  1. Yeah I do have the whole kit Victor .... and it is not genuine - it is a Viva Garage copy. The guy I bought it off paid $850 for the kit and I "stole" it off him for a low $400, as he had already sold his V35 without getting to fit the kit! Bargain!!! It fits like shit, but a fair bit of work and I have the front bar and side skirts looking ok (haven't even trial fitted the rear bar, but expect it to need some work too). The front indicators fitment needs more work - when I have time I will do them properly and re-wrap the bar, as I have scratched the heck out of it on the passenger side mucking around getting the indicator to fit at all Roy, yeah I am going to see if my exhaust workshop can heat and bend the cat slightly, otherwise I will take off the oem body heat shield and stick some high temp relflective matting on the body, which is much thinner. It shits me that they advertice these things as "direct bolt-on fitment", but are not. In fact I was lucky that I already had the Megan Racing Y-pipe, as the Kinteix hfcs are much shorter than the stock cats, and the Megan Y-pipe is much longer than the stock one. So when they are bolted together they fit perfectly, but I were just going to kit the Y-pipe you would have to push the rear of the exhaust back a good 20cm or so!
  2. Yeah Victor that is the bar (and side skirts) I have. Do you know what they are called? I bought them off someone who bought them off someone, so he didn't know what they are called. Adam, I will get a recording next week when I get this vibration sorted out (I am off to Melbourne tomorrow for the weekend). It sounds tough as - especially on WOT! For everyones info this is my exhaust layout: Stock manifolds Kintetic hfcs Megan racing Y-Pipe stock centre pipe and muffler (to be replaced by a straight pipe and Apexi ECV next week) Cheap Chinese axle-back exhaust with blue tips (after just 1 track day I am pretty sure I had blown ALL the internals out of the exhaust, as the volume increased significantly).
  3. I got the Kinetix hfcs from Concept Z Performance http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=889&Car_Type=G35&UID=20110518071114122.49.148.28 Mike from CZP, who I chatted to via PM on G35Driver.com did them for US$460 delivered to Adelaide. He also quoted me US$565 for the Berk hfcs delivered. Took 5 days to get to my door and they take Visa (which has a much better exchange rate than Paypal).
  4. minh they took about 5 hours all up to install, but keep in mind that I did it on jacks/jack stands in my driveway - would be a TONS easier job on a hoit. But I wanted to do it myself. Also, a couple of the nuts were absolute pains in the butt and took 10 times longer than the easy nuts. I also replaced a stud on my front drivers side wheel, as it was buggered, so that took a little time. Bee, no I particularly bought the Kinetix cats, a they are about the only manufacturer that guarantee no check engine light. And sure enough I don't have one!
  5. The old set is what came off the car .... I assume it is the stock y-pipe, with compliance cats fitted here in Australia when it landed. Is it not the stock y-pipe? A little raspiness, but more of a growl. Haven't fully put it through its paces yet, as the passenger side cat fouls ever so slightly on the body heat shielding and makes a bad noise. Going to get that sorted out tomorrow with any sort of luck.
  6. Just thought I would post up since I fitted these today. Definitely has a much meaner (and louder sound), and the butt dyno likes it. Am dynoing the car at the SAU:SA dyno day next weekend, so will see how it goes. Stock dyno was a bit low at just over 150rwkw (it is an auto though). The Willall Racing dyno is known for being a true display of power, not the fluffed up X-factor dynos mostly seen about the place. Either way, my 150rwkw run was on the same dyno, so we will see next weekend. And got a new front bar, so I carbon wrapped it (sorry for the crappy photo - will get some more up when I get pics of my wrapped side skirts, and when I get around to doing the rear bumper).
  7. Carbon Fibre bonnets are most deiniftely NOT legal in South Australia (nor the rest of Australia for that matter). They can not and have not passed ADR certification, as they are deemed to be a pedestrian risk as they tend to shatter when they hit someone, sending lethal shards of carbon fibre all over place. But plenty of people run them anyhow At the end of the day in the police eyes all Skylines are illegal, fullstop.
  8. post above deleted the BIG issue is that you are NOT a paid trader, and as such cannot 'advertise' on these forums like this.
  9. R34 front 4 door and 2 ddor seats are identical Jenna (I bought the leatherette covers ofr a coupe and they fitted my 4 door perfectly). The seat rails are however different - is the rail stuffed?
