  1. Anyone know where I can get an R34 boot lid for a decent price - either in unpainted fibreglass, or black carbon fibre look. I am also after a vented bonnet to match if the price is right. While I am at it, does anyone know of anywhere that does GTR style front bars to fit an R34 GTT?
  2. have you still got the P Zeros?
  3. I see a light silver 4 door R33 around Northgate area from time to time - he is always racing around like a dickhead. May be the same guy That would be my brother-in-law David (Redback on SAU) - I bought those number plates for him for his birthday Haha I spotted Shannon 3 times in one day last week - we had a laugh about it driving along Golden Grove Road shouting to each other out our windows. Do you like her new black roof? Stickers - a good idea really - you can just rip it off when/if you get sick of it. MattR and I have talked for years about covering a whole car with carbon fibre contact and entering it in Autosalon to see how it goes lol
  4. I am pretty sure that the offset of a GTR is miles different to a Ford. Check up on it, but I am pretty sure GTRs are like +20 and Fords are more like +40. Not all Falcons are the same either - I know that E series are different, but I believe BAs are the same offset as an R33 gtst
  5. yep took me 18 months to sell the S15 - can anyone beat that?
  6. yep I agree with Darren (not to say you haven't got a point Paul - I understand where you are coming from). If the Labor state govt pushed for much harsher penalties/stricter judges/higher minimum sentences or punishments, then ultimately I believe they would get them. All that needs to happen is for 'The Gang' to visit/rob/whatever the houses of these do-gooders, so they feel the real effects of crime, so are more willing to put these scum away and throw away the key. Why do we have to live in fear, due to a minority with all the 'power', as we, as a society, are 'powerless' to do anything about them.
  7. Yeah dickhead Labor puppet Mike Bland keeps crapping on and on and on about extraditing Rev Mountford back from overseas to appear on the basis of some mentally challenged/unstable guy looking to get back at the world and get some compo - yet they catch these f**king coons and prove they have committed the crime, then let the bastards go on bail where they know they are very unlikely to appear at their court date. Honestly if I caught one of them breaking into my house or car I seriously would kill or maim them. I have had more than enough. The politician/court system is forcing us to take the law into our own hands. 'The Gang' have absolutely no respect or fear of cops or anyone else, and are not going to stop. On the similar topic, how about we take away tv, internet, comfy sheets/beds, phone calls, visitation and all other luxuries from prison. It seems that prisons have become so comfortable crooks have little fear of it, and in fact many would live/eat better in prison than on the outside. Maybe if prison was a dank concrete box, they would think twice about the consequences of crime. They certainly have no discouragement now - with more and more lax penalties/sentences, and a good standard of life behind bars. The only people to suffer under these proposals are CRIMINALS. They deserve much, much worse.
  8. yeah should be ok to drive around for a little while, but when gaskets start to leak they can tear and will leak further and further around until your car is undriveable eventually. Round figure for a workshop to remove the turbo, remove the manifold, replace the gasket and put it all back together again is around $300-$500 - it is not a massive job, but is fiddly and can be time consuming. Then you have the risk of nuts being rounded or studs being snapped if they were done up ridiculously tight or have rusted. Then you are up for quite a bit of hard earned if that happens. If you are mechanically minded it is not a difficult job to do yourself - I had never changed a turbo before and I did mine as well as fit a dump pipe and new wastegate actuator - wasn't a hard job really - just time consuming.
  9. lol $50 for a stereo install - good luck with that! The male part of the loom (if you do an install properly) to plug into the factory loom is $30 at cost. Plus tons of soldering and mucking around. Hence why me selling the conversion loom is crazy value at $50.
  10. spotted Vange parked in the city with him next to the car yesterday - hope you realised it was me yelling out to you mate
  11. fyi we don't have any form of EPA testing here in SA. The only place that does any sort of emission testing (for getting your car engineered for example) is Mitsubishi, and the charge around $4,000 per test. As long as your pod is mounted securely, have a cat converter, legal db exhaust, and you change your turbo back to stock, you will be fine on the emission side of things. Don't bother going with coilovers as they won't let you pass.
