Nightcrawler replied to sounddragon's topic in South Australia
Not appropriate Steve .... yes snide comments may have been made, but not as blatantly as yours, and not in his thread and to his face .... that is just not nice. You need to display more decorum, otherwise you will get a holiday. I guarantee you no mod (nor anyone else for that matter) has personally attacked someone like you just did. -
Despite it being very bad form and quite rude, alas we do not have a minimum number of posts to sell on SAU, so is not against forum rules.
-
^^^ nice joining up on SAU not to be a member of the community, but rather to sell your car .... this is not the Trading Post ....

Spotted a sweet looking white Stag with black graphics down the side and got a bit of a wave this arvo in the North-eastern area. Yeah which Mazda dealer do you work for Bec? The CX7 is not too bad .... I much prefer the build quality and after-sales support of Hondas, but might have my arm twisted if a premium black with black leather CX7 came up with under 30,000km at the right price. Guys, unfortunately the wife wants a bigger SUV style car (for children transportation), so V35 sedan and Stag are out (she currently has a Honda Accord Euro Lux, which we bought new).
-
spotted a Gunmetal grey R35GTR numberplate RGT 035 parked on North East Rd in front of Prestige Motors this arvo .... while I was test driving a 2008 CRV for the missus ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
-
Pete, Main North is the only SA GTR dealer bud .... and Craig from Parts there is a bloody champ!
-
Here is a tease from a photo shoot done the other day .... will get them all organised and post them up in due course .... this is one of my faves
-
Brembos ftw guys

1. Have you used the search function rather than go straight out and start a new topic? This has been covered dozens of times before. 2 .You shouldn't be being sent to Regency for 2 defective items - should be a cop shop visit. Go to your local cop shop and complain about the defect notice, then make a personal complaint about the officer for being a tosspot. 3. Factory blow-off valves are legal, as long as the return plumbing is intact.

Spotted this bizarre contraption at BP on Main North Rd the other day - pretty cool, but I can think of tons better ways to blow $32k (like on a V35 ) And took this shot of my V35 next to a 370Z - first time I had seen these models side by side.
-
haha yeah out the front of my brother-in-law's place on the seafront (Red Back on here) .... he had me digging trenches to put in some electrical conduit to his back yard.
-
One of my faves from Loxton ..... how many Skylines can you see in this pic? I make 7 - or 8 if you class Ruby's Stag as a 'Line
-
Thanks for taking the time to come on here and help us to help ourselves put in a better showing for next years event Dave. Much appreciated!
-
Holy turn back the clock Batman - haven't seen her for a VERY long time! How is Tokyo treating you N/A?

