  1. LOL all importers are nice. My advice is to ask around on the forums for feedback on - speed of service - punctuality - availability of information, pictures, history - walkthrough of the importing process from start to finish and duration Importers are the internet's car salesmen, they can only give you pictures. They can do a good job and may be helpful but you still have to treat them as people trying to make some money off you, both innocently and dodgingly. There are so many hidden variables that you are not aware of, missing or exchanged pieces, transport damage, dock hoons hooning in your car (yes it happens) etc. My experiences were not good.
  2. Contest it absolutely, not in spite of the law or the police but because you have a right to investigate the matter just as they do. Consider it as a business challenge, learn how to defend yourself legally. As for loss of memory etc, don't take it too hard it happens to a lot of people when they meet with a situation that triggers stress and become emotional and mentally affected by it. Sometimes this trigger is delayed and that's even worst. Support is key.
  3. I don't know how far Richmond is from Penrith but here's another interstater from the south
  4. Another thing, is NSW stricter than Vic in terms of policing and cars?
  5. Thanks guys for the feedback. I sense there would be more enthusiasts closer to Sydney than out, but if you are planning any blue mountain run then bring it. Matboy, the 1 hour trip to the nearest beach is a real damper, after all that's where the hot babes are. And to be fair to RB, everyone's experiences is different. Hope to meet up with some of you guys, cheers.

    Driving?

Tailgating, people following you home...it's happened to all of us. You see someone rock up besides you and then dodge traffic, buddy what do you want me to do? I don't think Australian drivers are any worst than all the other countries I've been in including UK. The roads here are wider, smoother and longer which encourages anybody, not just Australians, to drive too fast. That's my only gripe. But seriously OP put a sock on it, that was quite a whine.
  8. There weren't many Japanese exotics in China when I was there, I did see a few Mitsu GTOs driven by soccer players mainly but that's about it. HK, Malaysia and Singapore have freaking ballers that just makes you go sick, especially HK.
  9. Geez Terry why did I think you were Victorian?? Great stuff thanks. Shooting and Twisties sounds really good. I suppose nearest beach is Penrith lakes lol
  10. Aqua what??? Yeah it looks cool but prefer baseball. I'm looking for accommodation, good gym with a pool/spa/steam room and hook up with anyone into Skylines.

    Car Alarm

Now that wasn't so difficult? Thanks for that info.
  12. 6 figure for your car? Right.
  13. LOL, you can be my friend Nice car and clean.
  14. Hi folks, I may be moving to Penrith and would like some information about the place, workshops and so on. Thanks!
  15. Not at all. I guess the GTR experience is how you develop the car, which in itself is a relationship. Also, the R34 is not that much quicker than an R33 or R32, just remember they are all sports cars with the same engines. Given the list that you have, I'd take the M3 then AMG, but if I was to get a car and spend $50k of mods for it plus a trailer then I'd take the GTR, I can still save money. 4.9 seconds 0-100kmh and 12.9 1/4 mile time out of the factory it is already not a slow car and very functional as a daily. Adding some mods would really put the car beyond what most people can fathom, and it is very easy to do that. That said, can you think of any other car between $40k-$50k that's comparable to the R34?
  16. I own both a Honda and Nissan, Honda + feels a lot lighter + revs quicker and feels more responsive + you glide through the corners + cheaper to run - harder and more expensive to add more power - sometimes need a lot of work to gather up speed if you're not within its power band Nissan + feels a lot more solid, has more space + AWD, this thing would try and eat its way through the corners + turbos, easier to add more power - turbo lag - more expensive to run - heats up quickly - handling usually suffers at the expense of power They are both equally fun in their own ways, I couldn't decide which one is better since speed isn't a factor for me, but for daily driving it would be a Honda, to pimp around it would be the Nissan :-)
  17. LOL, after all the trouble the other guy took to photoshop the number plates off in the other photos.
  18. To be fair I think OP just got worried.
  19. LOL Charles "I'm a lonely driver"
  20. When I saw the first few pictures I only saw 5 or 6 Skylines, I thought was that all? Later I see more pictures, looks like a successful day out. Couldn't come as I've been down there twice already this year.
  21. Are you including the track leading to the steps? That's about 300 :-D
  22. Go for it mate. Just driving towards Knox city a few hundred metres from the station on the usual roads. Cop was behind another car who moved aside but I was the target in a skyline obviously during Operation "Take down". Happened during peak hours so not doing any sort of throttle practice. Popped the hood, asked the usual, seemed to know his stuff. 1.10 minute later he stopped a nice Supra, not sure what happened then but it did look low :-) Apparently the Knox and Rowville area nabbed the highest number of road offenders during the school holiday break.
  23. I'm not sure how it would work Terry. Hoons can drive anything they can afford, but it's usually the cheaper end of the scale than the other end where all the Ferraris, Porsches and BMs are. Our cars though can be just as costly to run and repair so that would bring our rep up a bit as car enthusiasts than just drivers. Membership of a club would be a good step to enhancing the Skyline image for so many reasons, for one, the club is accountable for all its members ;-) On a side note, just got stopped for the first time in 5 years (of course never pulled over in Japan), was confident that my car would pass the check and it did.
