  1. Postie just rocked up with my new toy (the one on the left is new - I already had the V35). Stoked for just over $50 delivered for a 1:24 Jada diecast. Pics don't do it justice! The smaller one is my R35GTR Transformer
  2. ^^^ I was going to go see Nitro Circus with Whiplash but had some other commitments come up I couldn't get out of Insane stuff!
  3. ^^^ there doesn't need to be any proof, but I am pretty sure that they have to tail you at your exact speed for 200m before they can ping you. How could he have done this if he was presumably quite along way back and you never noticed him.
  4. What Dohmar is saying Wayne is that no Skyline EVER has run 280rwkw with standard turbos and injectors. Go check the RB26 power threads if you don't believe me.
  5. As a prize for being a bit of a tool for getting your post count up so cheaply I have changed your post count back to 5 Davoo. And with that sort of behaviour maybe you would be better off trolling the R31 skyline club, rather than SAU?
  6. ^^ yep Craig from Spare Parts at Main North Nissan keeps them in stock. Otherwise I have a vgc one off my R34 you can have for free (I changed it for the fun of it while I had the thing off one time). And fyi you won't completely have to remove the turbo (which is a giant pain in the ass getting the water line banjo bolts back it - just undo the turbo from the manifold, inlet and exhaust pipes, and you should be able to lean the turbo out off the studs enough to get the old gasket off and the new one on. will save you heaps of time - just watch you don't bend/kink the solid copper lines (if they are still on there). Getting those banjo bolts back in straight is one of the greatest pita jobs I have ever done on a car.
  7. Shirts have come up a treat! Bloody awesome work there Reuben and Steve!!!! I wore mine down to Wallall's for a few beers Saturday arvo and they loved it!
  8. A stock RB25 (flywheel 187kw) only makes around 140rwkw. A stock S15 (147kw) makes 114rwkw. My stock V35 (206kw) makes 146rwkw. 160rwkw for a stock, tired nearly 20 years old GTR sounds reasonable.
  9. heslo = epic post whore (fullstop) Nuff said
  10. Damn .... are you guys on your 2nd strikes, or is it much more strict over there? Here in SA you lose the car for 1 week first offence (used to be 48 hours when I was done in my R34 a couple of years ago), and 2nd offence they take the car for 3 months. Third strike they take the car and sell it to put the money towards the 'victims of crime' fund.
  11. Haha like your avatar Nick .... and where is MY VodkaO? (Or at least a hat)
  12. Yeah I DREAM of paying $270pw mortgage repayments .... try nearly triple that. But it is a nearly $1M house, so you have to expect to pay a decent mortgage
  13. Spotted this beast on Grand Junction Rd yesterday.
  14. I take it you didn't have an alarm Mark? I am sure you will rectify that situation VERY, VERY soon. If you did then I apologise, but my (outspoken) opinion is that any Skyline driver without an alarm deserves to have his car stolen. For the sake of a few hundred bucks it is not foolproof protection, but in this case where the car was close to the home you most certainly would have heard an alarm, or the more likely scenario is they wouldn't have even bothered trying. All car thieves have a special place reserved in hell for them .... right next to Hitler.
  15. 0.86 if you want more top end power but a bit of a lag monster, 0.64 if you want something streetable, which is what you will use 99% of the time. Depends too if you are going a top mount or low mount manifold, if you are buying a decent tuned length/stainless manifold, if you have upgraded cams/cam gears and how they are set .... there are lots of other variables too.
  16. If you are doing a 4 stud to 5 stud conversion you will definitely need all of the rotors, as well as brake calipers, and you will need the whole wheel hubs off - it is quite a massive job.
  17. HKS 2530 or Garret 2860. Nice 250rwkw with boost starting under 2,000rpm with full boost by 3,500rpm. What more could you ask for?
  18. I might be able to free up a few hours .... will let you know closer to the day. I assume you want to change over all the rotors/brakes/lines at the place, so you would need AT LEAST 4 decent size jacks. I also have a compressor and lots of air tools.
  19. Yeah I do love the Momo steering wheel and was originally looking for a V with one, but have since decided I absolutely couldn't do without my oem stereo controls and the US spec oem G35 cruise control buttons I fitted on the blank side.
  20. The issue is that he dug up an old thread from 2 years ago, in which the OP's question was extensively answered, and added to irrelevant garble that would be MUCH better suited for discussion in the wasteland. If every user went and dug up an old post and posted some crap in it, imagine what the forums would look like in a weeks time. You need to examine the other side of the coin once in a while guys.
  21. I didn't know you could get Work Kai's with dish!
  22. I am sure once you submit your registration and select "internet transfer" one of the exec would contact you with banking details. Or we have Paypal. Or significantly easier is to print out your form, fill it out and bring it, along with $45 to Villi's tonight, and you are done. Any of Myself, Reuben, Steve, Luke, Pete, Martin or Shane can take your cash and process you in due course. Steve and Reuben will be hanging around Villi's tonight with the club shirts, so there will definitely be exec there.
  23. ^^^ I already have that. Any lower and I will bottom out on the yellow bumps on the road (like when I first put my coils in). But the issue is that my stock bar is rooted and they are rare as rocking horse poo - I have only ever seen a couple for sale and they got snapped up quickly.
  24. ^^^ nope, if they are dusty a FCUK then they are NOT QFMs - one of their selling points is the lack of dust, and I found that to be true on my 34. If they are super dusty then its more likely they are Ferodo DS2600s, which are a popular upgrade choice for Skylines (for unintelligent mechanic types)
  25. From all the extensive reading I have done on the US G35 forums I have decided that I will will buy a Kinetix cover, and am going to pull off my lower collector and sand it back to a mirror finish (the $US450 MREV2 seems to be a mirror polished oem collector anyhow). Even on the 206kw engines this apparently gives a good result. It makes sense, as the casting on the lower collector where air flows is very roughly cast and looks like crap (especially when 50,000km old and covered in carbon). When I eventually get around to this I will do a direct before and after dyno on the same dyno to compare. Also, the Kinetix cover holds much less heat than its oem metal counterpart (so allows cooler inlet temps). And while I have it all apart I am going to do the throttle body coolant mod, which stops hot coolant water running through the t/b .... and also leads to cooler inlet temps. since I live in Adelaide where is does not get below zero I don't need the heater t/b to avoid freezing.
