Silencer is just the restricter on the outlet of the cannon right? If that's the case it's easily removed i'm assuming.

Hi guys, I am looking into getting the xforce turbo back system for my R32 GTR. She's making 330rwhp and has a cat back system on it at the moment. I'm after comments on power gains and how noisy it will be also. The current Veilside system on it now is really quiet, so it may be a bit of a shock if it's killer loud and full of drone. Anyway the x-force kit is 3.5" in SS and includes, dumps, front pipe, resonator, cat and rear cannon (so everything as a bolt on kit). Has anyone got any experience with this? - is it cheap(ish) for good reason or will it do the job? Don't want to buy this thing and regret it so ........any feedback will be much appreciated.

oooh.....the low baller with the ebay after-taste. mate i'm not so desperate for money and luckily i am a good sport....... You could in fact get the phone brand new on ebay for $230, BUT you'll get stung with a hefty $50 delivery. Or you could bid away on a second handy and probably score it for about 200-220 all up. Fair call or not? S0 for the bargain hunters I'll reveal my final price which is not negotiable. It will become a paper weight otherwise. $165 delivered take it or leave it. That's more than fair for a good quality 2 month old phone with all the goodies. Cheers, Tay -
Hi guys and girls - I've had this phone for about 2 months and now upgrading to a company sponsored phone so this ones up for grabs. It's virtually brand new and comes with everything in the standard Nokia pack (including 512Mb memory card, wall charger, pc suite + usb cable, hands free earphones, car charger (all in the box it came in)) Pretty common and reliable phone, so for full specs just google it. Oh yeah the phone is black in colour. Phone is in Perth. Price: $250 ono delivered. Cheaper for perth folk who want to come pick it up. Make me an offer - i'll most likely say yes if you are anywhere near that mark. I'll send pics via email if necessary but it's as new like i said so nothing much to be gained there. Cheers, Tay

Good choice mate - and when you get bored with the bronze just paint them another colour. Black would look tough. TE37's are a good quality wheel and so versatile. I'm biased obviously

Mag Wheel Options On My R32gtr
taynewguy replied to black sky's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
lol bok-choys FTW!!!!! I would avoid all of these rims. They are cheap, heavy and everybody knows it. Save your pennies and get a set of lightweight jap wheels. One suggestion is TE37's (like mine) - I'm a bit biased, but these look tough on almost any car and I've seen a few sets of 18*9.5's floating around the forums for ~$2500 which is a damn good price. -
Here's a quick snap straight after I put the cam covers back on. Still got to clean up lots under the bonnet but I'm getting there. Gotta add a few more bits of go fast bling like HKS fuel rail and and oil filler cap......and then when I get really bored I'll get the intake plenum done.

Sounds like you got away with it ok though. This happened to me a while back in my r33 - threw the fan into the radiator at about 5000rpm. The fan had a few chunks missing from the blades and the radiator was cactus! We put it down to a fault/hairline crack in the water pump itself, as the belts were at correct tension.

Mick Briffa is now my buddy and pal also! Very happy with his work and customer service - highly recommend him to anyone.

Hesitation/stutter As Soon As I Touch The Throttle

All intercooler pipes changed to hard pipes. But I didn't change for that reason - still had all the symptoms with the stock piping. -
Hesitation/stutter As Soon As I Touch The Throttle
taynewguy replied to taynewguy's topic in General Maintenance
Yeah I adjusted the timing back to 20deg and that all but eliminated the stutter. Put it up on the dyno and checked everything to be sure. The tune is fine and still makes ~250rwkw consistently without any knock etc But to answer your question - Yes does still happen when the car is cold. Once it's warm the stutter is gone - not ideal but I can live with it for now. -
Ok cool. definately NO problems though. Mick seemed like a very genuine guy when I met him. Sounds like they just broke something? Was supposed to pick up tomorrow but I'll just leave it till later in the week and see how they go. Appreciate the offer though Andrew.

Bringing this thread back from the dead I know..... Can someone tell me if the guys at Briffa Engineering have another number other than the mobile one listed in this thread?? I am having some polishing work done there and when I rang to see if I was able to pick the parts up I got a guy that does not speak English so well - which is making it difficult to find out why and how long my job is being delayed. I gathered from a brief (confusing) conversation on the phone: a machine of some sort is broken and they don't know when it will be fixed. Just my luck. Looks like the car will be off the road for a little while longer than i'd hoped. Anyway, just wanting to get hold of the younger guy I met there when I dropped off the parts to find out what the story is. Cheers, Tay

The only downside of the other side of the story is......someone usually ends up looking like a goose! -
Hyperdrive - Malaga - Quote On 420-460rwhp
taynewguy replied to Hypn0tiK's topic in Western Australia
This is such a useless thread. Quotes should reamin between you and the workshop - posting a snippet of what prices/parts you were quoted and leaving all the important bits out (i.e the specifics of what you actually asked for) is just stupid. Surely you didn't roll up to Ken and wisper in his ear "450Hp" then bend over and say give me your best! The forum is the right place to get ideas feedback on your build but NOT to name names and open the floor for ppl who wanna take a stab at a workshop. There's plenty more to choosing a workshop/mechanic/tuner than a list of parts and prices mate! I've been using Ken/hyperdrive for a few years now and will continue to take my cars there. Enough said. My 2C. -

taynewguy replied to taynewguy's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Just bumping it up. Tough crowd here......lots of interest but no one can afford the big 150. Oh well 140 delivered it is then. -
As topic states I've got some Apexi power intake pods with adapters that bolt straight up to the standard afm's. These are from my 32 GTR, and are in perfect working order. I changed mine over to a M's stainless steel set. Pics added. *Price changed After quick sale - $140 delivered. Items in Perth. Cheers, Tay

As topic states I have a NEC 412i mobile for sale. It's about a year old and in very good condition. Selling it as I need to upgrade to a PDA for work purposes. It's light and real thin - hardly notice it in your pocket. Probably doesn't do as much of the bling things as all the latest phones, but for someone who just wants a nice neat phone (as I did), this would be ideal. Comes with everything included in a standard pack. Look here for details and a review: http://www.imobile.com.au/PhoneReviews/def...=reviewsdec0521 $125 delivered. Phone is in Perth. Pm if interested. Cheers, Tay

I might be up for this provided I can get back to Australia in time (in freezing cold Norway at the moment) and then only if I can quickly get the car tuned/looked over as it is running like a pig at the moment. fingers crossed!

Hesitation/stutter As Soon As I Touch The Throttle
taynewguy replied to taynewguy's topic in General Maintenance
Hmm - you may have a point Al. I have set it back to 20 deg using a timing light and it is better but hasn't solved the problem completely. It was sitting way off - something like ~35 deg. Doesn't take alot of cas movement to be out 10-15 deg obviously. At least the massive numbers on the knock sensor are gone though. When it was running like sh!t, I saw numbers up to 100 and this is while driving like a grandma. Knock is back to normal (like 10-20max) after testing it out today, giving it a little bit of stick. Still not not happy with it. Although the remaining doubt may just be me being overly cautious and looking too hard for a problem. -
Hesitation/stutter As Soon As I Touch The Throttle
taynewguy replied to taynewguy's topic in General Maintenance
Yep that's exactly the problem - I say I have put the timing out due to moving the cas. Need a timing light to bring it back to the original position correct? most likely 20 deg at idle. -

taynewguy replied to taynewguy's topic in General Maintenance
yep just the cas. would have to be a real coincidence if it is something else. -

tmc_2: I am running MAP sensors that are like 3 months old at best. Is it possible that they would start to die this quickly? Any other suggestions?
