    R33 Gtr

LOL, totally agree. In fact I was thinking about the average prices for all the GTRs: R32 GTS - $6k - $8k R32 GTR - $13k - $18k R33 GTS - $10k -$15k R33 GTR - $21k - $27k R34 GTT - $16k - $22k R34 GTR - $33k - $39k Cars would be cheaper if - they are the first year models - they had rebuilds - had accidents - they have a lot of mileage - no record books (japanese) Really really rough guide as I've no idea about GTSes (so open for correction!). Skylines unfortunately don't retain their values like Ferraris, if they did their original owners would buy their own cars back. They don't.
  3. Yeah I'll do an FAQ when I'll get it done. Want to install a mesh for the front as my FMIC looks ugly!
  4. Everyone's got good points, even Sami, but like someone said sometimes good views aren't conveyed properly. You don't know what people are going through these days, if they are living off centrelink then so be it. I'm sure they would seek other options if given the opportunity. In the case of the single parent with 3 kids, how often have we heard of the father running off leaving everything to the mum? If only you had her problems, the last thing you would worry about is a car giving off a bit of smoke. Repair bills are incredibly daunting these days because people need to make a buck right? Like I said earlier let the authorities take care of situations like these and move on, you have no business in taking the matters into your hands if you do not have the authority or responsibilities. Anyway, I hardly see situations described like this, I see a lot of trucks though puffing black smoke, anyone have problems with that?
  5. Thanks mate.
  6. I don't think I wrote anything negatively about the sale, only that the car must have had a lot of money spent on it. I remember Leewah's car, there will be buyers for this sort of thing! What year is it?
  7. Its not that China didn't give a stuff about car safety, the roads there are terrible, crowded and accidents are limited to stupid pedestrian stuff. China does lead the world in road accidents however. That said, I knew about some of the brands they have including Great Wall for years and am still not confident in being in one. I'm also not keen in the Indian car TATA either. If China ever become instrumental in the auto industry it would be from buying up failing companies just like how India bought over Jaguar and Malaysia buying over Lotus. If China did end up buying over GM then we would have a very interesting generations of cars, possibly electric. For now I would look at the Korean brands like Kia and Hyundai, they've improved a hell of a lot in terms of reputation and their warranties are pretty good. Absolutely, but I'm not sure if it would rust that easily, its 2010.
  8. Wow great job! I've seen a fully wrapped '09 STI.
  9. This looks like a good car and great price, GL with the sale.
  10. I think it looks good, adds visibility in the car which is a good thing. I would be keen to see a pink skyline like this one but with a pearl : or a darker pink like this one : I would suggest adding something to put on your dash like the stuff on this car's side door : Takes away the drab black look and personalise it a bit more.
  11. Few people here are ever going to explore the full potentials of the R35 beyond the road and some track activities, even business garages wouldn't invest too much into it unlike those with huge wallets in Japan and America.
  12. Of course I read what you said, but its kind of vague to be saying that one car is supremely better in performance than the other without actually test driving either car in similar conditions. The R35 is the better bang for buck, so obviously more people will have opportunities to drive it. The R8 is on a different scale in both quality and price. Its target market is probably not on the track but for the road, hence its performance should be judged for the road. Exactly, they'll pick what feels better, based on that probably assumption the R8 is a worthy if expensive alternative appreciated by those who have tried a variety of high quality sports cars.
  13. Put $100k of mods in the R32 and you'll have a better and faster car than the stock R35. That should certainly make you feel better right?
  14. Thanks. I'll get those checked out. RB_ryan, all stock. When I slam on the brakes there's no skidding or sense of urgency. It could be the hoses or something other than the brake pads and rotors themselves.
  15. People will say look for a post 89, 90, 91, etc. Basically the newer the model the better the condition should be. Not totally true. I've seen 94 examples that looks more shocking than the first bunch that came out in 89. Before I got my R32 GTR I avoided 89 models because being the first years I thought they may have some initial teething problems as with any first year models. However, if there was a problem then most if it should have been already rectified by their original owners anyway. That said, getting a latter model would usually be better.
  16. Australia would try to do what the US is doing for illegally imported cars, except in America they would actually use some of the cars for police work. That said, it would be a complete waste of money disposing perfectly good cars if they can be used to serve more useful purposes. Don't fret guys, its after the 3rd offence, so if you accidently hoon then there's still hope for you to unhoon LOL

    Buying A R35

It is incredibly steep. I've no idea why people want to give the government so much money.
  18. Have you driven both cars? It sounds like people use brute speed to decide the best cars, what's the point of that on public roads? Look I love all GTRs including the R35, in fact I've been following it since seeing the prototype for the first time in Japan all the way to seeing the first few examples in the UK including the one tested by Top Gear. But the R8 is absolutely gorgeous and its a driver's car. Plus, the OP cannot afford it.
  19. Should he have been? Its like a very nice sports infiniti and $150k is a lot of money.
  20. I got someone to help me test the brakes on my car and he pointed out that they don't seem to respond as well as his GTS, given that his car is lighter I expect my car to give up a few inches. However it seems that my brakes really doesn't brake as well as his. I've checked my pads and they look fine, as with the rotors. What seems to be the problem? I've known about the brakes since I got the car 6 years ago and thought this was normal.
  21. Gunma isn't too far from Tokyo, lots of mountain climb, nice clean town and plenty of natural onsens.
  22. Holy smoke that's expensive. I'd recommend strait cafe in Wantirna, excellent Kway Teow and Hor Fun served by white girls
  23. Did someone say oysters?
  24. You mean tax payers which is us!
