  1. nah it's where 'Doors Plus" used to be, ie. the old, old Repco building
  2. I'm heading down to Links Lady Bay (Normanville) to play golf on Monday - will be a nice drive down there and back!
  3. spotted Maxx and Sarah on Grenfell St this arvo ... and his beautiful white R34 nearby
  4. another plug for Everlast Mufflers .... Daryl and the boys do top work - they have looked after all my cars.
  5. I would love a GT T style one - can anyone even do a digital one (like the style of FunkyMonkeys earlier) .... I will print one out and see how it looks on the back of the GTT.
  6. wtf no R34GTT? Unfair
  7. hey mate, are you home, or still up North?
  8. thanks Luke - your 33 was looking pretty schmick too! I only realised it was you last second and managed to get the hand up for a wave
  9. how much did you get for it in the end?
  10. DOH! ... I was going to ask you how it went. And yes, as we have discovered many times it always takes much longer to do than you think - but once we got a template done it would be dead easy to do more. So, is anyone up for this project, or have another one in mind? I might just organise a day in a few weeks time - I'm thinking maybe 14th October? (Week after dyno day). I would prefer to do it before I head to Singapore .... but could wait until I got back.
  11. My latest pet project (apart from my 'leatherette' seats) is to put some 10mm chipboard on the drivers side 'wall' of the boot (behind the lining) in order to mount a fire extinguisher, some spare fuel, spare water and tools. Not a big job, but would require removing the boot skins, measuring up, cutting the chipboard to shape, securing/deadening the chipboard and restoring the boot lining. It is the sort of job we could do to 6-10 Skylines at once if anyone else was interested.
  12. lol .... I am sure that is what the day would turn into anyhow .... maybe pick a 35 degree day, we can start at 9am, mod until 12pm, jump into the spa/drink beer/eat barbie/play darts & pool until 4pm when it cools down a little, then back into some more modding until 7pm, then repeat step 2
  13. nah no worries at all Duc .... in fact you can hold onto it until we next catch up if you want .... or just keep it and I'll buy another one
  14. no worries for the lend of the power tools guys - I wish I didn't already have plans, I would have stayed to help you. Missed Darren too - what a bummer .... I must have left too early. Ah well next time! Yes we should definitely have some mod days - got heaps of room in my garage and a nice bbq out the back and relax area. I am going to get some coilovers or the SK Bilstein group buy stuff like Sam and Ash in the not-too-distant future .... might have to have you guys over for a barbie and suspension changeover
  15. ah no worries mate .... but for that sort of price it will have to be VERY small, or VERY old and shite. Dangerous thing to buy an old spa, as they seriously deteriorate over time in plastic terms, pipng, and health issues with pumps/jets etc. Just be careful is my advice. You get exactly what you pay for.
  16. how much are you looking to spend Brendan? We have a 2 year old kick-ass 4-6 seater spa that we used like crazy but barely use anymore .... cost us $10k new and is still 'as new'. Not sure if we want to sell, but may for the right price
  17. maybe .... I am not sure if he knows about the dyno day date or not. I will definitely let him know.
  18. yeah MattR now owns this car - and it has a ton more power than when Kingsley owned it and did a 10.8 .... I have been in it a few times and let me guarantee you - it is VERY quick!!! It is currently detuned to around 450rwkw, but has nearly hit 600rwkw in a previous tune
  19. looks like a very nice job there, R34 4D!
  20. very nice rear bar there Sean! yeah Vange, the 'new' import place on Main North Road is PVP Imports which moved from Mullers Road - I used to love driving past there a few times a day and checking out all the nice 'lines out the front!
  21. dude .... I qualified my statement by saying 'in the medium to long term', unlike you saying which is a very definitive statement .... NEVER really means NEVER ffs And, if you still don't get it, listen to other forum members (and this guy happens to own a numbers of homes fyi) can you let it go now?
  22. You can't lose (in the medium to long term) with property Ash. Do it. Make sure you find a property where the income covers the mortgage payments (generally the lower value a property, the higher the rate of return) so start small. If you can get the tenant to cover the mortgage, and you throw in $100 per week (make sure you get a flexible loan where you can redraw without penalty if you need to get some cash back out), and you'll pay it off in no time, and the value will keep rising indefinitely. The good news for you is, with the market a bit slow at the moment, there are some bargains to be had if you look around. An ideal place for you to buy would be in the city there are plenty of new or refurbished apartments which rent out for very nice dollars to Uni students.
  23. I have actually left the plastic thingos that adjust the headrest height under the cover - I just made 2 small holes and poked the headrest poles through (adjustment is made by pinching the plastic thingo together through the cover) .... I think that looks better.
  24. Got mine today - very happy with them! (But like someone said - the 'wrinkly' could be waaaay more wrinklier!) Have done the drivers seat at this stage, pics attached
  25. can you guys post some pics of your cars? Before repair and after? Always keen to see pics!
