  1. http://www.robrobinette.com/et.htm Using my old S15 as an example it was 1,250kg +100kg for me = 2,976lb Power was 200rwkw = 268rwhp Calc comes up with 12.99, which was what it did on a regular basis .... but I once got it down to 12.74 with good tyres and an awesome launch. But that calc comes up with 12.6 for an R33 with 100kg driver at 240rwkw, which is a bit optimistic imho unless you had massively sticky tyres and the launch of a lifetime. I reckon a flat 13 is par for the course for a 240rwkw R33 with decent tyres and a decent driver.
  2. Yep I can't imagine for a second you will ever get a full size pram into the boot of a coupe. And you won't get a rear facing capsule (which they need until they are 6 months or 9kg) in unless you have the passenger seat COMPLETELY forward (ie. basically unable to seat a passenger). An actual baby seat (for 6mths+) fits easily and my 3 year old gets in and out easily on his own.
  3. That is a serious piece of hardware Matty! Looks the goods
  4. 1st step is take it up with the inspector. It is their job to find these things out, and what you pay them for. The guy who inspected mine discovered the broken audio unit, so they replaced it. However my guy didn't realise the central locking didn't work and I never chased up anyone about it, so it still doesn't work (well, intermittently anyhow) 2 years later Yes, every 2nd hand dealer has a statutory 3 month warranty on every vehicle they sell. If they don't want to play ball, tell them you have spoken with Consumer Affairs and they advised that the dealer fix it quick smart, otherwise they will be getting a letter from the ACCC. My advice is if you can get the $600(ish) out of them install a Nissan double din kit and put a nice touch screen DVD player/radio in like I did similar to this : http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/260817904589?hlp=false For a small amount of out of pocket coin you will have a good setup.
  5. A battery charger that charges NORMAL batteries up to 20 times? Awesome! About time they cracked the technology. http://www.dealme.com.au/deal/national/battery-charger-normal-alkaline-and-re-chargeable-/ I look forward to seeing many of you peeps for the Senna Movie and dinner tonight! Sorry, it is Club members only, for those that aren't.
  6. I am sure anyone willing to rough it on a blow up mattress and bring their own sleeping bag will easily find a free place to sleep on someone's floor. I already have said MattR can sleep on Sled and my floor
  7. I have 9.5 +20 on the front and 10 +12 on the rear .... absolutely perfect offset if you ask me. Never had ANY rubbing and don't have rolled guards.
  8. This looks very cool, people - maybe we should do an SAU thing this month while it is free? http://www.pcauthority.com.au/News/266368,games-grog-and-no-girls-pimptv-launches-gaming-bar.aspx?eid=19&edate=20110810&utm_source=20110810&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=daily_newsletter
  9. Matt (BoostdR) has an awesome one for sale (if it hasn't sold already). A quick search of the 'cars for sale' forum reveals all : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/371460-silver-m35-axis-autech/page__p__5921614__hl__m35__fromsearch__1#entry5921614 and a super cheap one here : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/372684-cheapest-stagea-m35-13000/page__p__5954608__hl__m35__fromsearch__1#entry5954608
  10. Oh, and the hotel looks freaking awesome! Really it doesn't really matter where everyone stays, as the Saturday night will have a big dinner on that we will all be at, and everywhere is walking distance anyhow. Did you book 2 nights or 3 Pete - I am hoping 3 - would love to mosey back home at leisure on Monday and avoid all the traffic and night driving.
  11. I hope you got us the 1 bedroom luxury Pete .... oooooh romantic
  12. Yep was a reasonable turnout and a great group of people. We will have to do it again when the weather warms up - lunch at Hahndorf next time methinks!
  13. WOW, sorry to tell you Keng Ly, but it will probably be cheaper for you to buy a new car than fix your CVT box .... once they have problems they are HUGE trouble .... search around the net for the dozens of horror stories on these gearboxes. It is the reason I didn't buy a CV8 - as much as they are great to drive ....
  14. Awesome wheels Mike! I am not in the market for new wheels, but if you were keen to have a look at them/do some advertising of them fitted on a certain black V35 coupe I would be keen to come over for half an hour to try them on for fun!
  15. I spoke with a mate who has a white coupe with slamming Volk wheels on and he hopes to be coming too. I know Brad (ducati02) spoke to a few V35 owners and I believe some of them are coming too.
  16. No wasn't me ogZ - I had bronze Gram Light Pros on my old black R34 4 door though .....
  17. Yeah I am in for this (am still negotiating with the wife, but hopefully she will come around) .... and yes, thanks to Ash for putting together such a massive event - Australia will have seen nothing like this!
  18. Yes you can get ANYTHING that is metal powder-coated or painted. The first rims have offset of complete fail - assume you realise this. Problem is that most rims don't come in offset that looks decent on the V35 - you really have to shop around. You want minimum of 9.5 +20 on the front and 10 +12 on the rear if you want to sit even remotely flush. My rims are similar to the 2nd pic - and look awesome imho!
  19. He is one of the head guys at Ericsson doing the 4G rollout - he is always heading from state to state overseeing towers and operations.
  20. hey mate, you don't happen to know a guy named Aaron Garard by any chance?
  21. My V35 is the opposite - I have bucketloads more eyebrow clearance than legal/desired and my exhaust (which has been modified already to be as close to the car as possible) is still way under 100mm clearance and bottoms out on EVERYTHING
  22. Best to call Regency Park really .... but I cant imagine for a second they would get rid of the eyebrow height law.
  23. cmon TUFF_350 ... who has an engagement party on a Saturday afternoon? You were pre-booked to come to the inaugural V35 meet. Please don't make this meet-up like every other SAU public event where everyone says they are coming then bitches out at the last minute cos something better comes up We want as many V35s there as possible!
  24. Wow the Aussie dollar is in freefall after the USA debt bailout announcement - $1.10.7 2 days ago, has just bottomed out at $1.07.0 - better buy up any parts you want from overseas now kids!
  25. Yeah I am going to pick up a couple of Momentus soon too .... I currently have 2 x 64Gb SSDs as my Windows and Program files drives (non-RAIDed), and whilst the speed is great, every time I need to load a file off one of my storage drives the pause is unbearable. It is not a huge pause, but with a hybrid drive I would buy 2 and mirror raid them - that way I could fit my Win7 install, program files and current Torrent data on the 'one' drive, which I think would be significantly faster than my setup is now. Have you done any read/write tests Joel?