You might be breaking Sled's heart here .... he has his eye on that N1 Why would you want to get out of an increasingly more unreliable R33, only to go to a significantly more unreliable R32? Have you considered the maintenance and upkeep you would have to so on an R32? If you thought the R33 was bad for niggling age-related problems (like leaky hoses etc), then you are in for a whole world of hurt with an R32. Also, I thoroughly disagree with the 'appreciate in value' comment - which Sled also said (and obviously Chef is pushing ). Only if you vacuum sealed and never drove it would it have any chance of appreciating in value imho. But that is just my opinion. Save up some extra biscuit and buy an R34GTR James - in a completely different league to either of these ....
-
Please use the search function - this has been covered dozens of time before. And if you desperately need to make a new thread (for some reason), please be VERY descriptive as to what your thread is about - "Hello" is completely unsatisfactory. Something like "Buying a car from interstate, help needed" would have been much more appropriate.
-
I have a set of stock R34 suspension sitting here, but I also have no tops, as I used them on the Bilsteins I sold with the car.
-
Please don't misread my posts a purposely inflammatory or hateful Jedi. I meant the 'slapper' comment a bit tongue in cheek, and many of us Skyline owners have a soft spot for 300ZXs, and of course realise (and love) that they are Nissans. Of course there is some friendly rivalry between the different models and followings, and I can see how you guys would take offence at my posts, but I assure you they were meant to be more cheeky than outright hostile .... I applaud you for coming on here and clearing things up. Hope to catch you at the next country show. No hard feelings hey?
-
Yeah me neither. I was just explaining how my comment was misinterpreted as a dig at Ryan, when clearly it wasn't meant that way. In fact I actually had no idea that Ryan was the owner of the RColt, or that he was even there - if I had realised it was him I would have gone over and said g'day. I have met him briefly before, but didn't recognise him at the show - clearly I was too busy wrapped up in my own little world of setting up/cleaning, then alcohol affectation
-
Yeah you are dead right Ben - and in fact when I made the sub-post about Shane not winning best coupe, I didn't actually know that Ryan's RColt had even won the award - it was definitely not a diss on you or your car Ryan, that is for sure. I apologise sincerely if my ranting was misinterpreted. And yes, I understand they need to share the award loving around, and my comment about the Monaro taking 2nd was meant in jest - there was no way, no how my near stock 35 was going to get near any awards ....
-
and 2nd place in the coupe category was a stock standard Monaro - WTF .... where is the V35 love? .... at least I had SOME mods ....
-
I'm not saying your little Colt isn't nice Ryan, but simply that Shane's 180 is a fully customised show car that has had $100k thrown at it and is needless to say one of the best cars in the country (especially considering it has been on a TV show, and had many, many magazine front covers and various magazine shoots). You do the maths.

Well, where to start? Needless to say I had an awesome weekend. Absolutely great bunch of guys, some VERY nice cars, and lots of fun was had. Highlights: - Krishy pulling the Renmark slapper within moments at the car wash. - Guys sharing out drinks all over the place and hitting them hard. - DOHMAR cooking up a breakfast storm in the typical "Chef Ben" fashion. - shock of shocks Ruby rocking up at 8:30am Sat morning after leaving Adelaide at sparrow fart to drive up in a car with a busted transmission - and not only that, but he drove back to be with his family that evening after the dinner - now that is TOP NOTCH dedication to both SAU, AND his family!!! - Great teamwork and 'can-do' attitude setting up the tent and aligning cars at the show - masterfully led by DOHMAR - Plenty of brews, food and ice-cream all afternoon. - An easy/quick team pack-up and we left the display site spotless. - Plenty more laughs and brews at the dinner - damn those 9% McK's hit me hard! - Shane picking up 2 well deserved awards (easily should have been 3 - best coupe should have ben in there too). The SLED also picking up 2 awards, and again should have been more. And we robbed the raffle results - 6 prizes all up if I remember correctly - Plenty more to drink and lots of tomfoolery afterwards - to be honest a lot of it was a blur, but I seemed to have had fun. I do however remember Ben cooking us up bacon and egg sandwiches on the bbq at around midnight - AWESOME. - Ben cooking up another great bbq breakfast storm in the morning - but me failing by feeling too ill to eat it. - A nice cruise to Renmark with me feeling the most seedy I have in many, many years. I was uncharacteristically quiet, and uncrude - many people were confused - Good run home with a few cars coming the Northern way back I made it back to my place in dead on 3 hours. Thanks a ton for the great times and company guys. Sorry to Sled for keeping you up with my snoring mate - damn having a cold and not being able to breathe - the alcohol probably didn't help. Great to catch up with Shane and Christine - as Sled said, Shane's choice as el presidente of SAU is perfectly warranted and deserved. Thanks a ton Martin for the VQ35 Jap number plate - I love it. All the other lads were in top form too. Sorry to everyone for how crude I get when I drink, but hey, surely you have all come to expect this Top effort to everyone involved, and I can't wait for the next one. I will try to sort out some pics and upload them here, but am currently uploading them to Rapidshare for Ben to distribute at Villis Friday night.

ZOMFG .... that is what wet dreams are made of!

Can do it tomorrow night if you want Ben. Around 6 would be best - send me an SMS if you are going to come.
