  1. ah that makes more sense. Nah that is the price down here - plenty of guys pay $10k+ for the whole interior to be done.
  2. Then you bought the mega cheap stuff mate (or we MASSIVELY get shafted here in Adelaide) .... I have been to several reputable places here in SA and for any sort of decent leather retrim for the things you are talking would be almost $10k. I was quoted $6k for just my seats, door inserts and steering wheel, at one place using top quality Italian leather. The guy was talking about 30 hours labour @ $70 per hour for a start - you paid half of that amount with no material, which is the major costs involved. On that front, can anyone buy coloured cows at a decent price? I might grab a large piece of leather if I can find one at the right price, and get seat by seat done, one at a time.
  3. check these out - hardcore! I put up my hand for a go http://alt.coxnewsweb.com/ajc/swf/blueange...angels_lite.swf
  4. Popeye - if you are a trader (which it looks like you are), then you should seek sponsorship for SAU - a small fee for advertising here. Please contact the site admin Prank to organise this. I'll leave the post here for the time being, but please act on this.
  5. awesome to hear you are out and about Drew! Take it easy mate and don't overdo it .... it's hard, as you want to get back to your life, but for the long term slow and steady wins the race.
  6. phew, just checked my diary and I get back from skiing in NZ the weekend before - was worried there for a minute! I am keen to put the R34 in, if you guys feel she is up to spec .... got more mods to do before then too.
  7. nah the shuttle is a micro factor PC which includes case, psu, motherboard, lcd front etc etc for that price.
  8. yeah it is indeed a premium (of sorts) - doesn't have the semi-leather seats, flip-up TV, 8 speed tiptronic, Bose sound system or moonroof like I want. They are going to ask $40k for it on the lot, so the owner said. They aren't much cheaper than that on Prestige or Jspec. There is a blue one for sale in Qld asking $65k - wtf? Not suprisingly has been on the market a very long time and won't sell. People are pretty stupid, but not that stupid! Also, did people see this on Jspec? * major drool* R34GTR VSpec II NUR sold surprisingly quickly! Mmmmm Millenium Jade
  9. Sat in and had a good look at this V35 (VQ35DE) today at PVP Imports - it is the test car for compliance .... * drool * .... sorry for the crap phone camera pics - will try to get back there with my digi and get some better shots. I know a lot of guys on here don't like them, and told me not to buy one, but I still think they are awesome!
  10. ah yeah I was eyeing off that yellow Evo as I turned onto Frome St .... gave me a nice blast as it went past too .... psssshhhhhttttt Love the look, and the idea of Evos, but could never bring myself to buy one. It's still a Lancer in my mind .... lol
  11. yes lol .... he is a bloody nuisance. I have kep a word doc of all his deleted posts for posterity. yeah I did suspend his account for 365 days - well I thought .... not sure what happened. Maybe he is supposed to get a 3rd chance, so will let him be until he disrupts the peace again, then come down on him like a ton of bricks. If he behaves, then everybody wins. I will d/l and have a look at the new Hitman .... sounds good! I have been playing "The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion" for the past 4 hours - boy it is an addictive game!
  12. well, I am now running as a 3200+ (2205Mhz) and seems 100% stable. All I did was bump the fsb up to 200DDR, and upped the CPU voltage to 1.8v. Unfortunately I have no vdd adjustment in the bios, so thought I'd try CPU on its own. Seems to work. Thanks for giving me the courage I was tempted to adjust the AGP voltage but chickened out. Screenie attached of my new pi calcualtions - only knocked 3 seconds off, but better than nothing!
  13. thx for the info mate. The video card I fried I was trying to ramp up the actual GPU speed of the AGP card - it was running 350Mhz, and I was told you could ramp them up to 400Mhz .... turns out they were wrong. I was ready to upgrade to my 6600GT anyhow - that's why I messed with it.
  14. that is one funky looking heatsink Joel! I have an Epox 8RDA+ - yeah I am sure it had voltage adjustments in the bios now I think of it. I have a Thermaltake Silentboost K8 headsink and fan, which keeps my CPU at around 45 degrees even under load! Yeah I might play more with overclocking at some stage- probably when I am closer to upgrading. I had a bad experience with my old FX5600 video card - fried it when bumping the fsb up
  15. yeah, I was quite amazed too ... had to go back and check the download size twice as I didn't believe it ....
  16. yeah unfortunately my machine hangs if I go over 180DDR fsb .... how do you change the chip voltage? I don't want to blow up my PC .... I do have one of the best air/fan coolers around, so heat isn't a problem.
  17. haven't tried to uninstall it .... it is like a theme - you can switch themes if you don't like it.
  18. yep, a new rotating style menu bar, new options and info in explorer windows and other cool things.
  19. nah Steve - I run a skin/theme pack called "Brico Pack Longhorn Inspirat" .... Goolge it, download and install it - it is really brilliant. Basically makes XP look and feel like Vista (to a certain extent) - the only thing missing is the virtual program scrolling, but has many cool features and looks great!
  20. your PCs kick mine's ass .... but mine is nearly 2 years old. Good old XP2500+ 1.9Ghz o/c'd to XP2700+ 2Ghz Going to upgrade to a dual core 3800 AMD with 2Gb ram, 500Gb SATA HDD etc in the next few months. Gotta stop spending money on the R34 first
  21. very nice mate, will have to catch up with you soon Chapman for a look!
  22. damn sorry guys, I have a mate's 30th Birthday bbq lunch Sunday 12pm. I thought that date was familiar. Spewing! Definitely keen next time!
  23. may be keen Sean, even though my car is sitting at 4wd height .... will let you know for sure in the next day or so.
  24. yep I'd pick the A seats Ash - you sit a fair way away from the ground, but you get a better overview of the entire match, rather than see one part of the ground close-up. Also beneficial if it rains - most of the Northern stand you will stay dry, unless the rain is belting in from the South (which is unusual).
