I have an older ZWNAV 12" in my v36 sedan. Best thing I ever did with it was ditch the stock launcher and install Nova Launcher from the play store. I have the same issue with the screen & sunglasses. I remember reading on a message board somewhere that someone made a screen protector that fixes it. If I come across it again i'll post.

At the time, the most help I received was actually from Infiniti Melbourne. They sourced the update and provided it to nissan, and then Nissans Techline applied it remotely. Andrew Taylor from Infiniti was the legend behind it all, along with Clint Robertson. This was a long time ago now, you could try is email [email protected] and ask him about the 2008 ECU update he helped facilitate in 2014. If you do speak with him, let him know Im still incredibly grateful for his help.

Was sitting idle the other day and heard a pop, then saw a heap of white smoke. Turns out the plastic coolant bleeder valve gave way. I've already bought an aluminium valve and OEM coolant. The hoses though aren't in great shape, and they're starting to crack as Im messing with them to get all the plastic pieces out. Can anyone recommend/link somewhere in Aus I can get a pair of new hoses for 08 pv36 vq35hr. Silicon or OEM, not fussed.

I saw a video of someone replacing the Y pipe with a custom fab X pipe to solve it. Do you think that might be a better option to a pair of resonators? Or maybe even both?

Just an update. Got that part in, plastic was brittle and one of the clips broke pretty easily. Still went together fine, and my fans are running as they should now

So I went with Invidia catted pipes. The Rasp is awful. The whole car sounds like shit now lol. Following this as Im having the same issue at the moment. I didn't realise they were on for so long, now one of the motors squeaks as it winds down when turning the car off. I was looking at one from a 2011 wreck, but the yard is taking forever to give me a price lol.

No it didn't work at all. The next day it started again. The filters were blown with air after a service about a month ago. Pulled them out the other day, didn't notice any over the top oil. My pinging has been happening for a couple of years. But this year its quite bad. Only ever used 98 since purchasing about 10 years ago.

Yep, it was labeled QX56.

Have them a good clean and left them to dry for a few hours. Thought it had worked, but no. Today is like 28 and there's that rattle again Do I need a scanner to check O2 sensor next? What comes after that, gallery gasket?

Note, I put an expired sim card in the screen and its acquiring the time within a minute or so now.

I recently installed one of the 12.1 tesla screens in my 08 V36 (Nav, bose, rev & side cam) that I bought on Amazon (SHRZR i think the brand was). I msg'd the seller first with my car details and they sent me extra harnesses, but no instructions. The 6gb of ram and 128gb internal storage is excellent, nothing lags, I've installed poweramp, waze, Newpipe and Novalauncher plus widgets etc... All very snappy. Installation was a fkin pain, but I think that was mostly my inexperience. It was hard to find support/information on it because there are SO many different chinese headunits. The firmware was barebones and missing features listed in the add. But installing Novalauncher fixed pretty much everything software wise except one thing. This unit aquires the time by gps or phone signal, which ever is available. Both antenna are weak. So on a rainy or cloudy day, it can take almost 10 minutes to display the correct time & date lol. I bought one of those android tesla screen thingo's. I've managed to get most of it up and running, but I am struggling with the normal issues in the 12inch model of no reverse/side cam and no hazard lights. I've also somehow damaged something in the gear stick that recognises the Park position.

Replacing the headunit in my V36 and there's a TV receiver. The original TV button just brings up static. Anyone know if this is safe to remove? Also does anyone know what this yellow RCA cable goes to? Is it side/rear cam? Cheers

I have this issue with my 08 v36 sedan that has only had 98 in it last 10 years, and Im pretty sure my mechanic puts k&n in when servicing. Could it really be that simple? I've been shopping around to get it fixed, but being so cold in Adelaide, it doesn't make the noise.
