  1. Most of you who know me know that I don't mind the ladies (and motor sports in general - I even got some pics of cars!) Here are some pics of my usual standard from the 500. Enjoy! Click here
  2. hey Leo, long time no see mate. Have you bought a new car? Just noticed a 275rwkw reference in your sig.
  3. huge waste of time, as most Skyline owners are fly-by-nighters - with a turnover of cars and owners within every 2 year period. This makes it almost impossible to keep a club running. There are tons of mobs you can go out with and do track days, motorkhanas etc, which few people seem to take advantage of already.
  4. yep, as Joel said, you have to cut it - but not to pieces. You really need to 'shave' some off the inside of the bar to refit it. Not a dramatically hard job to do, but a pain nonetheless (and you get molten globs of plastic on you if you use an angle grinder - OUCH!)
  5. The S15 is sold subject to finance. Should hear in the next day or 2 and hopefully get a cheque
  6. yeah I know where you are coming from Darren, but I still would rather have a Skyline than a 350Z - it's all about the heritage - I still prefer the V35 in real life - no pics I have seen do it justice. They are amazing in the flesh! You must admit, the pics below are very hot!
  7. yep it belongs (or belonged) to an Asian guy who worked at Z-Imports - last I heard he was trying to sell it. IceDuck bought his old R34GTT wheels for me to borrow for my R34 for compliance, nice guy that he is - oh and if you read this Duc (either Duc), I still have the centre caps here in my garage - forgot to give them back to you.
  8. yep Secret is gold, and no it's not Mark's car. It has a big bodykit and cf bonnet. Looks very tough and sounds it too.
  9. yep I give another vote for the Walbro - does the same job as my old Bosch 040, but I can't hear it at all (unlike the Bosch which buzzed constantly). Some tuners bag the Walbro as not high enough flow, but I haven't found that to be the case at all.
  10. wtf - more affordable???? A normal leather seat retrim is $4k-$10k .... I think these things are an absolute bargain at $400. If he would just do some fronts for me for a bit cheap I'd take them in a snap.
  11. nah it only sits in the little raised part at the back of the boot - the boot height would be roughly 50-55cm in the main part, at a guess
  12. I am running 8" front and 9" rear 17" wheels and get minimal front scraping with about 1cm more left to raise on the fronts. In all honesty unless you like really hard suspension, I would sell them and get R34GTT specific ones (as the R33GTR ones are made for a 200kg heavier car, as someone mentioned).
  13. nah the time I set was just after the drivers parade 1:15pm. No-one rocked up .... but was ok - saw the bikini parade again and had some photos with hot chickys Yeah the Camaro was getting the rear end out awesomely!
  14. I bought some off a group buy on NS.com about a year back for $280. They are 6,500k and are superb. I had them in my S15 and now have them in my R34. If you have one ounce of tech knowledge and electrical sense install them yourself - easy job. The standard S15 lights absolutely suck ass - you won't even know the car with HIDs installed - makes it a joy to drive at night. I believe the ones I have are cheap Chinese units, but have been flawless for around a year now. I think with these cheaper units (like I have), when you blow a globe you throw the whole kit away, as replacements would be very exxy and near impossible to find (not too sure though). But HID globes are supposed to last 5x times longer than normal globes anyhow. Keep in mind HIDs are illegal unless you have self-levelling and washing capabilities, but I don't and have never had a problem. DO IT, highly recommended!
  15. sorry mate, my S15 is provisionally sold and not at my home at the moment, so the best I could do was measure the sub box that was custom made for my car by Car Toys. It is made to fit right up out of the way above the fuel tank shelf in the boot. The diagram attached (crudely drawn) shows the size. The big flat face with the sub goes against the back seat (which angles, obviously). As for boot space the car is quite generous, but you won't fit too much else in if you have a decent size box, which is why I had this custom box made up. Let me know if you're keen to buy it, as I'll let it go for the right price S15_sub_box.pdf
  16. yep I agree. I have put R33GTR coilovers in my R34 and the rears are all the way wound down and it still isn't as low as I want, and the fronts are wound all the way up and are still not legal height (but are close). Big problem is that as the fronts are wound all the way up, the spring is so compressed and the ride is hard as hell!
  17. nah not really Darren, but if I was offered the right money I would! I found out about V35s being available the week after paying for the R34 - I still want one!
  18. nah sorry mate - we were too buggered (and sun-soaked) to hang around after the V8s race. Was god to catch up today - my photos of the 'bikini fashion parade' came ot pretty well too Is anyone else going to actually rock up tomorrow to say hi? I am making the meet spot right at the 'Highway 500' sign in the fashion stage area - near the sail shade thing. Hope to see some there.
  19. yep I still have it, and yes it looks similar to the S15 one. But, best bet would be to get a pic of the standard S15 cooler to compare. I can't remember what my stock S15 cooler looked like.
  20. no idea, they are just H1 as far as I know. They worked perfect in my S15 (which is a projector setup), but the internal reflector setup of the R34 emits too much light. I have angled them right down and they seem like they will be ok.
  21. I was in the BP on Gorge Rd on Tuesday when a burgundy R33 gunned it from a standstill, wheels spinning, then did a huge 2nd gearie and tore off up Gorge Rd. There were 2 cops in an undercover car in the servo who discussed chasing you for about 10 seconds, but luckily couldn't be bothered.
  22. yep, I have the Just Jap Hybrid copy kit on my R34. Bloody good value for $499, and basically the cheapest price around. Only have a go at fitting it yourself if you are very handy with tools and some metal fabrication (like Duc ). I would hate to think what a workshop would have to charge to fit it though - took Duc and I around 10 hours to do mine
  23. sorry mate, you will not find an R34GTT coupe in that price range in SA. In fact they are few and far between (near that price) even if you import one yourself off J-Spec or Prestige etc. (which takes 2-6 months and is an absolute pain in the backside). Go have a look at the prices for yourself. Ring Trevor from Four Brother Imports - he has some R34GTTs coming in soon - not sure what price they will be, but more than you want to spend methinks. There is also a black R34GTT coupe at Redline Motorsports on North East Rd (haven't seen it up close) - not sure what price, but they tend to be expensive there. Did you read my post about my R34 possibly for sale? (at the right price)
  24. lol @ Leo No is the answer to the question posed in this thread. In order to form a club you have to do things like have AGMs, run books and accounting etc, charge for cruises, pay indemnity insurance, form committees etc etc. Part of the nature of SAU as it exists is that anyone can have a go, and there is no real heirarchy and all that crap. It is my belief these things detract from the fun. Things tend to run just fine around here without things being too formal. Once you formalise into a club, you have to exist as and within the boundaries of said club. It is a HUGE undertaking, and we all kow that cars come and go - as do people. I think it would be way more trouble than it's worth. Who here has the time/inclination to attend meetings, be Treasurer, President etc? If you want a formal club go join PSI, GSR-Evo, SVD etc etc. My 2c
  25. I know of a nice black 4 door R34 that might be for sale for a bit over $30,000 if you're interested - tiptronic auto with steering wheel controls (don't knock it until you try it - it is brilliant) - FMIC - HID headlights - segregated front/dump pipe - high flow cat - Apexi exhaust control valve - HKS SilentPower 3.5" Stainless exhaust - 17" deep dish wheels - cruise control - custom gauges - Apexi intake pod in CAI box - radiator hood - tint - HKS Hiper-D fully adjustable coilovers - spoiler - MP3 stereo etc etc. And yes, before anyone asks - everything is for sale for the right price
