VERY nice 34 you have there. I take it it is non-turbo? Otherwise, how did you go for insurance? Sweet ride!
-
sorry mate, didn't see you. Traffic was bloody crazy along there tonight - I was ducking and weaving everywhere to avoid d!ckheads!
-
there is also one for sale at Synergy Motorsport Greenacres with gold Te37s (may be the one Duc spotted). yeah I always thought yours was verging on black Mick - interesting colour for sure!
-
haha true mate - but if I were buying his and hers, mine would be a real black R34GTR, and she could have my GTT
-
saw it in town Friday night .... damn it looks really nice - but shame it has GTR badges on it - nothing worse. Looks sweet, but the price is out there ....
-
yep, I've got an ECV and it is bloody awesome ... costs a damn sight more than $180 though - plus $120 for weld-in fit with my high flow cat. I think I paid $380 for mine - but still worth the money if it avoids Regency just once.
-
I highly recommend FBI - they are good guys and have very good prices. I'm sure they would hire you some.

I have downloaded and watched : Lost up to Series 2, ep. 14 Prison Break up to ep. 13 Desperate Housewvies (wife got me into it - also visited the set in LA) up to Series 2, ep. 15 The OC is ok - is cool having been there - the show is so real you wouldn't believe Simpsons Futurama Family Guy Red Dwarf Seinfeld etc etc
-
ooh Darren - tell him if he can't get the $$ he wants, I'll buy his bonnet and front bar off him / trade him mine + $$$ ... I know it's a long shot, but you never know. I have Nismo smoked front indicators in it and all
-
great shots mate .... absolutely love the one of my 34
-
As far is I can see, and the info given to me by Abo Bob etc, there's nothing to it Bendan. If you want to have a 'fitting bee' in my garage one weekend, give me a yell. Probably easier with 2 guys?!

R34 Aftermarket Hid Problem
Nightcrawler replied to Nightcrawler's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
well, the cheapest decent reupholsterer here in Adelaide quoted me $5,000 to $6,000 for leather seats in my 34. So, for $600 I don't think you can go wrong (there is no way in hell I am paying $5k+ just for leather seats). Even if you have to pay $200 to re-do the drivers seat every few years, it is a a bargain. Yes, the quality doesn't look fantastic, but looks good enough for $600 for full car, I reckon. The fact that he welcomes inspection at his factory is reassuring - it can't be complete shite. So the options are try this, or go without. FYI the guy told me $400 for just the fronts. Not much to punt really - given the possible upside. I absolutely love leather seats! The fact that the covers are vinly-backed means nothing to me - I have sat in tons of full leather, and vinly-backed lounge suites, and can't tell the difference. -
yeah I was going to ring you Sean .... they only came off the car on Saturday Sing out if/when you want them back ....

R34 Aftermarket Hid Problem
Nightcrawler replied to Nightcrawler's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
thanks for your help mate .... but like I said I have adjusted them to shine on a wall at even a lower height than the wife's Accord Euro, and you can see the clear definition of the lights on the road, but are still amazingly bright to look at, even though the beam is directed low. While I have your attention, where did you mount the temp sensor probe on your trans? Also, have you (or anyone with an R34) ever wanted leather seat covers? There is a guy from Melb who does cheap (but reasonable quality) leather seat covers, and needs an R34 to make a template from. I really want to get covers from him, but don't want to strip my covers off and send to Melb for him to make a template (due to postage time etc issues). Anyone want to be the guinea pig to make a template from? I'd prefer a 4 door of course, but even the front seats of a 2 door would do at this stage. Do you ever go to Melb Bob? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LEATHER-SEAT-R32-R3...1QQcmdZViewItem -
So, how do you fill the oil up again? I take it there is a dipstick to check the level? If you pull the top hose off and run the motor to empty the trans, wouldn't the cooler itself still be full of oil (and it would subsequently go everywhere)? Sorry for all the questions. Andrew

Hi, has anyone got some old 17" tyres laying around they can lend me/Duc for him to get through Regency? Got 2 rims without tyres ....

Has anyone fitted an aftermarket HID kit to an R34? I have, and they work brilliantly - in fact way too brilliantly. People everywhere flash their lights at me as they think I have my high beams on. I have adjusted them right down toward the road, but it makes no difference. I can see the limits of the light pattern on the road about 20m in front of the car, but when you look from a distance the headlights are still very bright. I am wondering if you need to remove the little inverted mushroom type reflector inside the headlight? fyi I have 6,000k kit, and non-Xenon headlights. Anyone else have this problem?

Augment Gas Bonnet Dampers For Your Skyline
Nightcrawler replied to DCD's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
If they suit R34GTT I am interested - depending on price, of course. -
yep, put me down for one.

so I take it you have to drain the trans fluid before removing the stock cooler? So, a few noob questions: 1. do you have to jack the car up to get all the fluid out of the trans? I take it there is a sump plug/screw at the bottom of the trans? (have never touched the trans before). 2. how do you stop oil going everwhere when you disconnect the cooler? (or is it all gone one you drain the trans - I am hoping not to have to do this). 3. how do you get air bubbles out of the system? 4. how much oil exactly does the system now hold with DC cooler? Thanks, Andrew

if you want to buy a stock 2 door exhaust and stock suspension, this guy has been trying to sell them for ages. He quoted me around $150 for shipping to Adelaide. I suggest he would take $300 and you pay for shipping. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...0entry1967476

yep, dance fan right here. SKitzmix CDs are the bomb. Just got MOS Clubbers Guide to 2006 mixed by goodwill & axwell from the wife for anniversary present. Great CD.

Bad luck mate - like I said yesterday, your stock R34 wheels are in my garage ready to be picked up Duc. I also have the stock R34 air box sitting around if you need it, but secure pod filter should be fine. I am sure Sean (MXTCY) would be fine with me lending you his springs. I think FBImports might have a stock R34 2 door exhaust somewhere. Otherwise try mad34 (I think) - I think his is off the car and in his shed? Otherwise see if Rory Thompson has one to hire for fitting compliance cars.

ah sweet, thanks Andrew - I couldn't remember who it was taking photos there. I hope you got a pic with my HIDs on .... very clean GTR you have there by the way! Yep, absolutely awesome day and glad to hear everybody behaved and kept out of trouble. It's funny, but you NEVER hear of a ns.com or other cruise where at least one person doesn't get a speeding fine, defect or have an accident. Not really bagging them, but rather pointing out it's good that we can be a mature group and keep it legal/safe. Thanks for the awesome route home Darren (and bringing my secondary bonnet latch) - the Myponga dam crossing was a huge highlight - I never know that road existed! Good organisation etc HR32 and Madaz .... maps would have been better - would have saved many getting lost (sometimes more than once). Ah well, live and learn. A trial cruise is always a very good idea too. So is everyone keen for another cruise down that direction, and we'll toss in go-karting, paintballing or jet-skiing? (We'll put it up to a vote). I am thinking Sun March 19th at this stage (a week before the Clipsal 500).

very nice shots there Erin! I especially like the ones of my 34 Can the guy who was taking pics as we left the Victor High School carpark email me or post the one he got of me? Thanks.