  10. And 1) I have NEVER seen a stock turbo on an R33 run 215rwkw, and 2) if it magically did, for how long, and how hard were you wringing its neck? As I said, my 2530 made a LAZY 230 behind an auto slush box, with no aftermarket timing/tuning (just an SAFCII), with standard injectors and fuel pump. Of course it could have made a shit-ton more if I would in more boost, got bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, better tuning etc .... but that is not the point.
  11. Bollocks ... I had an HKS 2530 on my R34 and it went like stink ... made a very lazy 230rwkw with only a very conservative SAFCII tune. Oh, and ZERO lag.
  12. Have you actually bought an R32 Tim?
  13. Yeah mate Tyler and I were coming back from lunch at the plaza. What car has Lauren got these days?
  14. ^^^ one of the very few cars to get knocked back from AJD this year lol
  15. Thanks mate. Got the lip off Carmate http://www.carmate.com/product_details.php?productid=NSR35012OEMFL But I am about to get a new front bar and kit, so it is for sale shortly if you want it. Has a few decent cracks/nicks and scratches, and has only ever been rattle-can blacked, so will need a bit of panel beating work work to bring up to scratch. But for $100 you can't go wrong
  16. I currently have 225/35 18s stretched on 18 x 9.5 +20 rims on the front and 235/40 18s on 18 x 9.5 +20 on the rear, but the rear offset is softer than I hoped once I fitted my camber kit - so I am about to put some 265/40 18s stretched on 18 x 10 +12 rims on the rear.
  17. I do all my own work on the car Chris - a mechanic of any variety has not touched the thing yet. As I said go to Main North Nissan, Craig in the spare parts division is an import supporter (he used to help me out on spares for my R34 all the time no problems), and they are an SAU:SA club sponsor (so if you joined up you would get 10% off too), so I would definitely try there Geoff.
  18. Hi Geoff this is the wrong place to be asking such advice. Post a thread in the V35 section - and in fact you will already find a topic there on it. But I would take it to Main North Nissan if I were you - pretty sure they will service the V35 since it is so similar to the 350Z. BTW saw your V35 in Nuri a few weeks back parked in the carpark at the park with the train in it opposite BP/Subway. Looked around for you, but couldn't find you.
  19. Yeah I had my windows open for pretty much the whole movie .... can't have been that cold. Yeah sorry Troy, but like it or not Facebook is the new email, so those who resist and don't have it are left behind. Like it or not it IS the new social media. You can sit back and wear a tin-foil hat citing privacy/conspiracy etc concerns, but it will still exist and it is an amazing vessel through which to keep in contact with the entire universe.
  20. ^^^ If the car was stickered up and the plates were "1GTR" then it was Slip (Sebastian) off SAU .... and he came 2nd in the "Mt Alma Mile" the other weekend (followed closely by Greg Keene in his Porsche and Andrew (Blue32 on SAU) in his beastly GTR ).... super fast car!
  21. I don't have a car that I am even close to willing to leave outside the Lizbef cinemas for more than 5 minutes unattended .....

  23. That would be my brother-in-law "Red Back" on here .... and he is an SAU:SA Member .... I bought him his cool number plates for his birthday a few years back
  24. Yep, it was a combination of the Infiniti brand/badging, and the fact that they don't have R32/33/34 GTRs over there to overwhelm the V35/G35 (there are a handful of R32/33/34 private imports in the USA but even these have been deemeed to be illegal in recent times). In Japan the V35 is considered slow, but in the USA a 3.5L V6 that can do sub-6 seconds 0-100km and high 13 second 1/4 mile is an attractive proposition - especially in a semi-luxury car with leather, sat-nav, Brembos etc etc.
  25. Sadly because the V35 doesn't sport a snail, no Japanese houses took them on in terms of tuning, racing, styling or basically anything. Sure there are some Jap bits, but nearly every single thing I have bought for my V35 is out of the USA, where the tuning scene is huge. Hell, even when they briefly ran some R/V35 cars in the JGTC they ran VQ30DETTs in them, rather than our beautiful VQ35s (the VQ30DETT was later replaced by the VK45DE) .... if only they had turbo's the V35 they would be an amazing thing .... pretty muh everyone that has done an aftermarket turbo or supercharger kit on them has cracked 300rwkw with relative ease.
