yeah Darren, as I understand it the dude from City Dismantlers and BJ are old enemies, and he has tried to buy AIR before. So, he got a consortium together and signed purchase docs to buy the place under a consortium name .... but then somehow BJ found out the CD dude was involved and has tried to pulll the pin on the sale. So, the place has been in limbo for a fair while, and will continue to be until the courts sort it out.

forget dealing with North East Nissan (if you are out this way) they are a bunch of tossers. Go Main North Nissan, or even better Unley Nisssan. Either way you will get owned on price! Some things are surprisingly cheap, but most are shockingly expensive.

getting turbos changed is a major labour cost - prepare to be reamed if you get a workshop to do it. If you have an aftermarket turbo, you almost certainly have an aftermarket ECU, which is also illegal and Regency will check. Also check your chassis rails and strut towers for any sort of rust, as the don't like that at all. Sorry to say that the vast majority of imports that go into Regency come out with more defects than they went in with ....

yeah that was me - was having a coffee in Cibo .... yes, I backed into a dam stobie pole the other day pulling out of someone's driveway - the stobie pole was literally on the edge of the driveway in my blind spot. yeah Matt - unfortunately I was skiing in New Zealand, so couldn't make the poker night! We had a small improptu one last night with just Chops, Burgers, Ham and myself - I came 2nd, and only missed out on 1st due to a VERY unlucky draw! Looking forward to playing again with your crowd if you have any spots free in the future! (Sorry I won last itme - might have put them off). Apparently you played quite well at Chop's place the other week! Burgers is just full of shit .... but he was out 2nd last night - I took him out too!

AIR can't give us a definite opening date (even though they originally said July 2006) .... and from what I hear not a single thing has been done yet to the timing system or track - I am not sure where the legal battle over ownership currently stands, but sure as hell BJ won't be spenging any money on the complex until it is all sorted out. It is very poor form for racing in SA - where are we to be expected to test our cars out and get some racing out of our systems?

Matt's GTR has been detuned since then - it was doing some interesting things at that power level, so the boost has been reduced. I think it is running around 500rwkw now - still a lot! Given that it looks like AIR may never reopen, I think John is planning to run the racecar at drag combat in Perth in November. If he does I will definitely go over for it! I took his new BMW545i for a spin last night - OMFG what an unbelievable car!!! *drooooooooooooooool* 245kw V8 in 5 Series luxury!

unfortunately the drag 33 has turbo issues being rectified atm and hasn't yet had the new motor tuned - I have heard it running though

Strange thing is I rather like the Porsche style front end on that FD! I would go the RX7 every time!

I've got a swanky looking set of stock S15 rims for sale .... 2 have brand new Ducaro RevSpec tyres, and the other 2 have 50% good tyres. Will not separate. They are great looking rims, and really I am just asking the price of the tyres. $600
