Carsales etc), and meant to DROP the price to $25k - then I would buy it. -

Why would you not post pics, km and specs, so we can give you a real opinion? If it has 200,000km, then it is a crap deal. If it has 10,000km it is amazing deal, but has probably been wound back. Welcome to the forums, but please use your brain when you put up a new thread. -
V36 370Gt Sp Model - $29900
Nightcrawler replied to foibles's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
So hang on, you had it advertised for $29,990 without the wheels/sus (and mentioned that you were getting $2,750 for them) - so now after 3 months on the market and zero bites, you are increasing the price to $34,990??? -

I think the autos are great Julian - but yes, Mike does the valve body upgrades and it makes quite a difference. I am yet to do it, but it is on my list. If you wanna take mine for a spin give me a bell. Are you keen on V35s again? -
So, how did the cruise go? Can't believe no-one has posted on here what went down ....

They always use the market rate, not the real rate. That said, if you shop around you can always get close to market rate - American Express outlets give the best rates in my experience - you can normally get just 1-2c lower than market for a wire transfer or bank cheque. -

Bose is an option available to all models, and the SP does not come with it standard (but is extremely common in the SP). Replacing the headunit is a no-no, as the a/c controls are built into the stock unit. It is theoretically possible, but would be a MASSIVE custom job. -

Yes the V36 is a huge leap in quality, performance and style over the V35 imho. The reason for the price difference is that we get royally screwed here in Aus on both import and luxury tax. Another example is the R35GTR - a Premium is around US$100k in USA, or 8.75M Yen in Japan - yet is $170k here.
