  1. They will just do a VIN check to change over rego - unless your car is blatantly illegal from the outside, they will not defect you .... but either way my knowledge is you don't have to do a full Regency inspection (which is an absolute nightmare).
  2. a group of us burned down Cudlee Creek road where one of the cameras was Saturday after the dyno day .... I hope we didn't get done (we weren't doing silly speeds, but may have approached 100km/h on occassions - which until very recently was the speed limit on that road) .... but we were caught behind minder cars for long periods, so I am hoping we were going slow past the camera!
  3. damn I'll be in Singapore .... have fun anyhow
  4. No. 3 - and I would prefer it to be max 65cm long x 4-5cm high so I can put it sideways up the edge of the front windscreen ..... and I would like an SAU logo one to go above my GT badge on the front guards - it would need to be around 9cm x 9cm max. Thanks for the effort Patrick!
  5. I'm not going to moderate this thread, but be very careful in your language in future tx3_90 - don't go around labelling all black R342 owners thieves etc .... you could have made your point in a much less offensive way .... enough said.
  6. how amazingly hot is that R34GTR?!!!! *drool*
  7. yes, yes I did .... would you care to fix it up so the bottom T is 3D, and it doesn't look as dodgy as I have done? If this thing doesn't get off the ground I will just get some nice vinyl stickers made up with chrome edging and stick them on .... saves the car getting badged down the track too!
  8. I would like one like this (but looking more professional than this pos paintshop I mocked up)
  9. I know I am a butcher when it comes to paint shop pro, but I like this one (someone with skills needs to tidy it up a bit). I am thinking of getting this printed up as a sticker to put on the back of my R34 in place of a GTR badge
  10. there are cheap GTR and Silvia badges around for $20-$30 that are every bit as good as the real thing (I have had them on my S15 for years) .... and that price includes shipping from goodness knows where, profit for the manufacturer, selling costs, then profit for the end seller .... in real terms they must cost well under $10 to make. I realise we are talking about different volumes here, but seriously no-one is going to pay over $100 for one of these!
  11. nah Duc - I had mine HPC coated - didn't help one bit. So I was out of pocket $350 to buy, $220 to HPC, around $400 to fit, then around $400 to refit the old manifold. Needless to say I am EXTREMELY unhappy about it! My tip is get a larger/baffled sump Dean - I picked up a Chinese Trust copy for around $250 from memory, and it dropped my oil temps by 10-15 degrees (with no oil cooler)!
  12. I bought a manifold like this for my S15 and it split within 3 months I noticed no additional power, but the car sounded cooler. Expect around $400 to have a workshop refit the old manifold when it cracks.
  13. yep, I'll organise something soon .... one of my mates is an awesome photographer with all the gear - we'll do a midnight shoot with some awesome backdrops like this : here (click)
  14. or you could buy my S15 for $29k Dean and sell your stocker www.andrewn.da.ru .... 203rwkw and ready for a bigger turbo to make 250rwkw+ easily - all the supporting mods are already done! /free plug
  15. that's why God invented immobilisers and kill switches Steve
  16. yeah I would come too - but will be in Singapore
  17. yep, as long as it looked classy .... embroided logo and username might be best. And we should be able to put the member's car and variety on there too ....
  18. I am seriously thinking about installing 10,000 volt probes inside my door handle for would-be thieves .... to back up my pager alarm, immobilisers and kill switch .... I would love to catch one of these a$$holes in action on my car - it's almost worth sitting it in the TTP carpark one night and a dozen of us sitting in bushes in wait with baseball bats - and make sure we film it so they show it (with blacked out faces) on Today Tonight to show potential car thieves what they are in for when they get caught.
  19. Awesome car mate - so very clean! I am not big on white cars, but for some reason R34s (especially Rs) look great in white! Do you live around here - I am like 200m from the shopping centre. Would love to get some photos of them together! Pity mine was absolutely filthy when you saw it .... but thanks for the compliment anyhow
  20. I would expect say $30 tops .... if you did a run of 30 badges of each, I am sure you would sell them .... I want a GTT badge, not a GTS one (for an R34)
  21. still for sale at $29k .... no-one even coming to look - wtf is going on??? The car does a 12.74 @ 110mph, need I remind you Car was retuned the other week at 203rwkw.
  22. spotted a white R34GTR in the Northgate Shopping Centre carpark this arvo - awesome looking machine! Gave the guy a nod and I think he nodded back.
  23. maybe Joel, but apparently the R34 ECU does all the shifting work and the trans will not functon without it. Abo Bob off these forums tried to change ECU, but couldn't get the trans out of limp mode with the ECU disconnected.
  24. very nice compilation there Steve!
  25. Mine doesn't seem to have too much lag - I hear lots of people complain about it, but it doesn't slow me down through the hills. But yes, the valve body upgrade fixes that entirely, and I am going to have it done soon. I have been kinda thinking I might just wait and do the whole $2,500 valve body + high stall (modify standard stall converter) + kevlar plates upgrade done all at once, rather than bit by bit. However, so far the mods on my car have gone very slowly and I have no real need for it yet. Then I keep thinking sooner or later I wll grab an R34GTR so it might not be worth it anyhow .... but I never know what I'm doing one minute to the next
