Front And Back Rotor Quote From Nissan
Nightcrawler replied to dFed's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
If you need some help fitting the discs give me a PM - I can help if you need it. -
Yeah Merry Xmas/New Years all - have fun, eat lots, drink lots, but be safe - it's a jungle out there!
-
As per above, unless you are running the stock tyre sizes (which almost no-one ever does - even on stockies), then you will affect your speedo's accuracy. My tyre width/profile is WAY off - my speedo is out by about 15%, but I compensate for it and normally use my GPS digital speedo instead of the oem cluster.

Chris, unless you pay to be a business trader, you need to stop advertising what are clearly business-related parts on SAU. Please consider the information below: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/

You want to press the 4th button in from the left along the top (Info button), then move the joystick to the right, then push the joystick in (to press the 'Go' button). Get some English stickers here: http://www.ebay.com....=item2c6b09a71e And no, sadly the oem system doesn't have provision for a digital speedo. Your best best for digital speedo is to get a heads-up display (the bottom one is what I have) - sadly they don't make them anymore, but 2nd hand ones can be found pretty cheaply : http://www.defi-shop.com/products/end/vsd_x/summary_vsdx/ http://www.defi-shop.com/products/end/vsd_concept/summary_vsdcon/

Yep, I'll be there as always .... it is an awesome day out to check out all the fine rides!

Honestly though, for any variety of half-decent business, $400 to become an SAU sponsor for 6 months (or $600 for 12 months) and get perfectly targeted advertising on here is chicken feed - especially when compared to any other media. And we have to be fair to our paid sponsors and restrict this sort of thread .....
-
I bought it ages ago - but you can find them around for as cheap as $200 or so 2nd hand (mine is the limited edition black, so was about $100 more when new). But the SAFC Neo with the funky colour screen and better gauges has replaced the SAFCII. They are around $500 brand new. I fitted it myself (it is only around 5 wires), and Martin Donnon at Willall Racing Tuned it. I gained about 5rwkw and up to 100Nm of torque in places from the tune.

^^^ $100 is an insane bargain Brad! Wish I could find a carbon fibre one for my V35 under $1,000

Willall Racing have one sitting in their workshop - ring/PM Donnon

Yeah but there are dynos and then there are dynos. It is laughable some of the people here in Adelaide that have had their cars tuned/dynod at well known workshops with 'happy' dynos, then they come to one of our club dyno days at Willall Racing, and are very sadly disappointed that their insanely high magical dyno number is only 80% of the 'happy' dyno number. Typically dyno dynamics are 10-20% higher than mainline dynos, as they use a fudged 'X factor' to allow for ramp up rates, tyre profiles, number of cylinders that car has, humidity, temperature etc etc. If you change this 'X factor' number it changes the dyno figure significantly. Mainline dynos have no such bs, and run a raw number that cannot be fudged. The only way to really compare cars power levels is to run the cars on the same dyno on the same day.

Changing over cats should take about an hour. But my passenger side cat lightly touched the underbody, so I had to pay $100 to get it cut and re-welded at a slightly different angle. They were supposed to be bolt-on .... Yep around 160rwkw sounds about right. Depending no the dyno maybe even a touch more depending on whether you have touched the rest of the exhaust or not.
-
a/c issues can be to do with the air sensor pipe near your left knee when sitting in the drivers seat was not put back on properly when someone dropped the trim under the steering wheel column. Pull the lower trim off and see if a pipe that is supposed to connect to the left hand side is not connected.

I have fairly similar mods to your Sheldon and mine makes 184rwkw (on a very conservative Mainline dyno) with just an SAFCII. I would definitely get yours retuned.

Rolling Guard And Suspension

Depends on the quality of your roads, the height of your speed humps, the depth of the spoon drains, and whether you park your car in carparks or not. I went some Eibach lows and they really are too low for where I live. There is still a decent gap between my guards and tyres, but I scrape on pretty much everything. Mind you I have just paid my exhaust guy $600 to lift my whole exhaust so it tightly hugs the car body, and it seems that my problems are somewhat alleviated. Not before I have torn/cracked 2 cats, one y-pipe and both flexible joins over time. If I were to do it all over again I would go bags for sure. High and dry for daily driving (I use my car for work), and slammed for the weekend/shows/posing. http://www.andysautosport.com/infiniti/2003_2006_g35/suspension/air_suspension/air_bag_lowering_kits/ksport/kspo00002151.html -

As I mentioned you need rear camber arms before you fit springs .... -

Rolling Guard And Suspension
Nightcrawler replied to V(35)Powarh!'s topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Be aware that if you stretch a 245 on an 11" rim, the ride quality will be TERRIBLE. There is no sidewall flex, and if you hit a decent bump/gutter, it will debead or blow the tyre. Not to mention is completely illegal. Also be aware that if you want to run 11" rims on the rear, you will need at the very least adjustable lower control arms to add some serious camber. This then wears your tyres very unevenly, and you will find you are buying very expensive tyres on a very regular basis. -

^^ ah sorry Scott, didn't see the subsequent question ... but OP there is no way that 245s will fit on an 11", and even 275s will be a bit of stretch. I have 265s on my 10" rears and even they need to be massaged a tad when they fitted them to get them to bead and seal. I don't understand why on earth you would want 11" rims. And Seano, in case I hadn't pointed out previously, spacers are completely illegal and if you have an accident (whether or not you are at fault), if they notice, insurers will not pay your claim. Just something to note. -

^^^ he said 275s on the rear ..... But OP - have you priced up 275 tyres? You will literally fall over when you find out the price of a decent brand - upwards of $500 per tyre.
