  1. I think Trev from FBI's R34GTR is bayside blue also. I test drove a red R34GTT at Valley View 3 years ago (before I bought PCOTY) and it was an absolute bucket of crap. Had been smashed several times and felt like a car that had done 200,000km - not 50,000km as claimed. I saw a white 4 door R34GTT on North East Rd near my place a couple of weeks ago, with an older guy driving it. Had trader plates on it.
  2. mate, if you don't want your car to be defected, steer at least 1km clear of the Bay, Rundle St and Hindley St on any Friday or Saturday night. You are just begging the cops to ream your ass, and it will happen.
  3. spotted a midnight purple R34GTR this arvo with Synergy Motorsport and trader plates on it - looked like it had gold TE37s on it too *drool*
  4. That is an extremely cheap price, and there is no way the owner will sell for that low, I am sure. It is a genuine Aus delivered vehicle, and worth upwards of $40k I would think. Remember, these were well over $100k new, and are still in very high demand. The vast majority of $20k 15 year old rule R32GTRs coming out of Japan are race-thrashed pieces of junk with doctored odos and slapped together with bits off wrecked cars.
  5. nice time there Sam - that's about the 1/4 mile (and mph) I hope to get in the R34 when it is done.
  6. came across this: R32GTR for sale very rare car indeed!
  7. I have a video on my PC somewhere of a turbo Hayabusa video .... absolutely insane speeds and acceleration. I think they were quoting 8 second 1/4 miles.
  8. The track day was great - awesome to see Keir's 'street' (= old 9 second race car) R32GTR out there .... and Danh's new R32GTR, which is pumping out some serious power. Pity about some mechanical problems, but you get that. Was nice to see the Lambo Gallardo and other cars at the Willall stable also! Sorry we didn't head out to the drags Sam, Duc and Deluxe - went to the Casino to play some Texas Hold'Em Poker instead! Thanks for the SMS anyhow!
  9. I think you guys MASSIVELY underestimate car thieves. They already know where we all live (as it's not at all hard in a smal town like Adelaide to find out owners names etc), and before raiding or stealing one of our cars, they case it all out to the nth degree. If you think otherwise, you are kidding yourself. People posting on here 'I saw this car on Greenhill Rd' isn't really going to cause cars thieves to 'lick their lips' now, is it?
  10. cool Matt, my mate decided he couldn't afford BDO, U2 and Jamiroquai tickets, so he pulled the plug on me for Jamiroquai. I might come with you guys if that is ok?
  11. sure Guy, no probs. Drop them off anytime once you get them.
  12. hehe .... I have video out the back window of that car during the smoke incident I am not sure how things will pan out Danh - I might give you a ring Saturday morning or will let you know tomorrow. I am not DEFINITELY coming, but am quite likely at this stage. I am almost definite for the drags Saturday night though. I would love to cruise out to Lala in your new beast though, will let you know!!!!!
  13. not yet Sean - in at Best being complied as we speak. Hope to have it back in the next week or so. I want to catch up with you actually to check out your new springs to see if I want to head in the same direction. I'll give you a ring on the weekend perhaps. Are you interested in going to out Mallala or AIR to watch the practice day or street meet? Maybe we can catch up then?
  14. yep, I will be organising a large mid-January cruise to Victor and we will definitely have all models represented. Keep your eyes on the forums. Was going to try to do it before Xmas, but too many people have things on (myself included), so will make it mid-Jan instead. Will go-kart, jet ski or paintball while we're at it.
  15. I am up to come out to Lala and AIR after to watch if anyone wants to take me
  16. Hi, some of you might remember/have missed out on the group buy I did some time back on these awesome laser etched bar signs. I have these ones left that I don't have room for on my rumpus room walls. 1 x Guiness Sign with white light $60 1 x Duff Beer Sign with red light --- SOLD to Ronin --- 1 x Coca-Cola Sign with red light $60 2 x Ottawa Senators Signs with blue lights $30 each (these were sent by mistake, but even if you don't follow the NHL, they look pretty cool - or you can buy one of these and one other above, and swap the colour globes) They come with chrome look chains to hang them from a hook (if you wish). Be quick! First in, first serve.
  17. here are some pics of your Cima - I have some burnout footage too. I will post up more pics and some video tonight.
  18. sorry, forgot to mention - the fuel pump certainly DOES prime!
  19. the immobiliser is factory .... all S15/200SXs have them, and it automatically activates when you remove the key, and automatically disarms when you put the key back in (the key has a small chip in it, which must be matched to the immobiliser when in the ignition). Hill starting won't work, as there is no fuel being supplied to the cylinders. Thanks for your ideas though guys - keep them coming if you think of anything. I am actually wondering whether the immobiliser has a relay somewhere, and that has failed?
  20. Had a great day - I will post some photos and videos when I get them sorted and compressed. Nice to see 9krpm's new R32GTR in action - on the track within a week of owning it - NICE! Loved the 8,500prm launch too - got great video of it!
  21. I believe John's old R34GTR came from Dubai .... and those photos of the red R34GTR - 4,000km my ass - it had a big single aftermarket turbo on it .... you don't do that to a brand new car - surely???!!!! Oh, and Hi Greg, hope your Middle East trip is going well!
  22. yes, I went for a ride in Keir's new Lamborghini Gallardo the other week, and I can attest it is AMAZINGLY quick. Any bike that can beat a Gallardo has my full respect!!!
  23. When the weather is warmer your fuel is warmer. When the fuel is warm it expands. When the fuel is warm/expanded the pump has to work harder to pump the same volume of fuel, compared to a cold day when the fuel is more dense. The pump working harder is the noise you hear. When I had my 040, on any day when my car had been out in the sun for a while and the temp was over 30 degrees, the buzzing noise was horrible.
  24. yeah I was using it with the ignition on - it saw the ECU fine. I have had an auto techinician out and he ran his fancy consult machine, and it also says no fault codes. We have diagnosed it down to being the factory immobiliser. When the car is off, the immobiliser light on the dash flashes like it should. However, when you turn the ignition to the 'on' position, the immobiliser light turns on hard red, and the engine won't fire (which is typical of an immobiliser). Both the auto tech and Nissan haven't heard of this before - so I will have to get the car towed to Nissan for them to problem solve it
  25. cops ass they can't defect it. They can defect a car whenever and wherever they see fit. We have no rights whatsoever in that regard. Despite people's ideas, they can defect your car whether you are with it or not, and can defect is whether it is registered or not - even if it's on your own (or someone else's) property.
