  1. I don't really want to deal with all the payments. How about we just go with the original plan: - everyone pair up - one person of the pair email Jesse and nominate sea or air shipping and get a quote for 2 pairs ot their home/business address. - the other person in the pair transfer the $$$ to the first person. - once Jesse has 5 x emails for pairs of guys the deal is officially on. (I believe he has 4 pairs contact him already) - the first person then follows the payment instructions and pays Jesse. So to make it clear, let's work on a pair of lights shipped by sea = $920 ($460 each allows a small margin for currency fluctuation - and if it works out to less Jesse will refund the difference). And by air (to Adelaide, so I assume the cost its the same to anywhere in Aus), allow $1,020 (for a margin of currency fluctuation). If you can't find/don't want to make a pair then sea will be $480, and air $530. But email Jesse for a quote and confirmation.
  2. shiva you can't be serious? We are short on numbers, YOU are the organiser, and YOU Are pulling out? FFS.
  3. It seemed to me from Jesse that there is no discount for sending 2 at once - in fact I got the impression that they will come as separate 6kg packages anyhow.
  4. Just be careful if they are going to declare full value of each pair @ over $333 each you will get slugged for Aus duties = roughly 25% (including GST) if you put together 3 sets.
  5. I have just emailed Jesse regarding lights for Heretical and myself, and we are getitng a quote on them shipped via air mail.
  6. ^^^ so now, after you are on the confirmed list and right at the end of the process you are pulling out? It is guys like you that make group buys fail. Bad form.
  7. And you need to find out when he is "going oversea" .... the car market is that bad at the moment, and that is one of the most expensive ones on Carsales - he is going to have to drop the price a heap to move it in any sort of reasonable time. Plus if you got a V36 through Iron Chef I bet you could get a 2008 one for $40k.
  8. Buy a slightly older (or higher km) V36 for $40k and put a $10k supercharger on it - 300+rwkw and you can cruise in comfort and style.
  9. Yeah I am SA as well - can pair up with Heretical
  10. ^^ I agree with Martin - that certainly is a clean 31 you have there! Love it.
  11. ^^^is your car wine red, and you bought it off a guy called Kym?
  12. ^^^ wow, looks amazing! I take it it is on bags to get it that low for the photos?!
  13. Be prepared to spend over $3k second hand for any GT-Cs in decent offset. If they were available cheaper than that, I would buy them
  14. ^^^ Nice - I have always loved the Kai style. But don't bother getting the guards rolled - get some skinner tyres with some stretch - those puffy looking things are a bit imho
  15. No standard car in the universe has offset anywhere near what you need. You are not going to fall across a set of wheels in the size you want - you are going to actively search for wheels mate - it is hard work, and 99% of the wheels you come across will be nowhere near the right offset.
  16. Yeah 8.5 +35 is weak as .... I mean use the calculator and compare 8.5 +35 to my fronts 9.5 +20 = they would sit 21mm further inside the guards than mine = fail. And on the rear make that 42mm further inside = horrendous fail. But yes if you have a $1k budget you are screwed. Save up and buy a more decent set. If you can live with not-so-tough offset buy some R34GTR wheels - a set sold recently here in SA for $1,200 = cheap!
  17. I have done TONS of research on this, and in my opinion, the following are the best results to have nice flush fitment on a V35 coupe: Front 9.5" wide +20 offset running 235/40s = no scrubbing at all - tiny bit lower offset needed to be perfectly flush, but normally results in some scrubbing Rear 10" wide +12 offset running 265/35s, but you need camber arms to tuck the tops in a tad (which ytou want anyhow for optimal road handling under power). Awesome site full of info and pictures : http://rimtuck.com/s...odel=G35+coupe And to figure out offsets, use http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
  18. ^^^ If you want to join a great Skyline club, check out www.sausa.com.au - we would love to see more V35s in the club We have a club members only dawn cruise followed by breakfast next Sunday if you are keen to join up - only $30 per annum (plus a $15 once-off admin fee) .... we do cruises (as I said next one is Sun 18th March), car shows (next one is 24th March), track days (next one is 16th April), dyno days (next one is in May), and tons of other stuff (Tokyo Autosalon trip last year, ten pin bowling the other week, paintball in coming months, social dinners, etc etc) .... ... end shameless plug!
  19. ^^^ seriously? You are geting the exact same level of information you would get if you were buying these for $600+ off Ebay. And you don't need buyer protection - Jesse Streeter is one of the safest and best known Australian guys living in/trading out of Japan you will ever meet. Rest assured these lights will be plug and play - at worst you pay have to hook up an earth (or switched power) for the halos, but Japanese manufacturers tend to cover all bases and these are almost certainly going to be truly plug and play, and a lot higher quality than the USA lights about the place.
  20. Yeah sorry mate sounded to me like you were being a sarcastic twat. My mistake, and I am sorry :ninja: Cleaned up the thread a bit ... gl with your hunt for a new car - there are plenty of good ones at great prices at the moment.
  21. The prices on their website are landed in Aus, complied and ready to rego. That price seems pretty high, but then down the bottom they talk about discount if you pay a deposit prior to landing here etc .... so at $2k off the price is getting more reasonable. Any particaulr reason you want a 250GT (I can only assume you are a P Plater), as the resale on 250GTs is truly awful.
  22. V35s have crap sound insulation IMHO - I have always found tyres to be noisier than I would like - espeically since I buy aggressive/high performance tread styles, which tend to have blocky shoulders - it is the big blocky tyre shoulders that make for a noisy tyre I find. Bad news is the noise will not get better for you .....
  23. Nope - it is a bit of a complex procedure - not a 5 minute job.
  24. ^^^ incorrect. Despite the fact that Aus compliance states that ALL factory HIDs without self-levelling and self-washing facilities need to be removed to meet ADRs, when I was shoppping for a V35 I couldn't find one without HIDs! I think there are WAY more with HIDs than without. But if you buy an aftermarket HID kit which are as cheap as $200 now you could fit them into these new lights with basic meachnical/auto electrical skills. You only need to modify a couple of wires, and install a power wire to the battery on a relay. I did it on my S15 and R34 - pretty easy job!
  25. Now all we need is someone to make stovetop R35GTR style tail-lights for the V35 .... now that would be porn!
