  1. Yeah Pete from PLMS Developments told me that the V35 stock ECU is completely untuneable except for a Cobb system - and the USA Cobb distributors told me that the ECU wiring is subtley different between the G35 and V35, so would not work .... I will however get around to fitting my SAFCII one day so at least I can mess with the a/f ratios.
  2. Actually, sorry I told you the wrong user - it is actually M I K E http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/359748-v36z34-akebono-brakes-with-adapters-for-v35z33m35/ And Bee - I assume the coilovers arrived ok? Have you fitted them yet?
  3. That is very nasty .... definitely a write-off ... hope you are ok Jenna!
  4. These things are rare as freaking hen's teeth, as everyone toasts them when they remove the turbo and/or engine. That said I am pretty sure I have not one, but 2 sets in the shed somewhere - I paid $150 a pair for them (I had committed to buy a set off a guy on the forums, transferred the money, then found a set locally and picked up that day, as I was super keen to get them on. Then I changed to a 2530 anyway and it came with braided lines). If I can find them you guys can have them for $150 a pair - I guarantee you won't find them for that price at any wrecker and Nissan charge a mint for them.
  5. Yep, and the same black coupe features on the Tech Wax 2.0 - part of the reason I bought it (since I own a black one)
  6. There is a guy from SA selling a pair of the front Akebonos - PM mr_rbman
  7. Your pics don't work mate. Can you PM them to me?
  8. Wow I am pretty devastated to read this .... but of course Kristian will do the right thing and all is well in the world. Heslo's is such a beautiful car - but THANK GOD you didn't do this to the N1!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. If you search around you will find an abundant amount of thread/posts suggesting that the best/most preferred tuners in Adelaide for Skylines are Martin at Willall Racing (who are also an SAU:SA club sponsor and you get discount there if you join the club), and Shaun at Boostowrx. There are others, such as Decs at Garage7, Simon at Morpowa, John Keen at Southern Hitech ....
  10. The very REASON we have stickied threads at the top of the SA forums is to avoid threads like these. Check out this one : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/123887-workshop-autoparts-listing/
  11. For those that have been living under a rock (Particularly relevant here at the 1:30 mark)
  12. You wire them up in parallel with your siren (you still want to retain a loud siren in the engine bay to aleryt passer-by the alarm is going off). Mine are deep up under the dash (one is actually inside a vent pointing forwards). They are similar to these: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Mini-Piezo-Siren-Car-alarm-system-security-LOUD-/260741335966?pt=AU_Security_Equipment&hash=item3cb5650b9e A kill switch can be done in many ways, but one of mine is a direct ignition cut (independent of my immobiliser) with a very secret touch-sensitive switch that needs to be held down while turning on the ignition in order to start the car. The other kill switch is completely different again, but I won't reveal details. My grandpa has an old school Falcon and in order to start his car you need to turn the heater/blower motor on to the "4" setting in order to activate a solenoid, which lets you start the car. Of course all kill switches can be gotten around given enough time, but the object is to deter and/or disturb the crooks so they give up or choose a different car.
  13. I have 2 kill switches. I also have 2 of the loudest piezo sirens INSIDE my car - I dare any would-be thief to stay indise the car for even 1 second tring to disarm the blaring alarm. I also have a remote pager alarm, which goes off in my pocket up to 1km away if anyone either tilts the car (I have a mercury tilt-switch) or sets off the alarm. I also always use my club lock. I have foiled would-be thieves before in a local shopping centre by running out of the shops when the pager went off in my pocket .... money well spent. But as everyone says if the REALLY want it they are going to get it no matter what.
  14. Read in the paper today about a break-in with the thieves getting away in a stolen black Skyline .... I assume it was this car.
  15. ^^^ I'll say it again .... for under US$20 you can get a lead-lined car blanket that will knock out any SMS/Satellite service ....
  16. Not even close to correct - they sell lead-lined blankets for $20 out of the USA .... they put your car on a truck, cover it with the blanket and it is gone .... or put it in a shipping container or sealed truck and they don't even need the blanket. I swear we should be allowed to elecrify our cars as a means of protection. Very sad to hear about your loss .... simply devastating.
  17. Why are you posting this in the SA forum Christian, or have you moved here?
  18. Errr you mean fullstops? You're a colon Steve
  19. Chips Away ... google them.
  20. Yeah I loved the Momo steering wheel until I realised that they have no radio nor cruise controls .... deal breaker for me .... they are sexy though!
  21. As per forum rules please use the 'wanted to buy' thread - no future friendly warnings will be given. I have merged this thread with the for sale one in the hope that this was a genuine mistake on your behalf.
  22. Wow long time no hear Guy - if you are after a ticket for either Saturday or Sunday on Pit Entry Gold, I am selling some tickets at $85 per day. Or I still have a 4 day pass for $185.
  23. OK I still have some Clipsal tickets for sale .... 1 x 4 day Pit Entry Gold $195 1 x Saturday Pit Entry gold ticket $85 (general admission price at the gate) 1 x Sunday Pit Entry gold ticket $88 (general admission price at the gate) Obviously these are premium Gold tickets in a great position, with a giant TV screen opposite, are undercover, and you have access to all the Gold areas!
  24. Very nice launches there Luke! Damn I wish we had a drag strip still .... Heathcote is an 8 hour drive - very bad news if you break something on the track.
  25. Wow that is an amazing time for that power level - with a 1.61 60' you must really hook it up! I know what you mean it is all about tyres .... back in 2003 I did a 12.74 110mph in my S15 and it only made 200rwkw - but it would do consistent 1.6-1.8 sec 60' times with decent street tyres - and it was my work car that I drove there and drove home at full weight.
