RB20det Rod Bolts
GTSBoy replied to Ratty-Project-Daily-33gts's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
This is what I meant by searchable https://www.google.com.au/search?safe=off&source=hp&ei=MrJnXaqwLMG_9QOE_6-IDA&q=nissan+rb20+rod+bolt+part+number&oq=nissan+rb20+rod+bolt+part+number&gs_l=psy-ab.3..33i160.1222.8234..9122...0.0..0.399.9073.2-23j9......0....1..gws-wiz.......0i131j0j0i22i30j0i22i10i30j33i22i29i30j33i21.Oxis6IqQnTg&ved=0ahUKEwiqkdq2-KfkAhXBX30KHYT_C8EQ4dUDCAc&uact=5 And, I take back my earlier skepticism. It looks like they are common between the engines. -
R32 GTST stock brake clearance
GTSBoy replied to MizarP's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
R34 brakes are not huge. Same Sumitomo caliper, just with longer mounting legs, on 310mm rotor. Much better than R32 @ 280mm though. -
R32 GTST stock brake clearance
GTSBoy replied to MizarP's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Spacers are shit. A bolt on is safer, but will definitely push the wheel out at least 10mm, probably 15 for the smallest ones you could get. a 5mm slip on would be the least change to wheel position, but slip ons are not a great idea. RPF1s definitely fit. The above spec I posted is what is on mine, and they have fit R32 brakes, R33 brakes and now R34 brakes. -
That's nearly a write off. Lots of real panel beating to do there. If you haven't got the tools and skills, it has to go to a proper panel shop. Those panels are quite f**ked and will need a lot of massaging.

R32 GTST stock brake clearance
GTSBoy replied to MizarP's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
You need a small slip on spacer (at minimum), or a bigger bolt on spacer (because safer) to push the wheel out. But spacers are not a better idea than better wheels. RPF1s fit fine. 17x8 +35 fit with plenty of clearance to the spoke. -
'tis nothing.

4 door seats are not legal in a 2 door car, unless you deal with the back seats (removal, engineering, etc) appropriately. And no, they won't be too high. There's nothing special about the height of R3x seats.

Is that with the heatshield on or off? I've seen the stock heatshield lay up against the actuator rod and stop it moving fore-aft.

Every 6 months to start with, cutting them open to see how dirty they are and lengthening the time a bit if they aren't real bad. He wasn't but he should have been.

wastegate jammed open.

There's a lot of vacuum in that hose. You should investigate what is blocking the inlet end of it.

There's something deeply wrong with you fatz. But I love it. Never suspected the R32 would look so good as a hairdresser spec.

Questions regarding 2 R34 ECU pins
GTSBoy replied to CowboyZbop's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I don't have the wiring diagrams with me (I'm 3 minutes from getting on a plane).....but the wiring diagrams show you what the pins are connected to. The feedback one, I think, comes back from the ECCS relay. -
RB20det Rod Bolts

Wouldn't count on it. Part numbers are searchable though. -
No Vacuum at lower RPM (RB25DET NEO)
GTSBoy replied to DTT_Eruc's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Will change overlap, but only by a tiny amount. I'm thinking that something really big is wrong and you should take it apart. This is generally how these threads go. -
No Vacuum at lower RPM (RB25DET NEO)
GTSBoy replied to DTT_Eruc's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Let me state again.....how the hell can slightly tight clearances cause the effect you're seeing? It's just wrong to think that they can. The problem is elsewhere. -
No Vacuum at lower RPM (RB25DET NEO)
GTSBoy replied to DTT_Eruc's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
There is no way that slightly tight clearances can cause NO vacuum. Slightly less vacuum perhaps. But not none. You definitely have something very weird going on, and in my experience of these threads, it always turns out to be something that no-one could have guessed. -

GTSBoy replied to DTT_Eruc's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Sigh. It won't be the clearances. -
There's also several fuses and the odd relay. Get the wiring diagrams and start poking around with a multimeter and/or test light. Internet diagnosis will not work here. You need to actively find the problem.

I have the RS4 on now, and I don't think they are as good a tyre as the V720. They are damn near silent by comparison - but then an earthquake under a Deep Purple concert with a flyby of the Blue Arrows is quiet, compared to the V720.

760mm column height of an arbitrarily dense and toxic liquid as measured on the surface of the planet Earth at precisely the elevation that gives the acceleration due to gravity at 9.807 m/s. And that's NOT how we're supposed to define units of pressure. /sheesh

700 engine HP in the UK. And where precisely will this actually be useful? 500 engine HP is already more than is useful on a streeter.

Pop and bang exhaust illegal in Vic?
GTSBoy replied to sean12343's topic in General Automotive Discussion
It's illegal because noise increase and because of the way that it is achieved - being tuning the ECU, which is quite illegal, because it is a modification of an emissions control system. -
Block and ecu ID help please
GTSBoy replied to Hazzid69's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Wouldn't the test be as simple as; A: is it slow? B: is it REALLY f**kING slow? If A, then RB25DE, if B, then RB20DE. Right? -
The only warranty you should hope for is the concrete warranty. Expecting anything more than that on a motor built to make >2x the stock power is hilarious.
