WTB R33 front shocks, cheaper the better, with or without springs. Have GTR front shocks which are to low with my rims/tyres. I was looking on Ebay for some bonnet scoops/vents and found this molded reverse vent on a 33 that looks a lot like most of the CF bonnets around. Has anyone used these before? Looks like a solid kind of rubber or plastic that bends to your bonnets shape. I won some R33 gtr front shocks on ebay (trying to replace my leaking shocks cheaply) Bid on them and never got around to reading up weather they'd fit HAHA! Found some posts saying no they wont fit, found some saying they do but are real low, others saying custom mods required.. Does anybody have any information on this? Thanx in advance >>Sam

Heya everyone It's come time for my R33 series 1 to go as I'm in desperate need of boot space and a 4 door. 1993 with 106,662k on the clock. Gun metal grey with a GTR spoiler (also have GTR rear pods not painted or fitted) 2,000k's ago engine had major service and also new rear brake pads. Just replaced o2 sensor. Mechanically stock as a rock and runs beautifully, never ever skips a beat after all the work biggrin.gif Has a 3" exhaust, haven't been underneath to see what kind. Sounds real deep and growly but no where near over the top <3 Has 17" R34 GT rims with 80-90% tread. One rim has a 1 cm scratch at the very rim of the.. rim. Cusco front strut brace. Kenwood head unit (KDC-MP333) Fusion 6.5's in the front, Fusion 6x9's in the back. Real kick (Plastic grill on one has warped from sun slightly) I'm the second Australian owner, have import & regencey papers. Was imported and stored for a while, then taken by friends Mrs and used as her daily for driving the little one around. Since I've had it, it does 400k's a fortnight. Paintwork has some small chips along the door lines from inconsiderate drunks opening their doors on my car. There is a dent in the drivers side door next to the handle and 3 verticle scratches next to it. Rear bumper has a smudge on the left side from a car only just hitting it in a carpark. Interior has 3-4 minor scratches in that rubber coating around the gear stick from me trying to fit a LCD tv in the passenger seat tongue.gif Apart from that paint, body, interior is beautiful Only problem I have with the car is a HICAS issue where turning ignition off then on again quikly after a lengthy drive results in heavy steering. The most reliable option is to install a lock bar which I'll be doing, or i'll knock the cost off the sale price. Hey man just curious about the blue LED's and installing into dash. They look different to other dash lights I've seen. Do they just plug in behind the cluster? Also do you have any photos of the blue parkers? What would total cost of 1 pair of blues to 5014 ?? Probably grab one pair first then another 6 for dash & auto gear knob later. Thanx alot >>Sam

Has anyone found a working solution to this yet? I've been trying to figure it out for many months and have found one peice of info not mentioned here. The hicas light on after switching ignition off then on again (for me) seems more heat related. During summer it would happen 100% of the time, but now that its much colder, the car needs to be driven for longer to heat up more before I get the above mentioned hicas problem. Leaving it sit for 30-45 minutes lets the car start normally. I had a hicas scanner plugged in with the light on and no communication, no communication with light off either. Mechanics replaced Hicas and tried to scan but with no luck. Scanner still kept saying "Can not communicate" So unfortunately for me I still have no power steering after turning ignition off then on again. btw, hicas light @ 80kmph is (usually) steering sensor coil in the steering column.

Another update, Synergy put another HICAS in and still no communication.

Anyone know anybody who can paint & fit a set of r33 gtr rear pods I have? Need them done gun metal grey. Cheap like $80-$100?

Do you know if the o2 sensor will fit a S1? If it does then consider it sold if can post to adelaide.

Synergy sourced a Hicas for me to try out which is orsum. Just hope it will work as the parts interpreter said he found 5-6 different model numbers lol.. Find out tuesday if it works or not. Here's hoping it does then I will just need to find a Hicas to buy Or sell the car.

Holy crap that is almost a weeks pay just getting it certified. That is way more money than I'm prepared to spend on this car again, especially after being told o2 sensor is dead and that's $165, plus coilpacks might be on the way out as it's almost stalling taking off from lights when it warms up. I just spent $2k getting major service and alarm so there is $0 cash left to spend for a very long time *sigh. Wish I NEVER bought a skyline. My shitty calibra was less trouble than this head case.

Heya man, hows the 32? I have nfi if its stock ECU or not, I assume it is as the entire car bar exhaust is stock but who knows.. If I can't get this solved I'm getting rid of the 33.. had enough

I desperately need to borrow a working Hicas computer. My hicas light comes on and my power steering dies when i turn my 33 off and then on again. My hicas wont speak to the scanner so I need to borrow another computer and head back to Synergy so i can find out if I need to buy another computer or weather it's something else in the car messing up. I'm trying to solve this problem instead of just putting a lock bar in and taking the bulb out... which after a lengthy google search seems to be main solution LOL!!! Please anyone?

**UPDATE** Went to Synergy to plug into their scanner and my Hicas wouldn't respond at all. Didn't matter if Hicas light was on or off. Leads me to think a thread I found in google about a transistor in the Hicas computer leaking black stuff could be the cause. Need to try and borrow a working Hicas from somewhere so I can plug it in and test it out as I can't afford to buy a new one and just wait and see..

Does the steering wheel have a boss kit? Hicas compat? $$$? Seperate the handbrake boot from the console?

Perfect rims to paint black, they'l come up awesome. Front tyres still have meat on them but the rears are almost slicks.
