  1. Depends on kms and overall conditions. I'd say $14-$15k simply because its an 89 model, the very first and most often the cheapest.

I see Larry Bird's Aussie bratha! Saw a few Skys today, gold R35 GTR heading towards Knox on Burwood HWY and black/white R33 GTS on MT Dandenong. All behaving very well and no mods out of place Meanwhile a XR6 ute and previous model SS tried to drag me today. Hoons.
  3. Are they open tomorrow? Any website details?
  4. Does anyone have pictures to compare these colours? Just wondering which one looks better on an R32.

Spotted the new "R35" GTR parked in a SE suburban area. I can't believe I went all the way to Japan to see the prototype when there's one right here LOL
  6. Sorry for the newbie question but can the same wheels/tyres be swapped between R32s and R34s? I want to get 18" for my R32 and want to reuse them when I get an R34.

Saw a very clean (ie. shiny) R31 last sunday on Maroondah hwy. Quite surprised to see a young driver behind the wheel as I didn't think there would be too many fans of the older skylines.

Haha, that Vin picture is pretty funny. I saw a fellow GM R32 GTR on Burwood HWY with stoplights on his rear spoiler, I'd like to know where you got that.
  9. It is working.
  10. I remember reading somewhere (there's a hell of a lot of post about Skyline economy on the net) of an R34 GTR that's doing under 13l/100km and fairly modified.
  11. That's what I mean.
  12. I guess I dig the extravagant and sharp lines of the more aggressive designs than the streamline version. The bulging wheel arches is a big part of that which the R33 has less of. I do agree that bigger shoes and a lower stance helps deliver the GTR aura a bit more. Black seems to be its best colour. The R33s are bargains now and obviously they are newer both inside and out. I would consider them if I really can't get an R34.

    Mag Wheels

Does anyone have experiences with Rota wheels, specifically the ones that looks like the TE37s.
  14. Picked a great day to start I'm looking into this as well and found this : http://www.karair.com.au/
  15. Why not? Direct links pls?
  16. Added my results, the R34s are better! GD2ILA's one must be either highly modified or he tracks it mid week
  17. Car: 1991 Nissan Skyline R32 GTR Gas of Choice: Shell V Power $ Per Tank: ~$80 Kilometers Per Tank (Based On Driving Area & Driving Style): ~450 mostly highway and suburban driving ~350 mixed driving
  18. I agree with the M3 sound. Sounds....whooshy. I prefer Hondas or the NSX by comparison. I do love the M3 though, great performance for an NA combined with the usual BMW luxury with plenty of space. Not sure if you can get a convertible here in Australia but there are quite a few in UK (and going at good prices too). Personally if I were to spend that much I would go for the AMGs from Mercedes specifically the E55. 1/4 mile in under 13 seconds that thing hauls. To add, I am very impressed with the Skyline 370GT, its a gorgeous looking car : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_49C4S3hdlI
  19. Oh BTW, is there a helpful list of EPA-safe parts as recommendation that we can refer to. I know it could be a bit hard since it may be based off personal experiences, could be helpful in the long run. I always assume that if a car is registered and has no problem in getting RWC then it should pass any kind of police or EPA inspection, but going by the stories here they don't inspire much confidence! Maybe something like this : Standard (all models) - yellow injectors (250cc or whatever stock is supposed to be) - ride height 15mm - standard boost (I wouldn't know) - Stock ECU (model xxxxx) - Stock exhaust (2"?) etc... R32 (specific standard components) - blah blah R33 (specific standard components) - blah blah R34 (specific standard components) - blah blah
  20. Thanks! I think the Timer definitely benefits the car in cooling down properly even for NA cars.
  21. I think going by full tank might be a better representative of the car's overall fuel economy since it will weigh differently when full,1/2 or 1/4 empty. I am much happier with the consumption I'm getting considering its a GTR though I do miss 500-600km that I got from NA cars.
  22. I got 465km or 13.97lt/100kms from a full tank in my R32 GTR but reckon I would get close to 500kms if I didn't gas it towards the end. This was mostly from easy driving and a couple of spirited ones, my usual style. I find that driving from a full tank gets me better economy than 1/2 or 1/4. Comparatively speaking with stock GTRs, would the R34 do better?
  23. I have the following in my R32 GTR - twin Apexi air filters - turbo timer My car is a personal import which I had and drove in Japan. When it was checked by an engineer to be passed for registration there were no issues. That was 5 years ago, has anything changed since then? Never been stopped but a bit worried as the rules seem to change a lot.
  24. I think the R32 looks better than the R33 and because it's cheaper you can do it up nicer and add some better parts for reliability (not that the R32 has problems). The R33 looks too tame to be a GTR, GTRs are meant to be masculine, mean and all business.
  25. That's the kind of car I want, and that's the price it should be, UK is more realistic than Aus for older GTRs.
