Spotted the DOHMAR beast out the front of its owner's place around 3pm this arvo - what were you doing home from work you slacker? I gave a few beeps as I flew past - not sure if you would have heard me or not .... reminds me I need to get and fit some triple air horns to the 35
-
Bleh I still haven't packed, have about 2 hours of work to do, and haven't cleaned the V35 whatsoever - and I have to be at Ben's in 1 hour .... sigh - time to prioritise what doesn't get done before I leave.
-
That really sucks .... but sorry to tell you now but parking anywhere overnight in North Adelaide is vehicular suicide. It is the no.1 place for stolen cars in the whole of SA. If you had a Club lock on, chances they wouldn't have even bothered trying - I always use my Club lock as a visual deterrent. How did they get past your alarm? If you don't have an alarm, then you shouldn't be allowed to own a Skyline.

Give Stuart a ring and let him know - I am sure you can pay cash tomorrow night or on the day. 0418 843 899

Another reason to not tailgate people (apart from the fact it is just retarded), is that speed cameras now have the capability to do you for not leaving an adequate following distance - in a 60 zone you have to be a full 2.8 seconds behind the car in front of you, otherwise they will nab you for a high $200s fine - one of the guys from Morpowa was done the other week.

Thanks mate! She is getting there .... John is fitting the factory style cruise control today for the long drive up to Loxton. I fitted the front lip yesterday (in my trademark rattle can satin black), and put in the Alpine 12" in box and 1000W amp in yesterday too, so now she has some very nice sounds, with the Tarantula 6.5 splits I had put in a few weeks back
-
hey Chris, thanks for your express delivery of the cruise control and SWI-X the other week - I meant to ring u and thank you when they arrived by got busy and forgot about it. Due to various complications, John is finally installing the cruise tomorrow - I fit the buttons today (and subsequently now have the VDC and Slip lights lit - I am pretty sure I put the steering wheel back on 1 or 2 cogs out which hopefully is the cause) and he is doing the rest tomorrow. I have given him your number if he runs into any issues, as he is time constrained and doesn't have time to spend all day figuring things out, so you might hear from him. Haven't had time to fit the SWI-X yet, but looks pretty straight forward.

ah sweet - no problemo then - just thought I'd point it out in case you hadn't actually tried to sit in the back of one and wanted to try to squeeze human beings in there.
-
errr have you thought of the logistics of R35GTRs .... human beings DO NOT fit in the back seats - trust me I have sat in the back in slack casual clothes with the passenger seat right forward, and still didn't really fit. Any sort of formal clothing would be pure lunacy to try to fit into the rear seats.

Where do you buy oem software from Steve?
-
nah Ben, not in a position, nor necessary to upgrade the E yet. How did you get away with buying one piece of hardware to get Win7 oem Steve? Last time I bought an oem from MSY I had to buy a CPU AND a mobo AND a hard drive
-
Doh had a blonde moment there Ben - yes of course my EeePC is Asus, not Acer - damn company names so similar! Oh, so my 901 is a 1.6 ..... no wonder it is so quick - I was thoroughly impressed with the speed at which it runs lastXP 22 .... it truly flies. Makes more sense now I know the CPU has a fair bit more power than I thought. And yes (before you start), one day will buy a bigger SSD and chuck Win7 on it as per your recommendation Ben - but for now LastXP is doing just fine (I only use it for web browsing).
-
Sorry mate, buy IMHO Acer lappies are pieces of junk and you get exactly what you pay for .... so in the case of an Acer Eeepc how come I paid like $600 for my little E901 with Atom 900Mhz CPU, 20Gb HDD and 1Gb of ram, yet I am willing to bet you didn't pay much more yet got a 15" screen, dual core CPU, 4 x more ram and 16x bigger HDD .... answer is they cut the costs and build cheap POSs for normal lappies .... EeePC is the only Acer I would touch. Full format and reinstall for you would be the best bet Dion. And don't run the proprietary Acer version of Windows - get a PC guy who knows what he is doing to put a decent version on there without all the bloatware.
-
yeah mate, you are literally on my way to the freeway .... funny coincidence too I was at the playground on the cnr of Ways and NE Rd this arvo with the wife and 2 year old.
-
Those treads look a fair bit worse than 90% and 50% - did you drive on them much since posting the original ad? Will you accept offers? And sorry, there are quite a few sets of these in Aus. 2 guys here in Adelaide have them alone ..... they really are bloody awesome though! Would suit my V35 to a tea if you are willing to move on price to get a sale. The Yen is skyrocketing up and these are getting cheaper and cheaper out of Japan - I am just not sure I can be arsed organising it if I can get yours for the right price.
-
ok I agree it would be more fun to catch up with Sled and Shane and do the Freeway thing. I think Crafers at 2pm sounds fine - we should do Crafers to Loxton in a bit over 3 hours incl. a little stop to get Krishy. But I would have though to take the freeway all the way to Tailem Before we turn off to Karoonda, so maybe Krishy could meet us in MB. I have a 1W walkie and can get my hands on another one for someone to borrow.
-
Sorry Martin, have only just noticed this post .... damn SAU is supposed to notify me when EVERY new post is made, but seems to be playing up lately. Put me down on the 'probably not' list at stage mate - will let you know for sure by the Loxton show - have had some major expenses lately (including buying the V35, my $1,000 scuba gear and course I paid for this weekend), so have a slight issue with the missus regarding cash flow .... but I will work on her this week and let you know on the weekend if that is ok. TBH 2011 would probably be much better for me.

Yep, most of them are 'private seller', yet when you ring them they clearly are a business. When I was interested in a car (before I had it checked out and found it was a pos in wolf's clothing) they even wanted me to pay $10k cash, and the rest by bank cheque so they didn't have to declare/pay tax on the $10k portion. Word is, if they don't disclose they are a business and ask you to meet them at some service station or something, then run for the hills - dodgies have been done to people in this scenario.
-
I am signed, sealed and delivered. Will see how my V35 goes on the track

^^ Joey had agreed to buy my spare set until he saw yours for sale Craig, then he backed out on mine to buy yours. But then he SMSd me Saturday as he couldn't get hold of you and came picked mine up. He needed them on the spot, as he had his Regency inspection today IRC.

Freaking awesome, the Eureka will be running .... I assume it is Matt (Whatsisname's) mate .... can't wait to see that insane thing in action!!!!!
-
VERY poor form from whoever this was .... I have also been bitten by someone on here - Duc/Dooky/Nozila who borrowed my Consult cable (value around $100) and I have never seen it again. Hasn't responded to PMs, calls or SMSs .... very poor form I say.

PM me your email address Dave and I will get an invite sorted for you.
-
I use http://www.tvtorrents.com - if you want an invite let me know Dave. Of course being a private tracker you have to maintain good standing of upload vs download, otherwise you soon get banned. As long as you stick over 1:1 you will be fine. I use http://next-episode.net to manage what show have been aired and what I have/haven't downloaded yet .... very useful. Of course it is probably illegal to use these websites, so I strongly recommend you don't download anything off the internet, for safety's sake
-
Damn - I would go and tear the guy that you bought it from a new one. Clearly he has completely dodged a paint repair to sell the car and done the nastiest lack of prep imaginable! Looks like blisters under the front grille too, so assume that will need to be resprayed soon too. Bummer.
