  1. Any idea on how much it costs for the hardware and software?
  2. I searched long and hard to find my black premium coupe
  3. Ok I have cleaned up this thread. If you are not in the market to buy or ask legitimate questions, then please refrain from posting. Further negative posts will be deleted and official warnings given.
  4. Do you have an SAFC or other kind of computer? If you don't, then there is nothing you can do to tune your V. But either way, not really. After I had done all my mods I fitted an SAFCII and gained 10rwkw with an air/fuel tune, but there was a fair list of mods done in order to have that effect.
  5. No Tony, you can't run Nistune on the V35 ECU sadly - especially given I am friends with and live under 5km from Pete Leibig - the guy who owns PLMS, makes the boards and tunes cars too ....
  6. So you run about 220rwkw then I take it .... why would you even bother spending the sort of coin if you only have for that sort of power? And when you spin a bearing or create a piston inspection window in the side of your block I look forward to reading your sob story ..... when I had my R34 I ran a HKS 2530 on a RB25NEO and made a lazy 240rwkw @ 1 bar in an auto .... so obviously 220rwkw out of a 3.5l engine is pretty crappy. The guy was asking for advice - yours is bad. MOST people who run FI on VQ35DEs only do so for a fairly short period of time, and then are up for significant cost and heartache - especially for non-mechanically minded people. That is all I was saying. Most people don't realise what you really need to do to make a FI setup on VQ35DEs to make them reliable. Decompression, block strengthening/machining and new crack/rods/pistons/head studs are the minimum required imho. Not to mention valve ECU/tuning, porting/manifold matching, fuel lines upgrade, fuel reg, fuel pumps, clutch/valve body and injectors upgrades etc etc ....
  7. Plain and simple though - our very high compression motors are most certainly not built to withstand FI. Maybe with most conservative tuning, tons of fuel and a bit of luck you could do it, but for the most part, people who go to the expense and trouble of putting on FI don't do it to gain 30rwkw - they want decent power, and in order to do that you need to run timing and boost, which will result in an exploded motor. Fullstop.
  8. What exactly is a 'first tune'? Without the addition of a full replacement ECU (like a PowerFC), piggy-back air/fuel computer (like an Apexi AFC NEO) wired into your ECU, full-on piggy-back ECU (like a Unichip), or an Osiris rom tune, you cannot perform any variety of tune on a V35. Putting a supercharger or turbocharger on a stock motor is an extremely bad idea. Pretty much every story I have read about people putting FI on a standard motor ends in tears after a short period of time. Have a read of this in full .... http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/350z-g35-twin-turbo-install.html
  9. If you are handy with a dremel you might make it fit And Seano you CAN'T road register a G35 (unless you are talking the convertible V36 version out of Europe). And when Infiniti start selling cars in Aus shortly you will see lots of people putting Infiniti badging on their V35s ..... once people start considering Infiniti to be a premium brand, people will respect it more. A lot like people putting Lexus badging on their Soarers.
  10. ^^^ so seriously, the OP has said he fell for some idiot telling him that an Infiniti badge will direct fit a V35 (like you have), he has it in his hand and sure enough it won't fit, and you want to dispute it?
  11. They are not interchangeable - the Nissan and Inifniti badges are different sizes. Even on V35s you have to buy a different front grille in order to fit the G35 badging.
  12. ^^^ Domino, I have fixed your post, but please do a new post detailing asking prices for each item as per forum rules.
  13. ^^^ seriously? https://maps.google.com.au/maps?oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&q=where+is+suriname%3F&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x8d0836d5d9d3d551:0x1037e1c0712936b2,Suriname&gl=au&ei=iWQ8UP-UB62UiQfarIDYAw&ved=0CCIQ8gEwAA
  14. pv35gt8 he never mentioned anything about fault codes .... read the topic content before you post .... And sonicii in my 03 coupe it most definitely does work - I can feel the difference and see the fuel economy difference when I reset my ECU. Why else would they tell you in the installation instructions of things like the Kinetix upper plenum to reset the ECU via this method after fitting the upper plenum to see results? Maybe the series II ECU is different, but I can't imagine for a second the cars auto tune saves to flash.
  15. Since you are new I will cut you a break, but please in future before posting a new thread use the search function - this topic has been covered dozens of time before. Easiest way to do it is disconnect your battery and pump the brake pedal 10 times. Or leave the battery disconnected overnight.
  16. Please DO NOT post general threads like this - post up your item, details, price and picture - that is it. Future vague threads like this will incur a warning and/or ban.
  17. Why would you not put a link to your ad in here so we don't have to go searching?
  18. Best to get 2 piece floating rotors like I have - when the disk gets hot it expands and contracts independent of the rotor centre, eliminating the chance of disk warping.
  19. Thread cleaned up. As pointed out, as per forum rules: IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO BUY THE CAR, DO NOT POST IN PEOPLES THREADS.
  20. There is an association of Z people that I did a cruise with last year - good group of guys. And yes, we should hook something up with them once the weather fines up. I didn't go due to car issues (cracked high flow cat/bent exhaust manifold), but the SAU:SA club cruise on yesterday was rained on all the way to Victor
  21. Yeah I assumed they were the same and have nearly bought some off Ebay a number of times but never got around to it. How are they different, and where did you get your info?
  22. Nah it's not an issue mate - I was just wondering how anyone from another state even found their way into the SA forums, that is all. And I did say your car was pimp
  23. Except the last post in here was Posted 05 June 2012 - 12:39 AM
  24. ^^^ nice car - but why do non-South Australians even lurk in the SA section, let alone post in here?
  25. It depends on whether your car uses D2r or D2s, and whether it actually has HIDs, or has Xenons. And no, you will not find those globes for anywhere near the price locally.
