  1. yep - but it is hella funny when they speed past you and they get done for speeding - have seen that before. Oh, and I don't think Chops would take offense - given he more power than the vast majority on these forums (including me of course)
  2. so $130 if I pick it up? Consider it sold!
  3. brand new in box, unopened. Sagem myC4-2 - colour screen, camera, headset etc etc Identical to this - and comes with a $25 Telstra prepaid sim. http://www.fonezone.com.au/default.asp?p=20411&cordID=119 unwanted prize $100
  4. nah vange - these are the exact OPPOSITE of cruises that SAU people (in general) want to be involved in. The more people you have, the less control you have. The more P plater bogans rocking up, the more attention you get from the cops, and the more we become 'known' to them and make ourselves targets. Far better to keep it small groups by invitation/PM only - that way you avoid the nasty image associated with cruises ie. accidents, defect stops, pubilc nuisance etc etc - indeed if you like those things head on out on an IMFS, nissansilvia or PSI cruise (said tongue-in-cheek for any members of said groups who are offended by this comment). - I have been on a number of these type of cruises and whilst kind of fun (if you count being stuck behind some f**kwit in an old laser {that he thinks is heaps quick but is slow as shite} or similar through the hills as fun) they are not that great. Pretty much every one I have been on there is a major accident or defect blitz. I got stuck in the Newton shopping centre for over 2 hours last ns.com cruise I went on - some dickhead in a PT Cruiser that thinks he has the best stereo in the world cranked it right up at minight and attracted every cop in a 5km radius - so they blocked off the carpark entry/exits and proceeded to (or attempt to) defect pretty much every car in the carpark.
  5. technically it is illegal to resell tickets Erin, but it is the way of the world. Supply and demand. There were plenty of tickets for sale, but people took their time and missed out. So those that bought excess tickets for friends, but then whose friends turn around and don't want tickets anymore, can sell their tickets to others. It is an open marketplace - I am sure if you had some spare tickets you would let them go for whatever someone was willing to pay. Happens all the time, and whilst I guess it is technically illegal, so is recording movies off tv and speeding etc. I was offered $300 for my Foo Fighters ticket, but there was no way I was going to miss that show - I heard of pairs of Foo Fighters tickets being sold on Ebay for around $750. Better to pay someone a ridiculous amount of money for a ticket rather than not go at all I guess - if you love a band that much!
  6. chuck them on Ebay in the weeks leading up to the concert Matty - you will get tons more cash than that. I sold some for "Live!" when they were here earlier this year and got $450 for a pair - and they sure as hell aren't U2!!
  7. yeah mine had been under salt attack too - they arrived in similar shape to yours on the car from Japan. I got it done at mates rates from a mate who works at the ROH factory, so cost for me was very minimal. But I was quoted $100 to strip back to bare metal, then you'd have the cost of them being machined/puttied, sanded and repainted - I would imagine retail from a wheel place would be $300-$400 all up. The guy who did mine for me told I got it done just in the nick of time, as the wheels were absolutely full of rust and would have lasted about 1 year before starting to disintegrate. They x-rayed them to find this out, so it would be worth your while to do something soon. They put some special anti-rust paint on them (can't remember its name) to seal them, before they painted them. They did not do a top coat of paint on the insides due to the severity of the damage, so he told me I need to fish oil the insides yearly to protect them, and all will be fine.
  8. thanks Joel - she should be on the road mid-January. Have had the rims stripped back to bare metal and resprayed metallic silver, so they look even better now.
  9. sweet wheels! Same as I have on my R34
  10. we left around 10pm I think .... ah well, next time
  11. vange, just get a cross-bar and hammer the closest size to the lock nut over it. It will come off in 2 seocnds flat. Or take the car to a McLeods or whatever and get them to do it - they do it all the time.
  12. yeah I'm sure he is in no hurry to get the cash off you mate. How's the weather in sunny Olympic Dam? Boiling at the moment, I bet! Fyi Chops was out fairly early in the tournament tonight, a mate of his Ryan was out in about 40th place, I was out in about 28th place, and Burgers (another of Chops' mates) made it to about 18th place. Not too bad out of 70 players. Had a ball!
  13. don't you mean her pink bits? lol
  14. can you get me a postage/courier quote for the lot to Northgate, SA, 5085? Thanks
  15. ok, price drop to $33,000 and have removed a couple of small items. This is getting ridiculous! Had a sale fall through (due to the potential purchaser never had comp. insurance before, so no-one would touch him in a modified car).
  16. check the 'trader section - for sale' forums on www.nissansilvia.com - they always have decent group buys etc happening.
  17. It depends which a$$hole you get at Regency as to whether you pass or not. Take your dad with you when you go, and see if they go easier on you. It is pure pot luck, and the rules change depending on whom you ask. Good luck!
  18. yeah sorry to do it while you're away Batty - I am sure we will organise another night when u r in town. Cool, Ronan is pumped about seing U2 in action.
  19. my single plate heavy duty 1,050gk Exedy single plate organic cost well over $1,000 installed by Adelaide Clutch. $550 is unrealistically cheap. Sounds like you got a 2nd hand stock clutch at best - especially if it let go so quickly.
  20. nah mate you get me wrong .... I haven't been on one of these cruises - I was just pointing out that they are frequented by many young people who haven't had their licences for long, and as such are significantly more likely to have an accident, than if they didn't gather in large testoterone-fuelled groups. If they crash into you, don't expect them to have any money or insurance. I am told by others who frequent such cruises about the accidents. Just my opinion, it's a free world to do what you wish ....
  21. ah cool, no probs. I thought I remembered Damin saying it was factory, but I must be mistaken. Kick-ass colour either way!!!
  22. sorry guys, I have (provisionally pending final finance) sold my S15 tonight, and the R34 isn't quite on the road yet. Have fun and we'll catch up in Jan for a mega Victor Harbor cruise.
  23. good to hear you are joining the fold Chapman sky30 - I think Damians (= user Cell on SAU) R34 is originally midnight purple from the factory - very rare GTT colour, but it is a factory colour I believe. I assume this is the one your mate bought, as I haven't seen another in SA.
  24. yep, as long as you don't have a decent car .... I don't fancy cruising with 100+ P-platers in Mum's pulsar or Dad's Commo, who think they can drive. From memory there has never been a cruise like this that hasn't had some form of accident, correct me if I'm wrong.
  25. A couple of us guys are heading to the Casino next Wednesday night 14th Dec for Chops' Birthday bash and the weekly poker tournament. Anyone interested in coming? Here's the rough deal - for more info Click Here Basically you have to register (and pay I think) by next Monday/Tuesday (else it gets booked out), and it goes from 7pm till around 11pm Wednesday night. Basically it is about 60 people (or so I am led to believe), and if you finish in the top 10 you get your $75 back, and the prizes increase the higher you place. From memory the winner gets a bit over $1,000, and a $455 buy-in for 1st and 2nd place to a giant tournament in February. Who's up for some no-limit Texas Hold'Em?? Worst case scenario is a couple of hours (if you're careful with your money) entertainment for $75. I believe you get 2,000 chips to bet with in the tournament, and they consolidate tables when people get knocked out. Most fun you can have with your clothes on, I reckon
