Rb25Det Overboosting - Creeping, Not Spiking
Marcus89 replied to Brent's topic in General Maintenance
If the actuator isn't opening properly then he would be having massive boost spikes. Would be more a case of the actuator not holding closed properly but then like someone posted above if he is still running the stock boost control solenoid then it could just be normal -
Have my g2.5 on the car given it a bit of a drive. Seems very good but can't get up it properly till tuned yet . I highly recommend Hypergear to anyone interested in upgrading their turbo. My turbo was an old used one I got off another member which was stuffed. Sent it down to Stao and he replaced everything (except housings) for around $400 and he also updated the rear housing to 0.82B for no extra cost on top. I know I wasn't the easiest customer to deal with but he was always professional and helpful so a big thumbs up from me looking forward to a safe 270rwkw

These have been sold sorry -
Cartel does very good priced kits. I got this one recently really good quality piece of kit: http://shop.cartel-aus.com/Thermostatic-Basic-Oil-Cooler-Kit-DWEB016.htm I would add him on facebook cause he did post up a cheaper relocation oil cooler kit than the one on the page just recently. I didn't want relocation but did want a thermostat so I went with that kit

His products already have a good name so no he won't have any problems with keeping business up but if people allow him to bully them into gaining positive feedback then his customer service will continue sucking hard. What Nisskid has done is very good and hopefully more people will do the same. I haven't dealt with Kando dynamics or their products but it would be nice to know if decide to buy their product down the line there would reasonable after sale support.

Tax Time! Post Cool Stuff You Bought

The zalman clip on mic works perfectly well for me and means you get a much better sound for yourself who cares about the quality of the mic as long as the people your talking to can hear you clearly enough. I don't get to buy any fun stuff cause my turbo blew yay Also does anyone else accidentally hit the report rather than quote button when trying to quote someone? Could just be me but I am used to the quote button being on the left -

Heard far too many major issues with the few people I know with these cars

They are just Bosch ev14 injectors (3/4 size to suit neos) You can pick them up a lot cheaper if you look at other listings. I am guessing that since they say it is a bolt in kit that this one has adaptors for the plugs to suit the nissan loom that's the only thing I need to do with mine is modify loom to suit as mine still have the USCar connector. Finished reading the listing they do have the Nippon/Denso fitting so would be easier to install but they cost a good $100 more than the ones I got

How To: Bosch 040 Fuel Pump In R33 Skyline Si / Sii
Marcus89 replied to DRFT33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
That sounds like a good idea. I am able to drive my car on the light for a while with the pump installed how it is but it scares me so won't let it ever get as low as I use to (when i was lazy about getting fuel or tight on money) -
I am going to get the car fully tuned basically straight after injector install I would just prefer to drive it to the tuners. I thought it would be possible to do a basic tune or even a map for larger injectors that nistune people have already put together just to limp it there?
-
How do you like daily driving the button clutch? is that cushion button so you can have some slip with it? I'm still tossing up between going their organic or button will only be putting out 270rwkw when tuned and car is mostly daily driven just when I do drift it I want to know kicking it won't be an issue. I also don't drive heaps or cop lots of traffic driving so I don't think a button clutch would be a major problem but do like drivability at same time cause i'm a big girl

Nah they won't i believe they have different mounting holes -
I am planning to install injectors soon and was hoping someone local to me (Southside Brisbane near Garden City shops) may be able to help me out. Basically I'd like someone who has nistune software and cable to just adjust my already Nistuned ECU to suit the 550cc injectors and possibly the z32 afm (although this isn't really required already adapted both afms and wiring with crimp on plugs for easy swap).
