Yesterday I wanted to suss out whether my coilpacks had any obvious signs of giving up. My car had developed a hesitation from around 4500rpm to 5500 rpm which was annoying but otherwise didn't really affect performance. Anyway I hadn't banked on simply taking the cover to be as big a pain as it is and ran out of time to take the coilpacks out and/or inspect/replace the spark plugs. The coilpack cover didn't appear to serve any major purpose other than to possibly lower the heat getting so left the cover off and reattached everything. Anyway this morning driving to work the car drove well while still in cold start but as the car warmed it seemed to miss a bit when just cruising at 60 in 4th. It wasn't a major issue and work is very close. On the drive home it did the same thing only problem is it's warmer midday as well as there being much more traffic meaning bit longer commute home. Therefore as the car warmed up the issue got worst and worst I never tried to boot it but it got to a point where only very small throttle could be used otherwise the car would go nowhere. My guess was that some part of the coilpack cover is used for grounding but after inspecting it I can't seem to find this to be the particularly due to the fact the cover is plastic. Is this my coilpacks having given up altogether suddenly? I don't think there is anything loose or unplugged have double checked that. Seems strange it gets a lot worst with the motor warmed up compared to cold.

Tyre Pressure For A R34 Gt-T
Marcus89 replied to ausreptiles's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Is the 595SS max pressure really that low? Pretty sure most of my tyres have had max pressures of 45-50 -
Holy crap I wish I could have these

Hr34/hnr34 Same Coilovers As Ecr33
Marcus89 replied to 8110's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Nah they have longer struts than the GTR the GT r34 will have same suspension as r33 GTST exactly. R34 GTT rears are different cause they use the same mounts on the rear although the fronts are the same as a GT or GTST. -
Hr34/hnr34 Same Coilovers As Ecr33
Marcus89 replied to 8110's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yes they do -
Thanks for that mate. I have heard most people don't bother with platinum and actually prefer using copper plugs and replace them more often. Haha that thread is awesome epic story man definitely a top rap for Matt Spry also never heard of a shop doing something like that for a customer

I had massive hassles selling my r34 for a price I was going to be happy with so I sold my s14a drifter instead and gonna build the 34. The skyline is a much better car IMO anyway it's just the s14a was all built ready to go
-
Ah ok yea i was little unsure about that. I'll change my plugs and if that doesn't sort it get some new coilpacks

Hey, My r34 recently developed a hesitation around 5krpm to around 5500rpm and I believe it is most likely the afm. Is there anyone in Brisbane area that has a spare afm or working one that I can test to see if this is definitely the problem? Let me know would like to confirm the issue asap should be a 6 pack in it for whoever helps. Thanks

Marcus89 replied to S1LV3RTRACKS's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Unless r34 4 door suspension is different then they will fit. Want a decent amount of base height adjust-ability but as the front shocks are much shorter than gtt ones -

This is a 180sx that he did the work on http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....=591335&hl=. This has been fixed with an s14 speed sensor $12000 Located Southside Brisbane

Awesome point here. I try not to fanboy for any side but I do like my Nissans the only Toyota that really peaked my interest was the Late MK4 supras with the better brakes ect. There's more nissans I would prefer to own but I realise that the JZ engine is superior to a RB particularly in stock form. So what doesn't bother me sure that JZ motor could make more power than my neo RB25 on stock bottom end am I going to spend the coin to push that kind of power anyway? no so I'm not gonna care. Why can't we keep crapping on the Holdens and Fords (except xr6t their awesome) cause at the end of the day when I go for a cruise I love it when there is a mix of different wicked imports such as Rx7's, EVO's. Rexies, Skylines, Silvias and Supras all cars I'd love to own just for different reasons don't/won't.

You know vl's and silvias are very similar in weight. Silvias ~ 1250kg vl (depending on which one) 1250~1350 -
Not really fwd sr20det's would be easier

These 2011 model GTR's are the ones that are supposed to be able to do 3.0 seconds 0-100km/hr launches yea?
-
Hmm i'm lucky this issue doesn't appear to affect r34's my driveway is fairly steep and i have been able to start the car fine even when it's gotten down to a level with the light on
-
Think that's in reference to the non return flow coolers not the return flow JJ cooler

Best Way To Lower An R34 Gtt
Marcus89 replied to Jayden.K's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
On a GTT it will fit all the way round. on a GT or a 33 GTST it won't fit the rears. The fronts are also a lot lower but the rears will be same height -
R34 Gtt Front Shocks And Springs
Marcus89 replied to mature gent's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Not really i've done it multiple times jacking up one side at a time -
I would go the EVO 6.5 or the EVO 8 (MR if you can afford it) From what i have heard the evo 6 interior is pretty nasty but they would be such a fun drive
