^^^haha from what i gather is cars for this meeting still 660ft (barriers being used for clipsal) when they come back it will be full 1/4 for cars but yes 1000ft for top fuellers etc. not sure if that means that between 1000ft and the 1/4 that the track will be re surfaced there or not.

^^yep i hear you there. i could almost talk the other half into one with an auto though she doesnt like the stags or cubes but wants something styled like this. they would have to be high 20'S or above wouldn't they??

george or theo for me. they can put kill switches anywhere. (need to push a button somewhere (could be mirror switch window switch etc) while turning on ignition at same time

hope it gets over the line, so much better than the micra and Xtrail. not sure what it would be marketed against.

the exhaust exit on the ferrari and Mclaren doesnt seem to match with the rule: http://www.formula1.com/news/technical/2012/0/925.html both the mclaren and ferrari engineers must have measured it to within a bees dick of the rules. Mclaren have just added to the sidepods at the back where they stick out so they flow over the rear wheels. On the offical tech spec it shows the exit of the exhaust pretty much pointing to the centre of the car???

^^ im trying to find the comment he made regarding why it wont be full 1/4 anymore. the run off area is not long enough any more to comply with new ANDRA rules for top fullers as the cars have got faster but run off hasnt, it also has something to do with the house across the road which is directly inline with the run off area being to close now. that being said maybe street drags etc (all except top fuelers and doorslamers may run the full 1/4 in time if they get ANDRA approval. Racing Onn Promotions: Martin, unfortunatley we are not able to run group 1 at 1/4 mile, the cars are getting faster but the track not getting longer. Top Fuel, Alcohol, Pro and Top Bike in April will run 1000ft. (that is from his facebook)

cheers so far. ill wait till 12people respond then have to get email addys from the people so i can create team and send out invitations to the players. i found last year that if you don't get full teams of friends you end up with DR dream team and other organisers competing directly against you which isn't fun matt

not bad, and paul tracy in the GTR is carrying about 40kg more than taner. he has put on a lot of weight since leaving indy

Martin at this stage it will never get to full 1/4 again as not enough run off any more for ANDRA to be happy with. when the top fuelers come later they are only running 1000ft.

well said munro. ill be there with you when it happens. at this stage AIR will only ever be 1000FT as run off cant be made better. cars should be able to do a run and brake test to show scrutineers that modern cars with big brakes don't need a chute or huge run off.