  12. When I parked my car in Ward St when my wife had a baby the other week I activated both kill switches, pulled the fuel pump fuse, put on my Club Lock premium and of course armed my pager alarm. I take it you will use the same common sense when parking your car in one of the state's number 1 steal zones in the future. Glad to hear you got it back!
  13. I have a prewired conversion loom to plug your stereo straight into your standard stereo loom, assuming all Skylines are the same (I made it for my R34). $50 if you want it. Plug and play.
  14. Damn Luke that sucks. Glad to hear u r ok though. Ask if they have a camera on that intersection - you might get lucky. Yes she was a pretty girl and in fantastic nick. Such a shame. If you have the place to store the car, and the time to do it, you could definitely make a half decent profit if it only costs $3.5k to buy back. Keep in mind that selling parts is extremely slow, but once you get your money back you are even and can sit on the rest of the parts until they sell and won't care if it takes a while.
  15. I had my 34 egged last week while the car was parked out the front of Calvary hospital while my wife was giving birth - left a nasty mark over the drivers door handle, and got egg yolk all down in my window winder mechanism - wish I could have caught the f$#%ers do it.
  16. Flick - Madaz gave me your number. Munro and Cheeky were out cruising in the Beamer and were going to go to the Lacrosse club to meet up with you all - not sure if they did or not. Howie - I would love a full res pic of the black 35 on the angle - that car looks PIMP. That is exactly what I was contemplating bringing in when I grabbed my R34 - kind of wish I had, but I would miss the power of the GT2530
  17. damn man I need a photocopier - can they hold it until tomorrow? I realise it is after 4pm now, but I just saw the post.
  18. wtf are Commos doing at SCS? I am pretty sure that Small is in the title of the show. Nice pics guys - pity my newborn arrived, so I couldn't come and join in .... ah well there is always next year.
  19. yes I agree with Chops - I am sure Munro wouldn't mind his R33GTR streeter and/or R33GTR race car to reappear in HPI (they haven't been in HPI for a few years). The streeter is only running about 400rwkw atm, with the racecar making seriously more. Both are extremely tidy indeed! The racecar is now Ford Blue - the XR6t colour). FYI his racecar is still one of the fastes in the country with a very low 9 second pass. +3 for Whatsisname's R33 - it is an absolute stunner in every respect.
  20. buy Sniper911s R34 - once you drive an R34 you would never dream of buying an R33 (no offence meant to R33 owners ). Definitely sounds like it might be RedGTSTs car, the power amount sounds right and bodykit sounds it too .... And DO NOT rely on any car yards warranty - they are not worth the paper they are written on. As soon as you leave the car yard you are absolutely screwed - as they will say that you flogged the piss out of it (which you will), and caused any damage/problems.
  21. average price around the place here in SA is $250 to paint a bar, so I would imagine slightly less to spray and wing. Most places charge $70-$100 per hour, so you get basically nothing for $50!
  22. I put some of the Shell Ferrari tested fuel (VMax?) and my R34 pinged its ring off the 1st time I booted it. Siphoned it out and went straight back to reliable Mobil 8000 or BP Ultimate
  23. Thanks everyone .... things are still going well! Carolyn is a bit tired, but all in all coping well. He is very placid and generally very quiet, but I can't imagine this trend continuing! Thanks to NismoSpo for his first piece of Skylinerama - a GTR branded bib. I will post some pics when I get home. Unfortunately some guy ran into Carolyn in her Accord Euro when she was on the way home from the OB Friday week ago (when she was 1 day overdue - boy he felt bad), so the baby seat actually already is in the back of the 34 at the moment, while the Honda is being repaired ($5k damage)
  24. It is with great delight I introduce you to Tyler John, born Thurs 1 Nov at 8:20pm. Weight 9lb 10.5oz, length 52.5cm. Needless to say, he is a big boy Carolyn and Tyler are both doing great. He is quite alert and generally very happy. Have only had a couple of tiny cries and I got a solid 6 hours sleep last night (can't say the same for Carolyn though). We couldn't be happier! I dropped home quickly to pick up some things and am off back to the hospital for the next few days, so will receive your well-wishes/responses when I can.
