OH man that is shit! I mean not shit for you Niz that is good news but it's just frustrating for me given all the hassles I encountered. Boo hoo....I am going to go off and cry now I am covered by Torque for a reasonable premium though so I shouldn't complain.

Happy Birthday dude........now we can tell you these big ppl facts without feeling bad..... 1) the tooth fairy is your momma (sometimes your dad but lets not go there) 2) santa is not real 3) the only easter bunny worth waiting for is in playboy mags 4) sau spelling and grammer checker is coming to a thread near you! Now stop being a computer geek and go get wasted, shitfaced, clubbing etc etc (legally).

Not good to work on the car yourself if you have dicks for fingers like me - coz everything I touch gets f#$ked. No I'm not that bad but I happily pay for peace of mind if anything.
-
I have dealt with no-one else but Hyperdrive since I bought the car 18 months ago and don't intend on dealing with anyone else. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, trustworthy, etc etc . All mods, tunes have been spot on and I have been more than happy with the results. They have always made time for me, and gotten me back on the road as quick as possible when I have broken down. Its not to say that others are better or worse, its just to say that happy customers should be loyal to their workshop. Thanks Ken and Glenn. my 2c.

Damn that wing is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen. I too am interested in getting a stealth wing of some sort - but less so if everyone gets one haha. Still no indication of price? (removal of wing and fitment of smaller one + cover holes etc)
-
Yep I snapped one too, it's a real mission after that! I would definately let some WD40 (or some other lube) soak in a bit first.

Please sell your car to someone who deserves it. BOV on stock car just for the sound = loser. Use the money for more useful things - "PERFORMANCE PARTS" perhaps.

A quote from early on in the piece.............. WRONG!!

Riaz - Thanks for the advice, I did look into it and have spoken to a few people which have handballed me to a few other people and so on..........bit dissappointed with the whole affair but hey, I've got better things to do than persue this any further. I have gone with Torque - $1300/year to cover $20,000. Crisis over. Feels alot better driving around with insurance cover .

OK just got off the phone with CGU directly and they assure me their current stance on the issue is that they will not insure any import vehicles. They said if your policy slips through the cracks through a broker, then they are obligated to cover you for the term that was agreed to (in my case 12 months). Upon renewal, they have the right to refuse the policy. So it sounds like pot luck - depends who re-assesses your policy at CGU and how rigorously they check the details. All of which means dick to me now, coz sounds I am the bad luck case. Oh well.....I'll try somewhere else.
-
I didn't get any renewal but I knew it was due so I double checked and the called them. Hmm Ok I'll do some investigations, see what I can come up with. Free insurance cover....tell him his dreamin'
-
Yeah Niz, I'm pretty sure once your policy expires CGU won't renew it. EBM/CGU are pretty good, although my policy expires in less than a week (much less) and they hadn't bothered to inform me of these changes until I called them up today. Doing the big quote fest right now. Hopefully I can keep the premium around the $1000 dollar mark which seems to be the going rate.
-
Can anyone confirm this? I have been insured with CGU through EBM brokers for the last year and today I went to query them on my policy renewal and they reckon CGU is no longer doing import cars and they will have to search for other insurers. So far they have got "Torque underwriters" I think. Anyone heard of them?? And a $300 dollar increase on the policy too, great! No crash, no claims, higher premium. Damn this import game really sucks balls. Any feedback would be good, and other recommendations handy aslo. $1300-ish I am looking at paying at the moment. Cheers, tAy

My opinion for what it's worth. I have been running the power FC for a few months now and have been nothing but happy with the results. Everything works the same as it did with the factory ECU (air-con, cold start etc) and I get reasonable power with decent fuel economy. For a dedicated daily driver and only chasing modest power I think the power FC is a good option. As far as costs go though, I don't think it is necessarily cheaper when you factor in an AFM('s) and EBC on top. Disclaimer: I don't know much about either ECU, I just know I have had no probs with what I've got.

Holy sheit dudes, I totally forgot about the shirts - Umm I did order them but didn't pay for them, and then got called away for work suddenly. If you still have them I will pay and pick up on my return (in about a week), if not that's cool....sorry.
-
Either way, I'll get one of each also.
-
Can I get a blue one of those button up ones or not? Red doesn't suit the color of my eyes.
-
Yeah I've got it back up and running now. New pump and a second hand radiator (new radiator was too pricey $$$$$$$) I work north of the river so Hyperdrive do all my work. Ken and Glenn never let me down.
-
crack: Oh wow....OK it's not just me then, my situation is almost identical.
-
Radiator bit the dust also and the fan was slightly damaged but still usable.
-
solved cheers anyway
-
Desperately need a secondhand radiator for an 1993 S1 R33 GTST manual. If anyone has one please let me know ASAP. Cheers, Tay

My water pump failed yesterday on the way home from work, after a modest launch off the line. The entire pump+fan has become dislodged from the motor. The water pump bolts and everthing are still in place but the middle section of the pump has been dislodged (along with some of the housing) and caused the fan to put a huge dent in the radiator...Damn! I have heard of the waterpump leaking etc but far out this was a pretty scary moment, water and steam etc suddenly gushing out of the bonnet. Has this happened to anyone before?? OK I'm off to rob a bank coz this is set to cost a few quid (a few I don't have at the moment).
