  1. Hello people. After 1.5years of saving, 3 gt-t test drives, endless hours scanning car sales.... it has finally been purchased!!!! Vehical: First owner in australia (fresh import) 1998 R34 GT-T 83,000 KM'S White Manual Side Skirts Turbo Timer All new Yokohama Radial Tyres Thats what it has... as for the condition ... WOW! i have lookd at many r34's mostly private sellers and they where never as nice as this. It is so clean/neat/stock it even has the original tape deck player lol... Ill give you a run down what i whent through on price / haggle for people who are intersted. It was advertised at 18,999 Drive away. I managed to get: 18,500 drive away. 100,000kms Full service done no charge. 5,000kms Regular service had been done a day before i got there (and as me/my mechanic checkd the car) it was obvious the oil/filters etc where new) 12month national platinum warrenty included (was not included as advertised) the car was going to be if i got it from a private person about $17,250 then u throw on your 1-2k transfer/government fees.... not to mention i got it as the first person in aus so all the import papers would need to be found and all kinds of shit. the car came with all papers even had original photos of it at the auction in japan and it lookd just as good there as it did in the yard. Also, i said to him i am very keen at this price/deal we have arranged but to seal the deal i will require a racv check done and if it gets the O.K i will purchase it. As i find out.... racv dont do checks on imports (mainly skylines lol) so i had to go elsewhere, i said to him if you can pay for it and it checks out you got a deal and if it fails well then its his loss of money. SO! all going well (check is been done on wednesday) and i did notice the oil pressure guage in the middle wasnt working. He fixes that and check is all good i will have myt very first r34 gt-t!!!! After all my experience i must recommend going through a dealer/importer. This guy had been in the buisness since 1992. and was extremely friendly/laid back very honest etc... He was so confident in it been a good car he was willing to pay for the check to be done... that says alot. The company also said they havent had to give him a bad defect on any of his imported cars. And last of all, a big thanks to all skylineaustralia for helping me and the advise (even if i didnt follow it) every little bit of info helps. When i pick up the car photos will be posted. and ill be happy to help any car clubs around looking for new members etc. modding will begin shortly most likely... as i can get a full custom exhaust fitted : ) for a real decent price. Thanks all ! ----------------------------------- That was at the end of my last post incase people where interested.... but yeh i pickd it up on saturday so happy with it nothing wrong at all if people what i can send them the state roads report (perfect) but here are the pictures

  3. boomp~
  4. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/dealer...6&silo=1011 What does everyone think? its a little pricy for what it is... Altho it does include drive away and possible warrenty. Stock as a rock... if i could talk them down $500 - $1000 could be a goer? how hard is it to find the nismo kit tho?
  5. yeahhh i know howie its just the small things that start adding up like i want a spoiler on it too sorry dude but i love what u have done iwth the kit pretty much what i want but include the standard wing : )
  6. hey craw, NICE R34!!! that is pretty much what im chasing. except there are 2 problems 1. its in SA.... 2. Price is to much... if i was in SA and had 22500 id buy it then and there as i said my MAX is 20k.... ready to drive.
  7. damn it howie that is almost ideal except for the tiptronic/adelaide part
  8. Hey people! Finally hit my savings goal the other day and are looking for a R34 GT-T in vic/melb. Willing to pay 17-20k (depending on the vehical and owner of course) Please no over the top mods... i am after a fairly stock r34 but if you have what im after ill be keen, here is a list of what i plan on getting. These are the performance mods i will settle with i dont want anything over the top. Full 3" Turbo back exhaust Electronic boost controller Pod filter ecu tuned properly. Lowerd suspension. These are the cosmetics i will settle with. black rims nissan (aero?) factory body kit with stock spoiler.. hate that over the top thing. can have the front bar only ill settle for that as its really what im after. Please dont offer much else apart from what i have askd as i have limited money. Importers/car dealers are welcome if you are in melb and fully legit. i will be prepared to pay 19-20k for a mint condition with drive away no more to pay. 20k is my absolute max including all fees ready to drive. so please dont ask for much else. please no dodgy skylines as i will have a mechanic with me apon inspection. Thanks for your time in reading and feel free to send me a msg if you have the right r34!!!! Cheers, Adrian.
