  1. If you are only dropping around an inch then the general rule is you don't need a camber kit. You may see a TAD mote wear on the inner edges of your tyres, but that is about it.
  2. Where are you located mate?
  3. I am assuming you have a V36? If so, then you can't use 350Z springs I am pretty sure - they are the same as the V35 springs - not V36. But, I am not sure if the 'swap springs trick' works the same with the 370Z or not - I assume it would.
  4. A heap of us heading down to the Mt Alma Mile this Saturday. Anyone keen to cruise down together I propose we meet at somewhere like Castle Plaza 9am? Thoughts? SAU guys running include: Josh Boag Andrew Migas Jenkies (assuming his car is 100% together) A few other Skyline guys will be there including: Luke Bosman Hayden Buckingham And a ton of other Skylines (including quite a few R35GTRs I believe). And of course the Willall lads will have their R35GTR WR1000 and the WR86 there too. Should be an awesome day!
  5. Contact the RAWS approved workshop that complied your car - their name will be on the pink compliance plate fitted to your car.
  6. I have a big roll of carbon wrap in my shed that you can have some of for cheap. It is the cheaper variety that requires a fair bit of effort/stuffing around to wrap, but the price is right
  7. Imagine a car having the power like yours does now (but with a decent engine like the VQ37) with a little blower on it making an easy 280rwkw, plus a 50kw electric motor on each rear wheel = 380rwkw. Fun.
  8. Yeah not too sure if it an April fools or not - I hope not. Given the whispering I have heard in the last year about a new Silva and the possibility of it being hybrid, I am assuming the article is legit. Still, you never know on a day like today
  9. Found this .... my wallet is starting to hurt in anticipation already http://motoring.ninemsn.com.au/cars/news/8634045/sub-zed-silvia-confirmed-for-tokyo
  10. Don't muck around with the rest, go to Willall Racing - best dyno (for REAL figure, not fluffed up figures provided by many other workshops) and they can have a quick look over the car to make sure you are getting what you are paying for, and that you are not buying a hand-grenade.
  11. Prefer straight panels, prefer in silver or white (but other colours may be considered). Negotiable on level of inclusions and spec. PM me on here.
  12. I spoke with David this arvo - looks like a reshell needed - so we are on the lookout for an R33GTR rolling shell. Ripples under the passenger floor, engine/gearbox mounts damaged .... looks moderately major. Sure it will be fixable, but it is a matter of figuring out whether it is more economical to re-shell it or fix it. Plus David is a bit of a perfectionist, so I am sure he would not be happy with fixing the old car if a new one can be had for a reasonable price.
  13. Yeah it's his daily, sadly. And it was MINT.
  14. Definitely keen - I have a shed full of gear I would like to part with.
  15. Hey I definitely don't want to kill Chris's sale, but that is the harsh reality of modified cars. But you also have to consider that for $6,500 you are only paying for the engine and associated gear, gearbox and mods - it is a bargain.
  16. Yeah sadly it was looking the best it has ever looked - I had never seen it so clean and it had never run the Enkei rims on it before either (as the inner plastic guards needed to be modified so they didn't rub).
  17. No, $2.5k as you would almost NEVER get it off defect here in SA (Regency Park here are absolute assholes - it would cost you more than $2.5k to stock it out to get it off defect and refit the mods - gearbox change, turbo/manifold change, original fuel pump back in, original ECU back in, Viper alarm out, turbo timer out, boost controller out, coilovers back to stock, oil cooler out, etc etc - they pick on EVERYTHING - in fact you would most liekyl come out of Regency Park with a significantly bigger list than when you went in (common)) - and it would be a HUGE headache to get it off defect in another state with SA rego.
  18. Yeah he hit some oil and fishtailed it into the wall They are on their way home now - car is not a write-off (we assume), but there is a substantial amount of damage
  19. FYI my brother-in-law David (Red back on SAU) is running his R33GTR (with R34GTR Nur engine in it) at the Bathurst Motorsport Festival this weekend. FB group below if anyone want to check out pics/join. https://www.facebook.com/groups/586460034705368/
  20. I have seen them sell between $400 and $1,000 (which I got for mine, as a local audio shop had a car in with a broken one and were desperate for one on the day - mine had been recently internally refurbished though too). To buy a dual din your best bet us USA Ebay - search "G35 double din"
  21. A deal is a deal Ross - whether verbal or written, whether deposit taken or not. Legally Vu is 100% in the right - go read up on contract law. Very bad form. And I am leaving all this here for the world to see - you reporting it asking the comments to be deleted is bs. As stated, a man is only as good as their word - and it would seem yours is not good.
  22. I bought a cf one from the USA and it fits fine. Haven't heard of any differences.
  23. yep, you will find almost every part for the v35 listed under 'g35' on USA Ebay, and you can bet the price including ridiculous international delivery will still be 25%-75% cheaper than you can buy the part locally (if you can find any).
  24. And if I could do what I wanted with an R35GTR for an hour it would cost you a lot more than $550 in tyres and brakes
  25. ^^^ They are a used car dealer .... which means they would sell their Grandmother or cheat her out of 50c if they stood to make a buck .... you should see what sort of cars they buy out of Jp and what they do to them to pretty them up, before selling them for top dollar to chumps here ....
