Finally have encoded and uploaded the burnout video .... Go to this webpage and right click on 'THE Burnout' then 'save as' to somewhere on your hard drive note - beware 56Kers this is a 2.2Mb file - ADSL/Cable download time approx. 1 minute - 56K download time approx. 8-10 minutes (depending on connection speed) Will put all the videos and pics on a CD and keep a few copies in my car, please register your interest here if you want one .... can catch up sometime this weekend if you wanna grab one off me! Thanks for your pics Graham, I have downloaded yours and will put them on the CD as well .... in fact - I have a HEAP of Skyline drags, dynos, drifting etc that I can chuck on the CD as well for those interested. Let me know.

Hope we are gonna have a good turnout .... looks like the weather will be awesome (if not a tad hot) .... fyi I will be taking it VERY easy since my run-in with the fuzz .... so John and Robert don't try to razz me and get me to race *soooooo hard to do *

Do you guys have a dyno down there? .... I'd sure love to dyno my car while it is still fairly standard .... before the LS1 dyno day (when I hope to have my exhaust etc on by then). What sort of dyno/dyno-tune deal could you get me? *cheeky*

I will almost certainly be there /unless the wife cracks the ****s *again* If so, I will most certainly have my digi camera that burns straight onto 200Mb mini-CDRW disks .... it holds a LOT of photos! And it takes 15 second videos for deep conversations .... and burnouts *coff*

Sounds good to me Munro - that route sounds like a sweet run .... though chain-of-ponds would be some serious (but dangerous) fun too .... AND I have a swanky digital camera that records straight onto 200Mb CDs .... perfect for lots of those high-res car shots - available anytime of course .... it does short-length video too - perfect for burnouts and the like (just ask Drift_spec and David).

You know what we REALLY need to do?! .... As the warmer, sunny weather approaches, get the SASA, LS1 and WRX groups together to hire out AIR for a day of 1/4 mile / dyno / burnout fun .... Have a bbq lunch etc in the middle of the day and see what our cars can do on a properly prepared 1/4 mile track. Also tee up someone to bring out a dyno as well and I'm sure if we could get like 50+ ppl together each prepared to pay say $50 each (includes many 1/4 mile runs and dyno printouts = value) + say $10 for spectators/friends that would give a pool of maybe $3,000 to front the event. What does everyone think?

Cops Yeah I got off lucky 'cos they were fully drooling over my baby .... (cops) "oh, so the number plates mean Performance Car of The Year ... cool" - they were so funny ... they went on: "SO that blue thing was an R34 GTR hey? ..... bet they're quick" (me) "yeah 12.1 down the quarter and it's almost stock" (cops) "damn .... maybe we shoulda pulled him over for a look *grin*" They were funny as, and came out with comments like: "hey you're only human and you guys were going pretty quick - peer group pressure and all .... but there is a time and a place for everything" LOL I was trying not to laugh. Anyways they let me off with a formal caution .... lucky a cop got me there cos that was by far the slowest I had been going all night, and cos it had dried up somewhat I was actually getting traction rather than 1st and 2nd gears sideways - bet they woulda been less impressed if they'd seen me doing that! All in all a top night 'cept for the rain .... I agree a map would be better next time with progressive meet-up points for ppl who get left behind/lost.

I've got a dyno printout for it Munro .... 124rwkw - 1240kg car Hence why it goes kinda ok .... I am not gonna play with it for a while ('cos the 'boss' says I'm not allowed), but when I do the first things will be a Trust Intake and Exhaust setup, which adds 20rwkw straight away. Hopefully this upgrade is not too far off .... just have to convince someone in particular that it is a justified expense .... wives pfft

Nice to catch up with some of you guys (Andy Sir_GTR, Munro, Robert Drifty) last Saturday night .... that 6 car drag up Anzac Highway was something to behold! .... 4 cars wide Thanks for taking us back to your pad Munro to show off your sexeh GTRs - they ROCK! I hope you are going to bring one out Friday night .... I would prefer to see the 33 but it might attract a tiny bit too much attention from the boys in blue .... maybe the 34GTR V-Spec might have to make do :shake: I am looking forward to catching up with the rest of you rowdy mob this Friday! p.s. so what did you guys think of my new baby? I think it surprised a few people and turned some heads

Thanks I also appreciate the whole warranty and parts availability aspect too - makes it more appealing than a Skyline in some ways where you never actually know what you're getting (or more importantly where it has been)!
