  1. Cloaky's Stagea is the Autech 260rs model I believe? You don't see it around much these days but generally gets out to the drift events, or sometimes you find it at random intervals outside the Labella stores.
  2. This is the thread I used to fix mine mate (http://bit.ly/dcMcwi). I would say that you should make sure you have a vice, a few flat head screwdrivers and gloves before you attempt to pry it apart. Took me a good hour of bashing and scraping to actually get into the damned thing. Also, when you're trying to get your hands up to reach the screws, as stupid as it sounds, get on your hands and knee's outside the door and reach in, don't bother trying to lay on your back and bend your arms backward to reach it like I did for ages before the missus showed me how it's done (only mildly embarrassing in the long run).

I'll be there with a couple of mates, looks like it's going to be an epic event
  4. I realise you probably already know this, but in case others missed it. There's more details on the Mercury site here. The important bit of it is: "Accident Investigation officer-in-charge Sergeant Rod Carrick said speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash. Sgt Carrick said alcohol and drugs also did not appear to contribute, however a blood alcohol and drug test had been conducted on the driver." Horrible this kind of thing happens, but in this situation it looks like the driver isn't the only one at fault, especially where they were hit (here). I've personally run across in that place several times because the lights are irritating (only has crossing lights on one side of the road), and when I used used to drop my wife in town for work I constantly had people crossing in front of me and had to slow down to a crawl to avoid hitting people. It's these idiots (here) that give us a bad name
  5. Being from the south I'm not up for a short straight cruise after driving up the midlands highway for it, something which goes half way around the state sounds awesome to me, I'm willing to drive up to the start and just stop back off at Hobart half way. It would make for a pretty epic day, and people don't need to go the full trip if they don't want to. That being said, the east coast I've done to death, I'd love to find some nice roads up on the north west, perhaps even cutting back through the lakes.
  6. P-plate friendly = turbo/non-turbo in Tassie
  7. I just went for a 2 hour cruise with a mate who owns a completely stock Daihatsu Charade last night, completely miss-match cars in power and handling ability, and I had a complete ball. Sure I had to slow down to what was probably a more sensible speed for some of the corners and couldn't thrash it on the straights, but the actual act of driving with another car enthusiast gets me every time, no matter what they drive. I don't see how having any type of car (nissan or otherwise) on the cruise could detract from the experience at all, if someone had a school bus that they were excited about, wanted to mod out or just generally talk about, I'd be all in for a drive. (Okay the school bus may detract from the cruise a little, a bit of an extreme example). I just want to drive, have fun, and talk about cars or what has happened on the cruise when we stop, as long as the people are good quality, I couldn't give a s#!t about the cars quality. Sometimes a crappy car produces an amazing driver or amazing ingenuity, I'm interested to meet people with both.
  8. Yeah I'd definitely be up for a cruise, been checking out these forums for a while and was surprised not to see any. I'm from the south now but I grew up in the north east so a big fan of both the Sideling and the Weldborough pass, awesome driving roads. As long as I'm free the day this is on and mojo is running I'll be there, possibly with a few mates. That being said there are some awesome driving roads down south as well, which I'd love to drive with some other people, but I'm sure Funz could give us all the down low on the best driving roads down here. Perhaps we could map out a plan with google maps (remember to use the "link" button, or others wont be able to load it correctly) to map out the entire route, and set some stopping places like the weldborough hotel and the like (great people/place and heaps of parking)? For those of you who don't know the sideling: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&sou...e=UTF8&z=11 and for those of you who don't know the weldborough pass: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&sou....15398&z=13
  9. Actually, speaking of problems... Had some Bstrd key the bonnet of my car a couple of months back, does anyone happen know of someone who can do a cheap (but decent) patch up of the paint on the front? She's standard factory white so I doubt finding the colour would be difficult.
  10. Bought a new power window mechanism for my R33 drivers side a few weeks back, got it installed and it failed miserably (fine until it had weight on it going up, then just grinded horribly). Luckily managed to get the existing one un-jammed so it's good for a bit, but sent the replacement back and got another second hand part, just went to install it today and it has the exact same problem as the last one The crappy thing is I'm not even sure it's a different part, the markings on the mechanism seem veeerry familiar. Other than that she's going beautifully, took her in for a service/check up a few weeks back and no real problems found, had her for over a year now and have had next to no problems (which I wasn't expecting at all).
  11. I think I know the one you're talking about, I've spotto'd it a bit in the last few weeks, drift wing with a slightly smashed in rear on one side? Have chucked a few waves as normal but haven't had any back. Nice looking car
  12. Spotto'd Funz in Kermit and a guy (I'm assuming Mr. Untouchable?) in his dark grey/silver R33 at the round about near the fork in the road today, and a nice white series 2 R33 a bit further down the road. Attempted to get an arm out the window for a wave but my drivers side is stuck closed
  13. The front bar has a bit of damage where it looks like it's curled under the car and the bonnet looks a little bit long on the body (but I think that's just aggressive styling) as you can see in the picture. Either I'm seeing ghosts or she's back on the road with any major front end damage fixed and a patched paint job. Pretty damned sure of the days I saw her, as I was scuttling back from work in the blistering sun attempting to look like less of a blob of sweat (being Tasmanian anything over 25 degree's is like an oven to me).
  14. Never seen it in the flesh, only in his signature (which doesn't show a huge amount). I'll take a look around on here for some higher quality pics and keep an extra sharp eye out for it out on the street. Sounds like a horrific crash with the blue 33, I had no idea... Horrible to see yet another one go to waste Going to stop spamming and busy myself elsewhere for a while as this is hardly spotto-ing
  15. Bloody hell Funz, that was the quickest reply known to man. Damned nice looking 33, had to stop and drool on it a couple of times and then eventually took a few photo's. Seems like a nice enough guy, he managed to get his whole arm out the window for a wave as I went past in traffic.
  16. Spotto this light blue R33 with a R34 front in Battery Point on my walk home from work every day for the week before Christmas, never seen it before or since. Anyone know who owns this?
