I will be doing the exhaust at some point but for now I was just looking at increasing the boost at lower revs. Rather than remove the 2 stage boost by grounding the stock solenoid valve, I figured I'd fit a manual boost controller to do the same thing and therefore removing the solenoid all together.
I understand the exhaust can take the 7psi doing this but I was wondering if it could take a little bit more - up to say 9 or 10psi.
I realise I won't get the maximum benefit from increasing the boost if I keep the standard exhaust, but will keeping the standard exhaust actually cause any problems?
I generally don't drive the car very hard but I would like the increased power in the lower rev range.
