I have been looking all over for a Nismo front bar. Can't find one in Aus, so have been looking overseas. Shipping price alone on a single bar from the USA is around $500. So I have been in contact with a guy in the USA who is willing to ship to Aus (ALL other sellers didn't even respond let alone give me a quote) on these bars: http://www.ebay.com/itm/390396183055?item=390396183055&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:X:eRTM:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr Note that these are made of Urethane (like oem), so unlike even the genuine Nismo bars (which are made of fibreglass) these are extremely flexible and will not break. I have learnt my lesson with fibreglass bars - they just do not last. Yes the Nismo bars are a much higher quality and flexibility than other fibreglass bars, but I have still seen them crack. So is anyone else keen if I buy a few of these suckers? Price at this stage delivered anywhere in Australia is around $700, which is very cheap for a Nismo V2 Urethane bar! $100 cheaper if you are from Adelaide and can pick up from me. Go have a look at what people on SAU have sold Stillen/Chargespeed and other front bars for, and you will see that $700 is an absolute bargain.

Oh, and I have just spent the last 3 hours under my car pulling off the lower control arms (to press in new bushes tomorrow), removing my mid-pipe (to be fixed tomorrow) and removing my drivers side Kinetix high flow cat (which I had bottomed out so badly it has bent and got a rather large crack in it - again to be fixed tomorrow). This is how the poor car looks at the moment. So I am not so much in love with her today (and yes, before anyone comments she is currently FILTHY. But will have a big wash, cut & polish and final hand polish before a club car show this weekend!)
-
Strange you didn't see much of an improvement Sam. When I fitted my Kinetix upper plenum I could feel not only slightly more power, but much more torque over the whole rev range!

Ah bugger. Who is doing your exhaust? I have bought another rear muffler to cut the stock tips off of and make up quad tips for myself. My aftermarket D-Max rear bumper bar NEEDS quad tips, as the opening is the prefect size for it and look all gapey with just one stock tip poking out each side.

Looking awesome there Sam!!! Love the black light housings - I am a bit sad I didn't get black now. Hey if you are free next weekend you should bring it up to the Kadina show'n'shine - the SAU:SA club will have 15 cars on display (including 2 x V35s). Or did I ask you about that already? There is a group driving up at 6:30am Sunday if you have footy on Saturday (the show is all day Sunday). Then you could come to the Coopers Alehouse at Wallaroo for dinner and either stay the night (we have bucket-loads of rooms) or drive back Sunday night.

V35 2003 Engine Mod Help
Nightcrawler replied to KingManu23's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Nah mate, DON'T pull me over just for the fun of it ... regardless of how well I am behaving I always crap my pants when getting pulled over .... I remember once when out cruising in my old S15 a copper pulling me over just to tell me how clean/good my car looked! Not an entirely bad, but not an entirely great experience -
I just looked through my timeslips and my best 60' in the S15 was 1.902 - and sadly that wasn't on my fastest run. I never ran on drag radials - I now wish I had tried some back in the day, as I always spun some through 1-2 and 2-3 gear changes. Helps that the S15 was only 1,250kg too

Have you got software that can black out the image and you just upload the audio with a blank video? -
V35 2003 Engine Mod Help

Yeah the tunnel incident is why I am so vigilant about it now. Even though it wasn't an SAU:SA club sanctioned cruise, there were 4 club members involved, which brought the heat on us as a club. I had to meet with the head of SA traffic cops Stuart McLean a number of times and we finally got across that we as a club don't condone that sort of behaviour, and subsequently the cops have stopped harassing us. It was not a fun time for Skylines in SA though - every man and his dog got picked on for a fair while after that incident. -
It's weird that most chatter on the US forums says that the shift kit does bugger all on the V35 - and I have had a few people tell me that Mike from MV Automatics actually talked them OUT of doing it, as a waste of money. So I had never considered bothering. But recently I have heard a couple of people say that it is awesome. I am confused. But I will be keen to see what yours is like Sam (and how much it cost in total).

An Apexi AFC Neo is the current model (and is pretty awesome too) - and can be found about the place for $400-$500. Then a tune on top you are looking around $400 I think - or if you join up with SAU:SA you get a 10% discount from Willalls (which covers your whole membership cost in a single discount).
-
Nice Sam! I can't wait to see it with the shift kit. I put in an Apexi SAFCII and made an extra 8rwkw with a Willall Racing/Martin Donnon tune.

My strong advice to you Sheldon would be to take this video down immediately .... police DO check these forums, and they WILL pursue you and charge you for this sort of behaviour - A Current Affair would have a field day with this footage - especially with the people on the street. -

jet2nv, regardless of your opinion on an item or price, DO NOT post in someone's for sale thread unless you are making a genuine enquiry or offer. A seller can sell anything for whatever they like. Take this as your first and last warning. I have cleaned your bs out of this thread. Next time keep your opinion to yourself. DO NOT SPAM FOR SALE THREADS .... it is a forum rule. -
What was the event run like, how many runs did you do, did you get to line up against whoever you wanted/or was it more structured? I might have to take the V35 whale out next time and see if I can crack a 13.XX

V35 2003 Engine Mod Help

All the reading I have done says don't bother with headers as they are a pita to fit (massive job unless you pull the engine from the car), and have little performance benefit. But you are on the right track with the other mods .... then add an Apexi SAFCII so you can tune the thing somewhat. -
V35 Sat Nav English Converstion?
Nightcrawler replied to Ryan33's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I think it is is worth it just for the service reminders .... but if you can read Japanese or write down which reminder is which, you could use it without the conversion I guess. -

The ballast was a tight fit on the seal, but I used a tiny bit of lube to bed it into the seal properly. Nope, I have no condensation. -

Just buy a Davies Craig unit off Ebay or from your local auto shop. The standard hoses are a tad short, but the Davies Craig coolers come with some hoses anyhow. The most time consuming thing of the the whole trans cooler install is removing and reinstalling the front bar and its 1,000 bolts!
