The aircon pump in my R33 died a few months ago, so I'm looking around for a working replacement in good condition. Note the aircon pumps do vary across Skyline models, so please check if the part number is an exact match to "506221-1102" Airconditioning Compressor ZEXEL Type DKV-14D Part No 506221-1102 Nissan Part No KLHOO-PAGRO PM me if you have one available. I'm in Melb the week of the 15thDec, so can pay cash if you are located in Melb. Otherwise via PayPal. Cheers, Blair

Ok, I'm sick of the crappy speakers in the front door and the lack of any other speakers! So I'm planning to put in 6" in the stock holes and maybe a removable sub box in the boot. Now while I'm at it I figured I'd replace the standard stereo cabling with something that has more shielding (probably coax). Has anyone done this before, and if so how big a job is it? - are the wires run internally? do I have to pull up the interior floor to get at them? - are the wires fixed in any way? - am I able to just tie the new wire to the old wire and just pull it through? [don't laugh this works really well on yachts :-) ]

While I'm saving up for a full re-spray & colour change I need to do something to protect my R33 from rust, and make it a bit less emarrassing to drive... I've got a number of paint chips on the passenger side, an odd coloured spoiler (both front & rear), and a large high-flowed patch on the driver's side door. So I'm aiming to get some colour-matched (wine-red) 2pak paint and blend the obvious flaws away from the casual glances, and then put on a final clear coat over the whole car. I've got a friend who used to be a auto-sprayer and he's willing to spray it for free, so I'm just left with prep & paint costs. So what do I use for prep if want to cut the clear coat to remove any minor scratches? And what do I use in the areas to be blended (filling paint chips & preping the high-flow)?

Thanks guys. Yeah I had a chat with one of my J teachers and recommended Shiga for skiing and Nozawa for Onsen. I'll definitely scouring the web for more info....not to mention cheap places to stay ;-) Which leads me onto the next question, would a Rail Pass be suffient to get around these places or is it car only traveling due to big pointy things called mountains?

Ok, nothing to do with skylines but I'm thinging of going next winter with a mate. Probably somewhere in the Nagano region. We'll probably stay at/near an Onsen resort too - would be fun to drag him around in a happycoat completely blind drunk and with only me and my 1.5yrs of Japanese lessons :-) I was wondering if anyone's had any experiences/recommendations they's like to share?

what are the stock skirt & fbars made out of?
HappyPuppy replied to HappyPuppy's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Wow, thanks! That's just the type of info I was looking for. A big gold star for you :-) -
So what are the stock skirt & fbars made out of? The reason I'm asking is I need to repair some cracks. Everyone says to fiberglass it up. But if you use the wrong resin, all that hard work is just going to come off when the road gets a little bumpy. I know epoxy only sticks to epoxy, and for polyester and vinylester you should their respective resins... Anyone got any ideas?

FS: R33 left Tail-Light unit
HappyPuppy replied to HappyPuppy's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Thanks :-) $200 is the standard 2nd hand price that I've seen, and $300 for headlights. So I don't think it's an unreasonable price. -

I'm in Melbourne and interested in the stock R33 steering wheel (non-airbag). Do you have any pics? or a description of it's condition? Cheers, Blair
