I bought some R34 stock rims today to put on my R33, they looked bad ass I loved them. But then i started driving and noticed a clunk and a knocking sounds which gradually got worse and worse. Check the wheels and the front drivers side caliper was grinding on the rim and left a perfect groove all around the inside. The passenger side was making a noise and appeared to be touching the caliper aswell, but no visible marks.
Tyres on the rims are 225/45/17 and the stock R33's are 205/55/16
It's only the very tip of the caliper that is touching. Was wondering if maybe using an angle grinder to shave a small amount off would cause serious problems?
Any advice apreciated, I'm so sick of the headf**ks i keep getting trying to do simple stuff to this car.
CD player, 4 people tried to put it in. 2 scratched my dash, 1 gave up and the other blew my tail lights and dash.
Front strut, spent 2 days and an infinite amount of tools to get 1 nut off, ended up using an angle grinder to cut the nut off in the evening of the second day.
Now rims, been searching for ages and pull strings to get the cash quikly for a set that came up.. Now can't use them because they scrape..
Here's pictures of first, my front calipers and second my rears.
