So, for $1,200 at Nissan I get 1x o2 sensor, 1x Air filter, 1x car battery, 1x remote battery. After everything was put in, a second scan was done and now reports rear pair of o2 sensors fluctuating badly. They said it could be the sensors, or the cat as both sensors in front are reporting fine now. Also, the car is mostly better. Has a very slight stutter when taking off from a stopped start, nothing like it was. I have not tried it cold yet, guess I will find out tomorrow.

Good luck mate, I have a 2008 also and find it near impossible to get reliable part info online. I keep getting two different answers on parts I've been looking for with drastically different prices. I decided to bite the bullet and pay extra through Nissan. At least if the parts wrong, I'm not stuck with it.

I attempted to plasti dip my chrome spoiler. Using Armor All custom shield. The clear creates a huge cloud, dropping particles all over the car which dry milky. My car now has little rubber spots over every inch (except the masked areas) AND it came out like shit on the spoiler. Useless product, buy Plasti dip instead.

Im finding that part number "new" on ebay and the like for under $200 :S For some reason Nissan are also trying to charge me for 2x new AFM's @ $396ea. I wish I had found all this out sooner, the car is almost undrivable now and I think i've run out of time to wait for a cheaper options :S

Nissan quoted me $684ea on the o2 sensor # NI-22693-1NA0A

It is a VQ35, front passenger sensor. But they "suggest" replacing both front sensors.

Went to nissan for a scan today (after two auto elecs came up with nothing) and front LHS o2 sensor is all over the place on the graph. They want $1,788 to replace the front two o2 sensors WTF?

So had it scanned today, nothing... history looks clear as well. What a pain in the ass.

I bought mine from Jap auto world in Syd and drove it back to Adelaide. $24.5k for a 08 PV36 with 27k on the clock. Igor was very helpful and made things really easy.

I've never seen another v36 sedan in SA I've found them for about $70ea, but you're right it won't be o2 I'm hoping that the auto elec will be able to get a error code this week. All the mechanics ive ever been to have all been the swap & see kind of people. Hate them so much lol! Is that the same problem as you're having? with the chug from a stop & start (traffic lights) after it's warmed up every stop? With the same chug every 1 second @ 50% strength between 1000rpm & 2200rpm? Which goes away after 5-10 minutes? Have you recieved your cam shaft sensors yet?

Off to a auto elec in a few days to get the sensors checked. Hoping its simply the o2. Wish me luck

Only problem with a newer phone is having to power a MHL converter for the rca. I bought a second Galaxy S3 with that intent. Could never get any information on another board similar to Mimmics. I even made a phone dock combining the ash tray and a official Samsung gs3 dock with the MHL converter under it. Looked slick, would have been perfect. Open the ash tray door, slot your S3 in and BOOM it's on the touch screen integrated.

Yeh you don't need to explain, was simply hoping for a bit of sympathy being in Adelaide. Finding a custom blank rom for almost any android device isn't difficult, and takes 10mins max to do. Esp Samsung if you decided to use phone/tab mobos. Why would you lock the apps out? Driving distractions? If you went a gps board with no sim then there'd be no data to update social media without wifi at your house. You can also find simple dash replacements.

Anywho, a gps on the default touch screen on the bose/navi looks doable, probably would want to pay extra for a decent unit though. If you're in Sydney, here's the guys who do it. http://www.internationalmotorgroup.com.au/ I had hoped to get info from them on HOW it's done (so I could integrate a dedicated android phone/tab that would shit on everything anyones doing anywhere LOL!) but alas, no dice from anyone.

Any idea how they're able to integrate the cheapo unit into the bose/nav dsplay/touch? Seems like the answer all of us unlucky(?) owners have been searching for. And if simply buying a better quality unit is panadol to the headache then I feel (being a noob) that I'm missing a very big point as to why it's not commonly done?

Can you elaborate? Because it's totally sounding worth the headache LOL! From the photos on carsales showing the Nissan menu, it looks integrated into the current screen. Which is what everyone wants.

I just got an email back from them about it, "Thank you for your enquiry. We do the conversion ourselves. Cost is $870 fitted but you would have to get the car to us We do not source out the work. Regards"

Nissan called me today to tell me Nissan jap simply refuse to send them updated firmware. Also said in Adelaide only place to buy OEM parts (orderd from Jap) is from Main north Nissan. Failing that the guy on the phone assured me I could order from a GTR dealer in Melb. Scotty, when do you think you'd be getting around the putting the sensors in? Pretty eager to hear your results so I can follow
