My car was keyed twice, on friday and last night saturday in an underground residential parking lot. Bent my plates too. Obviously someone wanted my parking spot more than I did. Not insured so will have to do the work myself.

As the owner of the world's slowest GTR (but very fuel efficient) and with a limiter set at 180kmh you guys can rest assure that it's not me!
-
This one was taken in Singapore wasn't it? I think it was one of the first one to be matted.
-
For me, boot space. My R32 GTR felt more usable as a daily than an R34 as it had a much bigger boot. Evo would crap over both of them for usable cabin space and boot!

Sorry to hear that dude, I know how passionate Americans are with their cars (they spare no expenses do they!). You can still get another one no worries given that you have insurance.

Note that although the light covers are clear, his globes are different from stock R32 globes I think (at least compared with mine).

Carbon Fibre Project R34 Gtr
MRSAMO replied to CosworthSti's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I know you're talking about the R34 but have you considered the R32 with the price saving and already lighter weight? Most track and drag owners use the R32 for the very purpose of going lightweight. Also, you don't have to replace EVERY part with a carbon counterpart, sometimes carbon isn't always better especially when compared to air ;-) Having said that, $10k is a great deal considering the asking prices of reprays around here! -
Wow HDR and motor racing Brockas, that AM is still gorgeous isn't it. Eric - NZ is the place for landscape photography!! awesome shots!

How Well Do You Know The R32 Gt-r. Godzilla?
MRSAMO replied to PR34CH's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
As quoted by GTRSean: Didn't count pre-R32 models. Here's another: "Did you know that the R32 GTR sits the lowest" (again only comparing R33, R34, R35). -
Well said.

Its just too funny listening to people trying to use cars as some kind of investment, rare or not. So what if that car has a rare factory paint job? Get a ding and pay even more to fix it up. No thanks. So what if Mr. Itoh once owned it? Mr what? I thought cars were meant to be driven, to be used, as the modern day horse. R32s can retain their value at most and then some depending on condition and amount of work, but expecting a rise in value as a trend is way too early to speculate. 240z were rust buckets too.

Firstly, many thanks to the organisers for this event, and a special big thanks to Ando (kidrock lookalike?) for allowing me to ride as a passenger for the day (Payment will be made via the SAU NSW account on monday thanks!). It was very well executed and didn't waste any time in getting into the action, kudos to the group for the organising! Had a great run with some of the kindly souls who let me ride as passenger, it was valuable learning how drivers create their lines for a good and solid run, and ultimately a fast lap. Also got to see how mistakes could be made by all kinds of drivers from beginners to pretty-good. Saw (and helped ) a 370z achieve a PB of 1:13.9 on the day, 1.1 seconds over his personal best. Ireckon he can go even faster with 80kg of me out of the car Would have loved a run in a group 1 car but missed out unfortunately. Next time I'm bringing my own car to the track ;-) Have met and seen some of Tenji's photos and they are pretty good, can't wait to see the ones he did of my car Here are some of the pitstop photos that I managed to snap up : Let me know if these pictures are loading slowly for you, I can change them to thumbnails.

How Well Do You Know The R32 Gt-r. Godzilla?
MRSAMO replied to PR34CH's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
This thread finally started! Here are mine "Did you knows..." 1. The HCR32 Skyline platform debuted in May 1989, producing 9 different versions. There was never a wagon version. 2. The R32 GTR was designed and developed by NISMO. 3. Naganori Itoh, the head designer, used inspiration from the Porsche 959 to develop the R32 GTR, which like the Porsche was only supposed to be a limited production build run. 4. The GTRs all had unique boxy and sharp lines, starting from the very first model which was called “Hakosuka”, which means “Box Skyline”. 5. The car’s racing pedigree was evident from the start. It was intended to be a 400-500hp race inspired sports car with a 2.4L RB24DETT engine. However AWD was eventually added, making the car heavier and thus requiring a bigger engine which we now know as RB26DETT. The engine however had to be detuned to meet the gentleman’s agreement among Japanese motoring manufacturers. 6. The R32 GTR’s 0-60mph time was only 6.2 seconds. However a couple of simple modifications would boost the power and speed to a blistering 4.6 seconds. 7. The R32 GTR would go on to become the most successful model in GTR racing history. 8. The R32 GTR is the most popular GTR ever sold, selling 43,930 units. 9. The most popular colour was white. 10. The RB26DETT was used in the following cars, R32 GTR, R33 GTR, R34 GTR, Stagea 260RS and Tommy Kaira ZZ II. 11. The previous best time at Nordschleife by a production car was by a Porsche 944 turbo at 8’45”, Nissan test driver Hiroyoshi Katoh reset the record with a time of 8'20". Best Motoring managed 8'22"38 probably by Gan-san as their driver. 12. The R32 GT-R dominated Japanese Touring Car Championship (JTCC), winning 29 races from 29 starts, taking the series title every year from 1989 until 1993. 13. It also took 50 races from 50 starts from 1991-1997 (latterly R33) in the N1 Super Taikyu. 14. Nissan produced 100 Australian models of the R32. 15. The R32 GTR made its debut in Australia towards the end of the 1990 Australian Car Championship and winning the Bathurst 1000 classic in 1991 and 1992, ending the previous foreign phenomenon, the Ford Sierra Cosworth. 16. Back in 1989, the R32 GTR started with 16” wheels. The Vspec version in 1993 was finally upgraded with 17” BBS mesh wheels. 17. Another Nissan came out at the same time as the R32 GTR, that was the Nissan Fairlady or 300ZX as it was called internationally. 18. The R32 GTR is the lightest of all the GTR models. 19. Gibson Motorsports ordered 4 R32 GTR road cars in October 1989. 20. The first public appearance of an R32 GTR outside of Japan was in November 1989 during the Australian Grand Prix in Adelaide where it was used as a pace car. 21. The GT-R is officially homologated for Group A racing in March 1990 but was officially raced in June by Mark Skaife where it beat the previous lap record by 2.4 seconds. Its output was 585hp or 436kw. J-Spec GTRs however were more powerful, running at around 600hp in competition. 22. The world’s fastest AWD to do the ¼ mile is an R32 GTR driven by Reece McGregor of New Zealand at 7.57 seconds (305.96km/h). -
How Well Do You Know The R32 Gt-r. Godzilla?
MRSAMO replied to PR34CH's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
July 1989, and there is controversy surrounding the nickname which was being thrown around casually among motoring circles until it became officially used by Wheels.
