Yeah Luke is dead right .... for a start I have to give 1/11th of that money back to the Govt as GST, then I pay $10k a year PI Insurance, not to mention run a company, car, phone, computers etc .... but hey, I know it will get busy again when the market heats back up, so at the moment I get to have some family time (went to the Gorge Wildlife park today for 4 hours with the wife and 2 year old) .... and when work gets busy again I go back to 18 hour days like I was doing a couple of years ago.

Yeah but I might have foregone working for 3 years while I did a degree (can ANY of you imagine not working/earning money for 3 years?), then moved to Darwin for 15 months straight out of Uni to get some practical experience .... and I have to do some more study and examinations to get even better qualifications soon

Yeah work is super slow atm and I am only working around 12 hours a week .... and am only getting paid around $1,200 a week for the privilege - nice on the the lifestyle, not so nice on the toys budget

Price seems a bit steep, but that's your prerogative.I know what you have spent on it, but in 2002 I bought an S15 for just under $50k brand new, spent 30k on it, then sold it 3 years later with 80,000km on it for $28k. Yeah but if you drive like a dickhead, then you pretty much deserve to get picked on/defected. That said, sometimes you can randomly get picked no and that does suck. As I stated above, I have had 3 quite highly modified cars (coilovers, wheels, loud exhaust, mods) and drive my cars daily for work and pleasure, and have NEVER been defected. I don't do anything to make my car stand out too much or be obviously illegal, and I don't drive like a dickhead.

We are supposed to be there 9am SHARP to set up Steve - they will want to position and rope off the cars .... highly doubt you will have time to get the snags in the morning. Have you cut up the onions?

Yeah but in nearly 10 years of driving a 200rwkw S15, 230rwkw R34 and now 170rwkw V35 I have NEVER been defected. All I hear are all the 'victims' crying waaaaa, waaaa, waaaa I am defected again .... I just avoid it by not being obviously defectable. But hey, some people get away with it .... and I did love those XD9s (and would have bought them if the fronts were slightly tougher offset and they were a different colour).
