  1. yeah I offer $200 plus postage for it.
  2. I never got a PM for the first group buy. I am up for a set for an R34GTT. Please put me down and send me a PM on how/when to pay. Cheers, Andrew
  3. Won't be long before the crooks catch onto the fact that these things have a bit of power and are worth stealing. Same old addage - alarm your Skyline and park it somewhere safe, and they won't steal it. You will notice that basically every single Skyline that has been stolen recently had no alarm. And you can bet they had no club lock either. If I leave mine in a place even a little sus I always use my Clublock. Yes, they will cut through a Clublock soon enough - but not while the alarm is going off with 4 micro peizos in their ears (and I have tested them - they hurt your head a LOT), and even if they got the Clublock off they still have to deal with the alarm and the very well hidden kill switches (how well do you reckon the car will run wihtout a fuel pump?).

    New Gtr

actually if $80k is the price there, then $120k landed here is most realistic after transport, luxury car tax, GST and compliance. My R34 cost me $12k in Japan, yet was $25k landed here and actually on the road. Also, taken from the Prestige Motorsport email: oh and regarding this: no matter what they cost in Japan, $120k is staggeringly cheap - especially when compared to the 1992 price of an R32GTR for $90k. Back in 1992 you could buy 2 (cheap) houses in Adelaide - now you could buy not even 1/2 a house for $120k.

    New Gtr

Well I have seen the spy video of a V36GTR (yes I think you are correct Turbz) absolutely hosing a turbo Porsche around the Nurburgring - so regardless of the weight they are going to be fast. Not sure about the 1,700kg+ thing - you would have thought they would make them lightweight components. I applaud their decision to use a 7 speed tiptronic gearbox - would be even more excited if they used a modified/variable CVT system too - would be very interesting with the grunt of a VQ35DETT (or whatever they end up putting in them). I can't rave enough about my stock R34 tiptronic gearbox - it is unreal (and I save up to 1/2 a second on every gear change compared with a manual). I am sure the GTR semi-auto box will be significantly more high-tech and brilliant to drive. I know manual purists will slay me here - but that is my very firmly-held opinion. I will love my tiptronic box even more once I get Mike from MVs to rebuild it with kevlar goodies, modified high-stall and valve body upgrade in the near future.
  6. yeah I would never leave my R34 parked in any carpark unless it as absolutely unavoidable - you can't trust anyone these days! Sorry to hear mate. FYI my S15 cost $350 to fully repair and respray when I had the same thing done a couple of years ago.

    New Gtr

The word is that the V35GTRs will be available here within 2 years for the very cheap price of around $120k. I will DEFINITELY be grabbing one!!! Find me a quicker car for the money!
  8. sounds like this wasn't such a great buy after-all .... especially when you haven't even had the car 2 weeks and are trying to make a huge profit from selling it ....
  9. did you read my post? lol .... I believe the base one is about $5k cheaper
  10. I didn't realise these were here already (not sure if any are on the road yet). Anyhow, was driving past a Holden dealer in Prospect, and noticed this line of hotties parked out the back, awaiting customer delivery (all are pre-sold and they only come in on a pre-order basis). Thought I'd share the photos, as it is a bit unusual to see so many in one place. I love these things - the only 4 wheel drive I would consider owning - purely on the pimp-appeal! A bargain for $65k on-road for the leather luxury version.
  11. mate I have a near new one (was fitted at compliance and taken off shortly thereafter) for $50
  12. we have a spare seat in the back of the 33R if you are keen for a ride Nick
  13. nah we are driving a convoy of cars and people over Thursday night (*drool* I am going in David's (my brother-in-law) R33GTR) and staying at my sister-in-law's place .... but yes, we have hogged a number of tickets between us
  14. I bought a cheap kit off JustJap for something like $350 and it works awesomely - oil temps stay nice and low. But if you really, really care about your engine I would go a brand name kit. (If my engine blew up I would have to replace it with an RB26 lol).
  15. I take it the 2 door version was no good Nhan?
  16. Yeah sorry we are off to the Grand Final this weekend Luke - otherwise I would come help you for sure. I also have the appropriate size holesaw if you want to borrow it mate. Really isn't a hard job - you just line up by eye where you think the hole should go. In the end the silicone joiners give you tons of latitude to get it wrong and it won't matter as long as you are kinda close. You might have to shave your engine fan if the pipe hits too - use a stanley knife. You WILL need to trim the inside of your front bar - we used an angle grinder (watch out for molten plastic - Duc knows what I am talking about) - but a jigsaw would be easier. Whiplash/Nick - thanks again for helping me do mine! You were tons of help - don't sell yourself short
  17. it really is a beautiful, and VERY quick car for anyone interested in it. It is amazing how these things have dramatically come down in price - unfortunately Pawley took nearly 18 months to sell his - a similar time it took to sell my S15 Best of luck with the sale Mick! It is a real head-turner and in very good nick, so should be easy to sell!
  18. I would help Luke, but am flat out this weekend, and if Port win tomorrow's game, will be in Melbourne all next weekend for the Grand Final. I am probably available the weekend after though. Duc is the expert in these matters and doesn't live too far from you - maybe fire him a PM.
  19. yep I am keen
  20. yep, you know I am up for this.
  21. I am keen to run my 230rwkw R34GTT .... but alas it is no GTR. My brother-in-law would be keen (R33GTR) he has done many track days with Steve Cramp. Also Munro will be interested (400rwkw R33GTR) I will point him to this thread. I still don't understand your 2wd snobbery - I am happy to give Evos a run for their money. I was doing mid 1:25s around Lala in my S15 with 200rwkw and stock suspension - my R34 has more power and all-over Bilstein suspension.
  22. hey Danh, hope things are going well for you in Qld!! Yeah I have used the above place in Richmond and they were good. They do all the Pacemaker stuff and are located in the same building.
  23. sorry to hear about this Darren and Ash .... at least they didn't get anything of value or the cars themselves. How come Darren's alarm didn't go off?
  24. I have always used and loved Sony cameras Karl. The one big thing I always look for is for them to have InfoLithium batteries as opposed to AAs - so I can plug the charging cable straight into the camera without stuffing around with external AA battery chargers. Also, I shy away a bit from the ultra-tiny cameras (like the T Series) since 1. They tend to be fragile if dropped/banged about, and 2. They are easier to lose as they are so thin and tiny. The T series are sexy-as, but I think you are on the right track with the S Series link you have given.
  25. Of course you couldn't buy it from a store for $250 - but from a store you have warranty, service, guarantee etc etc. So how much did you get for it in the end?
