^^^ Hi Matt, I don't want to be a dick about this, and we all appreciate the info, but you are treading an extremely fine line regarding paid advertising. SAU demand that ALL businesses wishing to promote their products in any way become site sponsors. If you wish to make further posts (regardless of how informative they are) you REALLY, REALLY need to consider supporting SAU. Even your signature is in effect a banner ad, and is technically against forum policy for non-paid businesses on here .... Check out the info thread below: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/

Gtr 32 And V35 Skyline Parts
Nightcrawler replied to a topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
If you are sick of receiving enquiries on parts, then why the hell haven't you posted 'items sold' or something to that effect in each of your for sale threads? -
This thing sounds INSANE - 2j lovin' in a 180SX ....

03-07 Gauge Upgrade
Nightcrawler replied to runner4life's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
That is not the 'premium model', but looks to be a variety of V36 cluster. It is the wrong shape for a V35 for a start. -
Welcome to the forums Ben - check this stickied thread for the recommended workshops: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/123887-workshop-autoparts-listing/ My preference would be Shaun at Bootworx, but if you want go somewhere South your best bets would be Horsepowerinabox, Southern Hi-tech or Graham West.

^^^ apart from that, it was 100% NOT your fault, so it doesn't matter what the heck you were doing.
-
^^ yeah true that .... Also, the speed that Keir does/did in the Willall R35GTR around there is more amazing - as that thing is a BOAT - yet it gets the power down so effortlessly and amazingly. Hopefully WR1000 will do even better and win the event this year!

^^^ yeah a Falcodore with a decent turbo may be quicker in a straight line, but let's see the same Falcodore do THAT!
-
^^^ it might come from the board behind the stereo, not necessarily the ECU, as a lot of the CAN bus stuff terminates there and runs off. I would extremely surprised if the wiring is not there. Have you pulled off the cruise control spot cover on your steering wheel to see if there is a plug/loom under there?

V35 Tyre Question, My Speedo Is Out
Nightcrawler replied to Murry33's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
18" x 10" +12 with 275s :) and they fit under the guards easily with only a few degrees of camber. -
V35 Tyre Question, My Speedo Is Out
Nightcrawler replied to Murry33's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Yeah, but it is illegal to modify pretty much anything on a car technically ..... obviously the rim track is the big one where basically any set of rims with any sort of reasonable offset is completely illegal by the letter of the law. In SA you are allowed to increase your wheel track by like 26mm per axle legally, where my rear is 86mm wider than stock Wheels The wheel track must not be increased by more than 26 mm beyond the maximum specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Maximum allowable track measurements for individual vehicle models can be obtained from the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure. Tyres The overall diameter of a wheel and tyre fitted to a vehicle must not be more than 15 mm greater than the largest tyre size listed on the tyre placard and not more than 15 mm less than the smallest tyre size listed on the placard. -
V35 Tyre Question, My Speedo Is Out
Nightcrawler replied to Murry33's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Were you at the BSM cruise Murry? What colour is your new V35? I saw a heap of silver ones (and Triggs on SAU cruised with me) but couldn't find the owners of any of them (not surprising given there were over 1,000 cars!) -

Using this: http://www.exploroz....s/SizeCalc.aspx Tyre Size Difference Comparison Select Wheel/Tyre 1 / 240/45 R18 ** for some reason it thinks 245/45 tyres don't exist and changes it to 240/45 Select Wheel/Tyre 2 / 275/30 R19 Results for your selected Wheel/Tyre 1 Rolling Radius 338.85mm Circumference 2129.06mm Diameter 677.7mm Wheel Cover Size Size 003 Results for your selected Wheel/Tyre 2 Rolling Radius 323.8mm Circumference 2034.5mm Diameter 647.6mm Wheel Cover Size Size 001 Differences between Wheel/Tyre 1 & 2 Rolling Radius -15.05mm Circumference -94.56mm Diameter -30.1mm When your speedo reads 100km/hr you're actually at 95.35 km/hr -
I know a few people have given up on the GT8s and parted the car out, as it costs more than the car is worth for a new CVT transmission. I have heard of some putting a coupe auto trans in (which is a pretty major job including ECU change), but have also seen some parted out and sold off in bits. I have been warning people off of the GT8s since Adam was a boy, but some learn the hard way
-
Hehe glad you liked it - I gave it a fair blast past 50 or so near stationery cars - thought they would appreciate it Yeah mate, that's mine. Thanks! I get 50/50 positive to negative comments about the lights, but I love them! Ouch, that sucks big time! .... I am slow compared to the guys on here with decent GTRs, but don't seem to do too badly given I have less than half the power of most :D
-
Yeah it was good to meet you Mathew. It is bloody hard being the new guy, but you will fit in the SAU crowd just fine I reckon ..... how did you like trying to keep up with me coming home down the Gorge? One of my fave roads in Adelaide
-
Yeah mate, Matthew followed me in his silver V35 and we went the 2nd exit after Nuri, then went around the back through Penrice and got to Angaston right near the front of the group with no traffic hold up Did you like my blast past? Sadly I have the guts of one of my high flow cats rattling around in my exhaust somewhere so no doubt it sounded more than a bit rattly!
-
I have 275s on 10" +12 rims hanging out my back guards, low front and rear bars, dark tint, noisy exhaust, and I use my car daily for work (30,000km a year) and in nearly 3.5 years am yet to be pulled over However in my old R34 and S15 before that used to get pulled over regularly.
-
Haha yeah it's a shame I don't get to enjoy my angel-eye headlights nor led tail-lights myself .... my headlights didn't blind you too much did they? I still need to muck around more with their adjustment.
-
Yeah mate I was in that group with the GTiR ... were you in the white R32?
-
Yep MADR33 was driving like a total tool both times I had the misfortune to see him. Dodging in and out of cars, driving WAY too close to cars in front .... toolbag.