  9. becauase im getting alot of msgs off people i kinda need to get my post count up to 10 so excuse the spam What is your opinion on importing also? seem to be getting some msgs from people on here who are keen to do buisness.
  10. Yeah the thing is i dont have a big wallet lol HOPEFULLY 18/19k on the road then 3-4k mods. Might have to do some shopping around calling up telling them what i want see who will do the better price. back to reading i go.
  11. Damn... so much shit to read up on heh! Other question i have whilst im finding what to do and what not to do... is there a recommended installer ? i work right next to the melbourne performance center i have also heard of this skyline specialist called racepace or something. As i would prefer to hopefully walk in and say i want this and this or would u recommend this over this get a decent price fitted and installd... or if there prices on parts are over the top i will get my own.... mostly the big things i will get done ie: exhaust... and tuning.
  12. wow... thanks alot for the replies people. yeah i wasnt really sure on the ECU.. im still thinking i will need to take it to a tuner after i do the mods so its not running rich etc.. what did you mean by "you can probably get awaay with out a big fmic but they do look seexxyyyy" the big fmic part.... heh yeah sorry i did mean the boost controller i am leaning towards a electronic one. All starting to make sense now, not sure on the intercooler tho.. ill have a read on the dump pipes thanks for that info, also since i have been looking around i have heard about the coilpacks... may pay to replace them first up. One thing im still a bit iffy on is the body kit... is the factory nismo front that hard to find? ideally i think id like to get the front and skirts not that big a fan of the bumper and definatly not a fan of that thing on the back hehe. 18" wheels do sound nice too What is your opinion on buying the car btw? am i better off to go stock and do what i want.. or try wait it out and find something with what i want already done? i think id be better off buying a stock one with maybe exhaust or something... could get expensive if i buy one with someone who has put mods on that are not exactly genuine. Thanks alot for your replies !!
  13. Hey guys!~ over the next 4 weeks im going to be out looking at a R34 GT-T to buy for my very first skyline . My question to you guys is what kind of money is in modding... now im not a full on MUST GO FAST type of person but i know what i want. Mainly i want to know the price for the parts fitted and all that majority of people are going to charge so i can base my budged on that as if i get a stock one i want some money left over so i can mod it. Here is what im interested in. Any advise on what i should or shouldnt get would be very appreciated. Nissan Factory "nismo" bodykity - i believe its this one, i love it for the front bumper but the STUPID LOOKING rear spoiler that i see on most really puts me off : ). Tinted Windows. Not sure on rims yet (size that is) im getting a white r34 to put black rims on... really like the look of them. Turbo back full exhaust 3" i hear is best dump pipe/flow cat/muffler back. Pod filter - i will probly get someone to put this in and fabricate a heat shield. (or what ever ya suggest) Electronic Boost Guage - electronic seems the safest way to go, up to 10psi seems most reliable. ECU - POWER FC - really not sure about this side of it... if its really needed but im guessing if iput the exhaust/filter/boost up im going to need to tune the ecu. I have around 22k all up i was hoping to land a mint condition stock/little work done for about 18/19 k drive away. Any advise is appreciated and thanks for your time in reading
  14. Hey people, im 23 and looking to buy my first real car and have had my heart set on a R34 GT-T since i first got my new job. Prepared to spend $20,000 all up on the car... really have my eyes on the following (from what i can gather a r34 can offer) http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...9&silo=1011 (sorry bout the long spam only way to copy paste car sales links) I really like the body kit that is on that i have seen the front on a few r34s now .... seems to be a nismo/aero front or something... ideally id like a white one with that kind of body kid with black rims... not really looking for anything done up (bit worried about it been thrashd and all) and most mods do look a bit over the top... if anyone can give me any pointers on buying a r34 gt-t for the first time please speak up.... as im totaly new to the scene either what to look for or who to go through (private, import, dealership etc) ..... also what kind of money ALL UP im going to be looking at.... insurance etc... any advise is well appreciated as hopfully by late jan/feb i will have one in my garage thanks in advance! Adrian.
